Can we get a tumblr thread going?

No because people will whine over other people having shitty blogs and for shooping their tumblr selfies.
I have some followers but my posts never get any likes. I tag my photos with generic lolita stuff like #lolitafashion etc. How do you get followers and people to like your pics?

Post cute
Post often
No repeats

I think #lolita fashion has more followers than # lolitafashion. Same goes for other tags - it's not instagram.
I don't post all that often and I have a group sizeable enough for my liking. It could be more if I posted erryday but post at the very least once a week, post consistent styles or at least have a sort of consistent shoot, and you'll be good.
Just looking for more blogs to follow seeing how the cgl and cosplay tag on tumblr is disgusting and irrelevant

Post cats.

Is it okay to post a tumblr here for concrit? I'm wondering how I can improve my content.

I usually tag #lolita fashion, #substyle, #brand 1, #brand 2, #brand 3, and I make sure that the photos are decent to nice quality. Presentation really matters.
For outfit shots specifically, I try to make sure that the background matches the coord colorwise (pinkxwhite=white wall, blackxblack=gray wall) because I find that people are more likely to reblog images if they are visuall cohesive.

Make sure your picture quality is good. Really creative coords are not a must, but the presentation is everything. Try some different methods- post pictures of your coords on yourself, but also floords. If you have a lolita room, or do other cute activities, post those. If people see your other posts they might follow you for those and more people will see your actual coords, as well.
