>>9207062
That looks very nice for paper mache. Are the teeth made out of paper too?
>>9207091
>>9207679
thank you! And no, they're made of Premo sculpey clay which I painted with dry pastels.
>>9207679
I covered the paper mache itself with rapid filler which I sanded to get the smooth texture. here's how it looked prior to that

thank you for the nice words! I can do a tutorial but can't promise when I'd be able to get to it, I have a pretty tight schedule with two halloween parties coming up. But the jist of it is that I just make the basic shape with iron wire, thick enough to hold it's shape. I also criss cross some thinner wire to make sure there's no huge holes in the forehead etc. Then just start building paper mache strips, add some thicker clumps to give it shape and when it's dried you can do whatever you like. My IG is pikkupiri, I'll post the tutorial there when I get to it.

that's a good idea... i use poliester resin or "gelcoat" for similar results... its grate for papercraft or mache..
i love the teeth
>>9207956
Thank you anon! I'll keep a lookout for the tutorial! I appreciate it a lot <3
>>9207956
I will add you, too. Looking forward to that tutorial.
You don't happen to be finnish btw?
>>9207011
I'll post summore, want to keep this going.
How would one go about making a simple, classic skull mask with black sockets that covers your whole head and is solid and hard? You may be surprised how difficult it is to find anything like this commercially.
I'm not sure if this is the right thread for it, but /diy/ directed me here
I really want to make a giant, wearable Chen head. Where should I start and are there any good resources for this kind of thing?
should i make a new thread
Or something, I'm Swedish. Good job nonetheless!
Did some casting for the first time ever yesterday. Gonna sculpt myself some cool masks using these

face molds are super fun and very useful ...
>>9210139
Tack tack! Håhåhå
Keeping the thread going, Immortal Masks are amazing. Very pricy but the details are great
Am I the only one having trouble sculpting things proportionally? The right half always looks great but when I try to replicate it on the left side it looks like Satan's hairy butthole
>>9210734
Nope, not at all. I pull my hair out making things symmetrical.
>>9210738
Nice to hear that I'm simply not just being a tremendous n00b

Me wearing my latex Papa Emeritus III mask, in my Papa III costume.
I have a new Papa III mask being made, this time from a lifecast of my head, and instead of latex it will be silicone with punched-in human hair. Really looking forward to it, it'll be way more accurate than my latex one. The latex one is good, but no one can hear me when I talk, and it's a tad small.

aflojá con los puntos suspensivos, flaco
>>9209575
I'd say you can create it with paper mache for example. Just add a layer of filler or what the other anon suggested and sand that to get a smooth effect. You can cover the eyes with see-through fabric.
>>9211135
nice!
>>9211275
Sounds doable, thanks.
>>9211135
latex mask for the win...
this is mine
