I'd love if someone did some art of my casual j-fash outfit I wore to go out for dinner with my parents for my birthday. I also had a faux deep red stole but I didn't take ant picture with it in case that's something you'd want to draw in. Love the overall feel of this! Hope you don't mind a poopy phone picture. I'm at work and have to work with what I've got!

But if you're open to a little critique, I did have one or two suggestions to make it even better! It's a lot of different things mashed together. I would replace the current otks with some white lacy ones, and balance out the black of the dress with a cute black beret or something. Don't get me wrong, you look super cute, just a but too much at once.

thank you for the concrit, I was wearing a big navy ribbon in ribbon in the back of my hair and the red stole so the otks sort of matched a bit better irl, at lease I hope. I pretty much just couldn't resist wearing those otks because I only wear sweet in lolita and they're ivory so I never get the chance to wear them so I really wanted a chance to wear them out. I think its also partially the brooch that's throwing it off it but I was actually partially using it to keep the dress from falling down. I'll keep your advice in mind for next time I coord this dress as its so versatile dressing it down I'm sure will be nice too.

You're entitled to your opinion of course. I'll admit it isn't my best work. Did it in about five minutes after just getting home from a con. Didn't really like it all that much but figured 'fuck it' I'll post it anyway. I'm actually glad that nobody bullshitted me because I thought it wasn't that great. we took a damn vote about this and the majority of users want the draw thread to be more open. i feel like this type of thread could even be separate from the main draw thread as a "jfash portrait general" because it has a decent culture that would be sad to lose. but as a draw thread it is too restrictive, and most seagulls are dissatisfied.

anon here to give concrit! Hopefully it doesnt come off snarky, that is not my intentions at all.

I think for your first time drawing lolita, you did pretty well! I cant tell if you redrew the print or if you pasted it in from the web. Pasting it in is totally fine btw, at least for when you are doing art for non-profit like this. If you did redraw the print you did a freaking fantastic job since it looks so detailed. My main concrit would just be your overall chibi style. It just looks very novice right now, especially the head and face. The beady eyes of the faces are really odd to me and thats something I would recommend working on. Look at images of other peoples drawn chibis that you like, see what they do specifically. Even recreate their drawings and learn from them.
Another thing you did well that I really like is the shading on the cape. I noticed you did the shadows a dark blue instead of just a darker red. This is A+! It really gives good depth. I think the shading of the hair could use some work though, its just too simple in contrast to the shading youve done in the background/cape/and the details of the dress. This applies for the skin of the face as well, I think you could get some nicer shading in there with highlights and shadows.
