Anons, I struggle. I'm a trans guy but a big majority of the characters I cosplay are female (there are so many animu girls I think are super cute) and so any time the topic of me being a guy comes up, I get called a fake trans guy and shit storms brew. I mean I've tried to cosplay more guys so people get off my back but I can't seem to find makeup teqniques that make me pass well, and I try to explain that I don't cosplay for the gender but characted appreciation but everyone seems to keep calling me a fake trans guy anyways.

I don't use eyeliner when I do masculine makeup. I think my issue is my contouring. I've tried a proper shade for contouring but it never seems to be visible, so I tried a darker shade and I just can't seem to get that looking dark enough either. Idk what to do. It could be the tone of the countour you're using. Are you pale? If so a lot of contour products will be too warm and end up looking like dirt on your skin. Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in the color Wheat is supposed a good gray/cool toned shade for contouring on pale skin.

From your reply I take it that you're a self-diagnosed "transguy" that's not seeking for HRT or surgeries but want to cosplay girl characters because dressing up as some other girl than yourself is more comforting since you have some kind of self-image/esteem issues and blaming your gender for it. Regardless of it all, no matter who the girl I'm cosplaying, I never wear a bra. I always wear my binder even if the character is busty. I don't want to make my body look feminine, I would hate that. My base build is fine too,I'm not curvy or thick. I have wide shoulders, it's literally just my face I have an issue with and height (5'6")

I'm in much the same position I cosplay both female and male characters, am a lolita and I like "girls" clothes for everyday but unless the female character calls for other wise I'm almost always in my binder. I only don't wear my binder when I'm recovering from a dislocated rib (happens often due to a condition not from an improperly sized binder). I hate when people turn around and say that if you have even some interest in female clothes or dressing as female characters you are faking being trans. Men crossplay and crossdress so why can't trans men do the same without being called fake.
