My photos never come out good when other people take them. I just assume because they're using a phone camera they haven't before so they just hit a button and call it good for me.
I also suck at posing still, but when I take mirror selfies it looks fine and not that dark and I crop out the stuff around the mirror so all you see is me in the coord.

I use an iphone and have the "Layout" app (the one made by instagram. It has a bunch of options to put multiple photos into one, (3x3x3, landscape/portrait options etc) pic the layout that has 2 portrait images but make both the same picture. Use the "flip" option to mirror it on one side. Save and upload.

I think what we're picking up on is that the colour balance is pretty decent for once. Looks like she's got near-perfect matching blues, gotta give her props for that. That, and the bears, are probably why we think this outfit could be cute.

What your photoshop can't fix is how messy and slouchy everything looks. Her collar looks like a tissue tucked into her neckline and tucking her blouse into her skirt is giving the illusion of a fat paunch. Her shoe ribbons are making these messy loops that are all over her shoes and socks. Her hair somewhat looks dried out and frizzy. What she really needs are a better fitted blouse without that tissue bib collar, that she doesn't have to tuck in, shoes with better ribbons that are trimmed to size, and maybe better socks and some hair serum (or a session at the hair salon).
