In a world of bikini armor, let's have a thread for fully armored cosplay.
>>9187323
At a glance she looks like a skinny moomookun and it threw me off for a second, but as if she'd be competent enough to do this.
That aside, I like this thread and I like you, OP.
>>9187323
Thanks OP for this thread. I know this is ye Olde Fantasie Armor but I just can't get over boob compartments in armor. Like, what the hell. No protection at all. It's still better than bikini armor, but still.
Polite sage, please continue
What are some good female characters who wear full armour? I don't have a problem with chainmail bikini stuff in a fantasy setting, but I've always wanted to do a full armour suit and I can barely even pass for a bishounen, let alone a beefy knight.

Joan of arc.
Bonus points for no boobplate
If anyone knows what this is from, let me know please

pretty sure that's harley quinn from the avengers.

monhan is the best!
>>9187370
Aveline from Dragon Age 2 has great armor
>>9187370
Cassandra in Dragon Age wears armour, Eowyn in LOTR wears armour but it isn't female armour as she is disguised as a man. Brienne of Tarth.
I've really liked the armour in pic related, it's from a fashion shoot but I'm tempted to give making it as a full suit a shot (rather than the asymmetric one side thing its got going on).
>>9187382
Minus points because this isn't a cosplay
>>9187553
Anon there's no difference between female armor and male armor. It's been shown again and again that having armor that forms to the breasts is unnecessary and even dangerous
>>9187553
>female armor
fucking kek
>>9188662
For an unknown reason, after reading you post, I ask myself if, like breast plate, someone ever try to do a fat rolls plate
>>9187370
The easiest way to make armor look a bit more feminine is to taper in the waist. Boob cups are silly.
>>9188978
Couldnt find a good cosplay, but yes.
>>9188987
Tapering the waist and shoulders actually makes sense, since women are generally smaller than men. Boob cups would get in the way and possibly even cause danger to the wearer and compromise the structural integrity and function of the breastplate (it's meant to deflect blows away, having individually formed boobs would trap the sword in and also weaken the metal because it would have to bent more)
I love Skyrim glass armor
>>9189465
wishs he had chosen a nicer undersuit. One with a little metallic thread going through it would be nice, since it's supposed to be chainmail
>>9189435
Not to mention if you fall and land on your chest, and you have a hard metal "cleavage" ridge against your sternum...
>>9187356
If by boob comparments you mean 'boob plate', it's not quite as pronounced as tit-armor but the use of a faux enhanced musculature on bronze cuirasses by the Greeks and Romans does illustrate it's not in the realm of complete fantasy. Moreover is the fact that so often dress uniform (albeit not armor) would be unpractical to the point of being hostile to ergonomics and yet was still maintained and required.
Course the muscled cuirass is just pectoral, not E cup breasts.
>>9189387
thank you anon, you made my day
>>9189683
Yeah not nearly as bad as some of the canonball boobplates out there.
>>9187317
Conservative armor is evil. Ban it, only Liberal armor allowed from now on.

#satchelfullofdeplorables
Is scifi armor okay too?
>>9188999
bad paint job and no wig
Why does this cosplayer never wear a wig with that armor? It looks so trashy
Pagan friends had a medieval-themed bonfire for the Autumn Equinox, decided to roll this back out.

well if women were fighters in real life then they might have made boobplate for them
funny people think boob armor is unrealistic but are ok with women fighters
not to mention all these people running around with no hemlets, thats far more dangerous to the wearer than boob plate
>>9196637
And there's this faggot
>>9187317
This looks really good. What's the source material?

Retardicus here doesn't know his history kek

That's both horrible and wonderful at the same time.

>having armor that forms to the breasts is unnecessary and even dangerous
As a concesion to first point but heeding the second one, I've seen some female SCA fighters wearing a variant of Hussaria animee armor (solid upper breastplate with articulated horizontal lames for the lower half, for the uninitiated) with what's basically a "solid monoboob" in place of the flat upper part. It actually works. And is basically the ONLY way to make "female-looking" armor that has proved itself after actual usage without it being a liability
>>9189683
The muscled cuirass was actual war armor for whole centuries (plural) in Greece and Italy before being relegated to parade armor by late Romans. The musculation was not impractical nor did it create "point traps".
If you want a classical times actual boob cuirass, look at the triple disk cuirasses.

Some examples were as... flamboyant... as pic related.

Did you know, most XIV century armor was actually tappered as fuck at the waist?
>weaken the metal because it would have to bent more
As much as I argreed with first part, and even on the "point trap" part betwen boobs, nope on this one. Metal actually gets harder when you bend and hammer it. XIV century armor was sleek and smooth, but most XV century armor tended to have LOTS of flutes hammered all over the plates to actually strengthen them.

Why would Varian wear winged eyeliner and falsies too? I like the armor and I like seeing conservative armor, but I really don't like how a lot of people leave things out like undergarments/gloves. This cosplayer literally wore a t-shirt, leggings and a corset underneath this cool looking armor, and it looks really sloppy.
Does this count?
>>9189683
'boob plate' doesn't create the same impression as 'compartment'- in particular the fact that it has catch points and would possibly injure the wearer if it was twisted out of place or caught in a bad spot.
>>9196637
if you want to emphasize the figure wear a corset you knob, not armor.
Or wear Madonna's cone bra.
>>9197405
I have a breast plate I was required to wear back when I did competative fencing, and it's hilarious looking. It's like D sized molded boob trap that I had to wear under my lame. The guy's protector honestly felt better and was less obtrusive since that shit seriously directed hits right into my sternum. I hated it so much.
