New Online Comm thread!
Let's talk about the girl who is pretty much blog posting on RC about how her school wants her to do a fashion show but she doesn't want her class mates to wear her pieces.
I felt bad for her at first but she's sucking the sympathy out of people and posted all six dresses she has. Now it's just "weh feel bad for me guise"
>>
who caught caps of the 15-y.o. pitching a fit to that indie brand owner about her $40 cutsew being "ridiculously expensive"
>>
>>9149992
damn, I missed this too!
>>
>>9149992
> $40 cutsew
Bitch, I've bought blouses from Western stores that were more expensive.
>>
>>9150004
When the ita in your comm wants to buy a blouse for ~10 usd
>>
>>9149978
Thank you for making this banner the OP pic, people in these threads always ask what RCU is
>>
>>9149992
But a 40$ cutsew IS ridiculously expensive when said cutsew is basically a t shirt with a print on it. Let's be honest
>>
>>9151770
It wasn't a print cutsew, it had a fancy collar.
And the thing is, even if you think something is too expensive, it's really rude to say that to the creator on their post. She can think that to herself and she is welcome to not buy it, but if that's all she has to say, what's the point?
>>
>>9151777
I realize after typing that it sounds really defensive. I am not the designer who made that cutsew but I do make things I sell at cons etc. and "this is too expensive/I can make it myself" is just such a crappy thing to say to a person selling stuff they made.
>>
>>9151770
Walk into a department store and you'll find $90 plain shirts. Look up James Perse. Look up Wildfox. Just because it's expensive for YOU doesn't mean it's overpriced.
>>
>>9151770

There are more overpriced shirts. My bf just bought a bunch of plain t-shirts at banana republic for around that much. And this does not have 'just a logo' on it. It's a cutsew made for more formal lolita with a nice collar. You'd be hard pressed to find a good cutsew like that in any western store. Even Axes Femme tends to sell these types of cutsews for ~3500 yen at the cheapest, and they mass produce these with sometimes questionable lace.
>>
>>9151770
Brand cutsews start at ¥10k new, regardless of how fancy they are, and every one I've encountered has been made in China. The ones from that indie brand are made in the USA, where manufacturing costs are much higher.

And for fuck's sake, if $40 is too much for you in lolita fashion, you're gonna have a bad time.
>>
They let Frances into RC:U
>>
>>9153524
Is that thread getting deleted? I could've swore I saw it go from 123 comments to 33...
>>
>>9153558
Right now it's still there. My dumbass comments are still up too.
>>
>>9153559
I can see it but the number keeps changing its crazy. Or maybe I'm just high out of my mind. The comments are only mildly funny though.
>>
>>9152384
Nah, some are as cheap as 4000.

My problem with it is that it looked like a normal tshirt was bought and she added a handmade poorly done bat collar that didn't match it.
>>
>>9153524
Does anybody here know this Frances outside of fb? How is she in real life
>>
>>9154076
She's not a lolita so I doubt it. Not like she goes to meets or anything
>>
>>9154076
It's highly unlikely, people are still debating on whether she's just an elaborate troll, and whether she's a woman or actually a sissy acting out a fantasy/fetish. It could even be some combination of all of the above: It's possible that Frances was an actual person (whether a woman or a sissy is again debatable) way back when on LJ and this current incarnation of her is a troll that picked up her act. Who knows?
>>
>>9153524
She's been a member for 3 weeks now before posting
That makes me think its not a troll
>>
>>9154287
sissy confirmed
>>
>>9153562
Pretty normal to Fb nowadays. I guess it can't decide wether or not to count the replies in the total amount of comments.
>>
>>9153690
Can you post it here? I'm not on fb but I'm curious.
>>
>>9154281
Considering how much they go on about pantyhose and high heels, my vote is on sissy.
>>
>>9154903
That makes sense.
What a shit site.
>>
>>9153690
The whole thing, shirt and bat collar, are factory produced so I don't know what you're on about
>>
Really nice girl in my comm. But sometimes she can't make it to events, and the reason will be because her parents won't let her. This time she said "I can't justify to my parents going to an event so soon after another one"
She's in her 20s
The previous event is a whole month earlier.
I don't understand how you can legally be an adult and still having to ask your parents to do things. And being told no because an entire month is way to soon to go and do anything else.
>>
>>9155402
Well, does she work? Shes lives at her parents house?
No, yes? My house and money, my rules.
If you want to have your things, work for them.
>>
>>9155433
Why are you assuming she doesn't work?
>>
>>9155461
Why are you assuming she does?
I only gave an example of a reason some parents have.
>>
>>9149992
You mean non lolita appropriate literal t-shirt with a bat collar? Who thought having tee sleeves was OK?
>>
>>9155433
Still, not being allowed to leave the house? You have to admit that's weird that a grown woman isn't allowed to make the decision to leave the house to see friends for a few house more than once a month.
>>
>>9155402
Why does it matter? Mind your own business.
>>
>>9155518
I think anon's post was meant for this underage girls + parents thread.

>>

>>
>>9155402
This is my comm, are you new? Literally everyone knows about her situation....
she has health issues and has to live at home due to her circumstances (financial and health related) she also doesn't have a license. She literally can't leave her house unless her parents drive her to an event and given she lives all the way in the middle of nowhere, hardly anyone is willing to go pick her up.

wtf is sayuri/yume lolita, or rather wtf does she think it is?
>>
>>9160353
I just googled "yume lolita" and the first result was a facebook page for "Sayuri Yume Lolita Sweet Dream Store".

It honest to god looks like a milanoo reseller.
>>
>>9160365
Ah, well, I guess that person must've found that and assumed it was a type of lolita.
>>
>>9160353
I don't even know what it is. But by her page and weeb posts, I think she things it's like magical girl sailor Lolita or some shit? You can love sailor moon and Lolita without having to come up with a name you saw once. Fandom Lolita is a thing, but when you're that hardcore weeb you won't make it work when you probably won't fork out more then 40 dollars for a dress.
>>
>>9159547
It's almost impressive how wrong this is.
>>
Why the fuck is it so difficult to post secrets on time? Then the mods wonder why it's losing popularity. What a joke.
>>
>>9160353
Actually I think yume lolita is a real thing. I was fortunate enough to have it explained to me at Rufflecon by the Triple Fortune designers. It's the kind of OTT sweet or classic lolita that features a lot of longer silhouettes, lacy textures, props like crowns and scepters, wings, elaborate hairstyles or headpieces, so on and so forth.
>>

Is this girl serious? 1000€ for Holy Lantern. I think she doesn't know that the market price has dropped hugely since the two MTO.
>>
>>9163821

Having waded through her garbled message, she doesn't seem to be asking 1000euroes for it, rather she seems to be saying she paid 1000 euroes for first edition Holy Lantern, which would mean she bought it before the re-release and MTOs, which makes sense. Seems like she's asking for offers from buyers.
>>
>>9163821
>I paid 1000 euros for the whole set
>I don't want 1000 euros back

Her phrasing is horrendous but jfc anon she outright said she wasn't asking 1000.

>I don't want to ignore rules!
>>
>>9167542
Came here to post this. This is the most pants-on-head retarded thing I've ever seen.

I refreshed my newsfeed and saw that she posted this in another sales group - if she's smart enough to post it in real sales groups I don't know why she's fucking dumb enough to post it in this group that has nothing to do with sales. She admits that she's ignoring one of the rules. WTF does she think is gonna happen? Does she think the mods are gonna make an exception for her because she's getting ~married~? I just want to know why people are so entitled.

Also, this is just tacky as fuck. I'm a believer in that people should be free to wear whatever they'd like to their own wedding but - and with all respect to Pumpkin Cat, it's a nice taobao brand - why would you want to wear a halloween taobao dress to your own wedding?
>>
>>9167542
Lol.. which dress was it?
>>
>>9167550
I'm batshit crazy about Halloween and even I wouldn't wear a halloween dress for my wedding. I hope she gets sick of Lolita like two months after her wedding and has to have those photos forever.

Not unless you're an entitled poorfag. Don't want to buy it? Just skip past it, don't bitch about it being too expensive because the person wants some semblance of a profit off of it. >>
>>9151777
Yeah, this mentality is why I'm scared to sell things I make. Anyone saw that girl in RC:UC boasting about the button and wrong lace?
>>
>>9175949
Yeah, mixed feelings on that one. On one hand it probably was a genuine mistake on the sellers part and this is the risk that comes with buying secondhand. On the other hand, paying a lot of money for something and then finding out it's damaged or not as described is the worst feeling ever. Personally I think a partial refund should happen but only enough to get the button "professionally" fixed.
>>
>>9175966
To be honest, it seemed like she was a vit too eager to get money back. It was a generic white AP blouse with not much wrong with it. Replace the thread in the button and it's in perfect condition. Honestly I doubt it was that expensive, her attitude towards the button kinda makes me assume that she is not used to brand pieces and their prices. I agree the seller should have mentioned about the button and even replaced it but it's not that big deal.
>>
>>9175975
>This

Seemed like a noob who wasn't comfortable paying the price and was looking for ways to justify the cost. If she's smart she'll drop it and not make a huge deal out of it.
>>
>>9175949
Yeah, I have a feeling that she was expecting different answers because she was leading the conversation in a certain direction

> I know that it was a factory default and that they are not at wrong, but I still feel that it should have been mentioned
>Yes, I agree that it's not her fault, however I've gotten a defective product. In my mind, it's the sellers responsibility to check the item for any faults before they ship it.
> I'm just afraid that since this fault was so obvious and they decided to not say anything, that they knew about the factory damage and overcharged me.

Kinda annoyed me that they decided to freeze the thread themselves after a while, this is still a chat group...
>>
>>9175949
Yeah, I don't know what to think of it if honest.
I know what it feels like when something you buy doesn't come in the state it was labeled as but she needs to be more patient.
Why even make that thread?
Why not wait for a reply from the seller first.
Just because the seller read her pm and didn't reply right away doesn't mean they won't reply at all.
Maybe they only had the time to read and wanted to reply when they got home from work?
But I do think it's a bit neglecting of the seller not to state the button was reattached.
They might not have noticed the lace was sown on backwards though.
Why is the buyer stating it's not as good as new though?
Just because the button was reattached doesn't mean it was worn at all or worn a lot.
I think the best solution is that the buyer sends the blouse back and is refunded, since it appears she's never going to be satisfied anyway.
She seems bit too eager on a refund, I agree with >>9175975 on that.
>>

I detest the sjws, but as a (former) lolita Batty should know how people clinging to a certain fetish/word are actually a nuisance.
It's like those porn blogs that insist on tagging kinky fashion as lolita fashion despite nymphet being a thing.
>>
>>9184321
I think the most hilarious part is that 2 of the 3 people who said "as long as it's clean" are black.
>>
>>9184409
I found the person who was messaging HB's url and their about is pretty amusing if you want to look. I don't like HB but I do love that cringy 16 year old lecturing her lmao

>sheisalreadyhere
>>
>>9184321
I don't understand this because if anything it's white girls that are the most often guilty of wearing nasty greasy messy hair with their lolita
>>
>>9184409
Futanaru isn't even trans women though? They really don't exist in nature if she's talking about the traditional ones (ball-less with vag). I can really relate to her as I love trap porn but trans women have jumped onto that word thinking it means them but actually 2D traps are just cute crossdressing boys. I just gave up defending the word as it was pointless.

She probably should just keep to herself about her fetishes though.
>>
>>9184487
I'm debating whether or not to point that out.

>>

Depends, do you look white? Though it would add another level of beautiful if they started shitting on you for being white and you pointed out that you're biracial. Depends on if you want to open that can of worms. They don't seem to hold grudges online so as soon as another perceived injustice comes along you'll be forgotten.

>>9184528
Ironically that discussion made me remember that there were black specific groups out there that I could look to for hair inspo. I sent a pending request to join one before I scrolled down and saw the inevitable debate brewing. Not super related, just thought it was funny.
>>
>>9184321
I've seen enough limp oily white girl hair in coords to know that that's not true
>>
>>9184505
I considered saying something (also mixed race) but I I think several people look for things to take offence to. Dirty hair comments are usually directed at people with straight hair as it easily looks greasy so why end up having to discuss the oppression of POC and standard of beauty EVERYTIME an even remotely race related topic comes up. emporium
>>
>>9184321
I like that the first person to call the girl in question out was white and blonde
>>
>>9184321
I have seen white girls called out multiple times because their hair is flat, thin, greasy looking etc. Many of the girls weren't especially sayin black girls should make sure their hair is clean, it was more a general statement that any hairstyle can work if it's clean and nice, wheter the person wearing it is black or white. I also wonder how they think all white people are aware of the racist stereotypes related to africanamerican people. I live so far away in a society which has been very mildly informed about those and would have absolutely no idea what that kind of comment could refer. Of course that's not an excuse on everything but damn that just seems like a harmless general comment.

>>
>>9184498
Fucking this. Fuck WF for saying white girls rarely get lectured about their hair hygiene. That's beyond false. White girls let their hair get so oily and nasty from not washing it. Maybe no one tells them about it to save face but their hair can get really dingy.
>>
>>9184487
Please do. I'm ready to jump into the thread and I'm white. I'm sick and tired of wonderfuck being a racist cunt.
>>
The girl with the Initals MB was also a massive fucking twat to that poor Korean girl. She always comes off like that though. Ending the conversation with "These discussions are important". No they aren't. Jumping on someone for an opinion or an obviously not racist comment is not important or making anything better. They are literally killing western society. We're going to rip ourselves into two separate groups again and it's really disappointing. That and all of these events that are suddenly popping up that are "PoC only please safe space UwU" holy hell if white people did that would there ever be an uproar.
>>
>>9185426
It's like a game at this point. Call someone out for being "problematic", educate them with walls of text on why they are problematic, virtual high five the people who agree with you. It's uncalled for and unbearable. Trust me, I used to be part of it.
>>
>>9185332

>>
>>9185411

WF is so awful. I'm pretty sure she's still just around because she's from Sac which has a small comm of mostly itas who wear Taobao/Bodyline and WF has shit tons of brand so they look up to her even though she's ita as fuck. She also hosts most of their meets (iirc) because soccer mom wants to be ~lolita famous~ in San Fran instead.
>>
>>9185464
I wish they would try to educate someone who could actually learn from it, though.

I hate having to "qualify" myself, but I teach in the hood at a very social justice-oriented school in a very liberal part of the United States. There is nothing that they're trying to tell me that I can't easily experience first hand from my students or confer with a peer about.

Meanwhile, people in other parts of the country still don't see a problem with lynching or the n-word and will continue to do so until someone sets them straight. We can argue semantics and cultural degradation all we want, but while they're arguing with someone who by and large is trying to support people like them, others still think it's okay to kill people because of the color of their skin. It's so infuriatingly counterproductive and pointless-- you're right, it feels much more like a game than an actual desire to address actual problems.
>>
Please reply to my post!!!!

>>
>>9185770
I want to see a wondercunt vs. soccermom fight. The dramu would be delicious.

>>9185815
I doubt that the kind of people who see no problem with murdering someone for the color of their skin would be convinced by these SJW types, though. Plus, WF and co. are internet tough guy bullies who get their jollies from lecturing people with weaker convictions than themselves online. Put one of them in a room with an actual racist and they wouldn't dare to say a word.
>>
>>9186053
>>9185815
A conversation with an actual racist would take much more patience and effort. Too risky I guess. It's a lot easier to "call out" people who're already willing to listen to you and fear social recourse. Part of the reason slacktivism is so popular is because it gives a feeling of a accomplishment with minimal risk or effort. You've changed society for the better and all you had to do was pick apart a normal conversation to find something that could somehow be interpreted as problematic!
Not to mention fellow sjws who will cheer you on for trashing the poor sucker that unintentionally said something wrong.
>>
>>9184321
The girl that started the debate got weirdly defensive by the end. Why? I thought she and WF decided that they won.

If the events are far enough from her house that her parents possibly either driver her there or pay for her gas, then it might be putting a strain. It's possible she either doesn't work or doesn't make enough to really cover all expenses, hence why she lives at home. It's common for people up to age 28 to still live at home today because it's just too expensive and unviable to move out. It's easier usually to double up and still live with your parent while working, and if they're in bad enough shape (especially considering from an outsider's pov like mine and her parents, Lolita is unnecessarily expensive anyway) that might explain why they're so tight on it, especially if most of her money ends up gong to her hobby instead of helping pay bills or saving up to eventually move yknow?

I don't know. I don't know this girl but this is how I can see it from her parent's perspective, especially if they happen to have an older fashioned view about work ethic like a lot of people past their 40s think.
>>
>>9155513
If she was walking to and from the event, sure, but if they in any way contribute to her transportation (such as paying for the car, gas, or flat out driving her there) then it's not unreasonable for them to put a restriction on it, especially if it's a far distance.

the mother sounds pretty crazy, but the girl should not care so much about her opinion. If your boyfriend's mother doesn't like your clothes, so what? As long as you're dressed somewhat conforming to general standards of what's acceptable, people will see the bitching mother as the crazy one, not you.

Yeah even though it is a legit topic it feels cringy and will inevitably devolve into a tumblr -like hug box. And this is as someone who was actually diagnosed with autism. I keep my lolita and my 'tism separate from each other

No only is this post embarrassing as fuck for the poor newbie (though, Nina and Kate aren't THAT different personality-vise), but Choke's reaction is making things even more cringey.

lol I came here to post this as well

Choke seriously needs to get that stick out of her ass
>>
>>9203485

Holy fucking shit could she be ruder to a newbie? Does she forget she's not anon off cgl?
>>

This was an entertaining thread.

literally laughed the entire time, must be really embarrassing for OP

Seriously I cannot stand choke and how much people lick her asshole.
>>
>>9203930
My favorite part of that thread is when they try to act like Kate is the only infamous one
>>
>>9203482
>>9203485
I like how Choke's trying to pretend she's better than Kate when they're both the same kind of bitter, scamming bitches who can't take any criticism.

>>
>>9203485
I don't like Kate, but can you imagine the shitstorm if she started behaving like this? Yet choke gets a free pass because....?
>>
>>9205147
She claims to have assburgers or some shit and a lot of people think she's pretty for whatever reason. Honestly though a lot of people are fed up with her shit too, but are probably too jaded/tired from Kate to bother.
>>
>>9203482
imo i think there's a chance that OP was trying to make a snide remark, but regardless all of the comments on here were cringey as fuck. all of the wannabe efamous lolitas coming out on the "omg so controversial xD" post leaving comments that contribute nothing just to get themselves involved
>>
>>9205205
Kate, choke clair, and batty are the ones that do that whom I enjoy watching cry on the internet. I wonder if they are all secretly friends and just do this shit to ego stroke them selves. Although batty has kept her fat mouth quiet for a while.
>>
>>9205149
I have assburgers and I manage to not go full retard online every week or scam people so yeah, no sympathy there.
>>
>>9205411
There's people like you who live with it then there's people who probably don't have it and use it as an excuse to be an ass publicly. It's a way to back peddle when you fuck up.

my first thought
>>
>>9208744
I think it's a size issue than the frequency of the dress popping up
>>
>>9208990
>it's old
>you can't find the specific cut and colorway you want
Doesn't sound like a size issue.
Side note: People referring to these prints as old trips me out. It could've been that long ago, could it?

Does anyone know the story behind this? I absolutely never want to use this SS whoever they are.
>>
>>9209005
She probably bought it and then didn't pay for shipping for a long time. Some shopping services require you to pay shipping within a certain time frame (ex: Buyee gives you 90 days) or else they'll return/toss the product.
>>
>>9209013
It seems like if she needed it for Rufflecon she would have paid it though right? That seems so crazy to not pay $30 in shipping and lose a $150-$200ish purchase.

Immature kids from RC:U trying to be 2edgy and troll. Wish they would keep their stupid out of lolita updates; we have lolita humor, rufflechat and RC:U. Don't post stupid shit in the only useful FB group.
