>rooms sold out in 30 minutes
I really wanted to go.
It looks so cool. It's a video game con.
But for fuck sake the fact the hotels sold out AND THE OVERFLOW AS WELL within minutes burns my ass into wanting to never touch the convention now.

Magfest is usually really well planned, the hotel fuckup was due to a miscommunication with the hotel IIRC. If you've been wanting to go, give it a chance, it's a blast.
The hotel my friend got is way too much, so I want to wait on pre-reg until we can find a better room. The one we have is $440 a night, split between four people that is way too much.
You can get a hotel up north a bit and just take an Uber in. The bus goes there too. Still I'd much rather get a closer hotel.

It wasn't even a fuckup, they just sold out lightning fast. That's not MAG's fault desu.

Can they expand their hotel blocks in future years, though? Or at least go with more overflow hotels.

Apparently they have the entire Gaylord reserved this year.
I'm still determined for a gaylord room. Gonna call them everyday till I get one. Magfest isn't fun unless you are in the gaylord.
There was no deposit needed for a room, some poorfag is gonna cancel sooner or later.
15 years of MAGFest, and now it's suddenly exploded in popularity.
Can't blame them for that. Blame the people telling other people to go.
Daytripping from DC on Saturday and Sunday just to do animu cosplay like the bandwagon jumping scumbag I am.
Hope the Christmas lights will still be up.

>Magfest isn't fun unless you are in the gaylord.
Very true. I havent gone to magfest in a few years, it just isnt as fun across the street in the overflow. Nothing like wandering drunk, playing some arcade games with a band there, finding Jon St John and crashing a room party or ten.

Pretty much this. They always sell out in an hour. Even when you are in that little square, the food places sell out of food, sometimes the first day even.
Well, tickets just went up $5 'cause I waited for more to get onboard. This blows.
ANYONE STILL NEED TO BUY A TICKET?
I've got 4 in our group so far (including myself). That's 4/8, would anyone be interested before prices hike up again?
