Because there is not that much new stuff to fill a thread. Lets try to post new coords.

i found pic related today on Yahoo Auctions and had no idea it existed.

I have seen it before one time. I almost wanted to get it but the skirt would look awful on me, I would only wear the top
>>9134622
Manuscript Print bustier and skirt. there is only one pic of the bustier and skirt in gold trim on Lolibrary so if anyone with an account wants to update the listing, here is what i saved
>>9134624
I really love the front of these JSKs. It's one of the things that made me fall in love with lolita.

yeah the cut on the skirt seems odd

>tfw people use "EGA" to mean "Ouji but with pants or worn by a man"
>tfw people use "Aristocrat" to mean "Neo-Victorian" in general
>tfw someone calls a Moitie dress "not real EGL" or "not gothic"
>tfw people won't buy Moitie because it doesn't use bold, cartoonish prints like AP does
>tfw Mana is out of the GLB
>tfw most people in the fashion don't have a clue about EGL or EGA
>tfw meetups like pic related will never happen again
even if this pic is full of mediocrity at least, once upon a time, it was possible

Ornament Table with the bolero
>>9134664
It can be possible again, trends change. You can show initiative in your comm by organizing gothic, kuro/shiro and egl/ega themed meet-ups. I organized a gothic meet-up to go to a visual kei concert and half of the people were dressed in Moitié. There were only 4 people in total but still.
>>9134624
I'm thinking about buying this, but I'd like to match the blues in it with accessories. Does Moitie still put out socks? I wish they'd do it more regularly.
>>9134664
It's funny because I am very new to the fashion but I absolutely love moitie and want a closet full of it. I'm sure it can be possible again.
>>9134687
They only have those tight-like socks right now. It's been ages since they released 'normal' socks sadly.
>>9134664
I started wearing lolita nearly two years ago and I'm confused about what EGA, ouji and kodona is, possibly because there are so many wrong examples and some misguided explanations. I love this coord but I don't know how I should call this style. If you don't mind I'm going to post a handful of Atelier Pierrot coords that I like.

more table ornament
>>9134734
I'm also confused about what the difference is between EGL and gothic lolita

>EGA, ouji and kodona
first: kodona is not a Japanese category. it is a mistake people have been trying to correct since the early 2000s. in the West, people usually use it to mean sweet or casual ouji with Victorian influence.
"ouji" itself is the masculine version of lolita. it covers as much ground as lolita covers, from cutesy to elegant, subtle to OTT. it is a mirror image of lolita, and any category lolita can have, ouji can also have.
EGA is also related to lolita, but it is strictly gothic. there are masculine and feminine versions, and it is not uncommon to have an androgynous in-between look. the general idea is to emulate a gothic aristocrat, so the gothic aesthetic is really important, which means hair and makeup and general cut of the clothes all cry out "gothic!"
in the West, (male) Aristocrat usually means either classic or gothic ouji with pants and few frills, or else any kind of vaguely Victorian menswear.
pic related: an EGA coord from Mana-sama.
>>9134743
for some people: EGL is a super-narrow slice of gothic lolita that takes its cues from early/mid-2000s and Moitie especially. all EGL is gothic lolita, but not all gothic lolita is EGL.
for most (Western) people: EGL is a catch-all term for the lolita fashion family, which includes aristocrat and ouji and often otome.
>>9134753
also, some EGA definitely overlaps with lolita or ouji. pic related could be fairly called an ouji coord in the right context. (but calling >>9134753 ouji would be silly)
>>9134721
>I love this coord but I don't know how I should call this style.
me neither, it looks kind of like roomwear or something a goth might wear to the seashore.
>>9134776
possibly, if coorded right. the lace at the bottom makes it seem like those are drawers rather than shorts, but it is hard to tell.
>>9134744
Moitie florals are based
Are there any open Moitie stores remaining? I really want to visit one, but I've heard there aren't any left?
>>9134622
I've never seen this either, I dig it.
>>9134844
They all closed a few years ago, but there are some shops that sell Moitié that are worth a visit, like Atelier Pierrot. It doesn't have the atmosphere that Moitié shops had, but their coords always inspire me.
I'm wondering the same about Alice Auaa, do they still have a physical shop? I heard it's a really weird experience to go there cause they only let 1-2 people in at a time.
>>9134812
Requesting more Moitie florals, please! Do you know the name of this print?
Serious question: Would you all like to write some letters to the Gothic & Lolita Bible staff regarding them turning away Mana and Moitie? I just don't have the Japanese ability to really write a formal letter to them to express our feelings, but I'm sure some of us here do.
>>9135019
We could try but I don't think it'll work. Goth is kinda dead in Japan
>>9135149
Gothic lolita or just goth in general?
>>9134917
Not previous anon but this one is simply called blue rose print. There is a French girl selling it somewhere.
>>9135149
>>9135182
I don't think gothic lolita is dead, just Moitie's specific variety. AatP has skyrocketed in popularity the past few years and their gothic prints are the ones that sell out fastest and go for the most secondhand. However, AatP is far less repetitive with their goth prints than Moitie. Single tone gothic churches on black gets pretty boring when it's virtually the only thing you do throughout the entirety of your brand's existence.
>>9135369
Moitie does it well. I think the issue is that EGL has died, since there is little point if you aren't wearing it to shows. As a street fashion, EGL hasn't been in vogue in a while, but MMM has a lot of life left in lolita. Maybe Mana-sama just pissed someone off?
I've always wanted to buy some Moitie but their tiny bust measurements scare me. Is the 82cm bust measurement on pretty much everything accurate? Or is that the minimum and the dresses stretch beyond that? My bust measurement isn't very large (89-90cm) but I do have an E cup so I always worry about the fit.
>>9135792
Their measurements are usually not accurate because the shop uses flat measurements, even for fully shirred dresses. If you are interested in buying something you should look up the measurements from a secondhand seller or ask someone. Sometimes you can find the right measurements on lolibrary but usually not.
>>9135792
The OPs cut like the one just released are usually quite generous. The JSKs tend to not be very boob friendly.
>>9135792
These new JSKs have back shirring and front lacing but are still listed with 82cm bust

Wunderwelt has a lot of nice Moitie i do not usually see:

loving the bodice on pic related

I thought this was some weird official thing, like for the brands anniversary considering the background. I'm amazed by Moitie lovers sometimes. Iron Gate is truly a legendary print.

I want this dress so badly
What's everyone dream list for Moitie? Mine;
>Cathedral
>Gothic Arch
>Silent Moon
>Iron Gate
>Sleeping Garden
>Blue Roses
>Monochrome Rose
Some day I will own them. I don't care how much blood of the innocent it takes.
>>9140575
I have a lot of Moitié on my current wishlist, some of it pretty low priority because I'm focussing on finding Church Gate (I have a coord for it in mind and already have everything for it) and my dream dress, and I seriously need more blouses. So I guess my dream list would be
> Rose Design OP in black
> Church Gate skirt in black x white
> a lot of blouses
I wish white didn't look so shitty on me.

All of my want. All of it.

Does anyone in here know how old Mana is?
>>9149123
He's a bampire.
>>9148788
Anyone know a sauce for these shoes? They are the perfect balance of chunky and stylish.
>>9149123
Over 9000
>>9149924
Maybe Yosuke or Kera. Could even be Queen Bee. It would be easier to tell from the side.
>>9149123
I don't know how old he is, but I think he started Malice Mizer not long after finishing high school. I don't know at what age Japanese people finish highschool and I think he had like 1 other band in between but that didn't last long. So you can look up the years and get a general idea.
>>9150427
Japanese high school ends at roughly the same age as US ones, so about 18.
In other news just snagged my first Moitie main piece. I already have a blouse I love (Seriously, the buttons are honest to god mother of pearl. Hnnnngh) so I'm quite excited.
