I have a few favorite places I look for cheap cosplay shoe bases. Quality depends on what you buy of course, and I gravitate toward cheap

eBay: apparelsave
you can get perfectly good shoes there for like 3 bucks plus postage. It's crazy. They'll be vinyl and whatnot but personally I never buy expensive cosplay shoes since I usually end up completely covering them or heavily modifying them anyway

Poshmark: the prices are all over the place but you can always submit your best offer. Their search feature sorta sucks. Flat $6 shipping rate and you can bundle from a seller for the same postage price. You definitely get a lot of people on there thinking their used shit is still worth a lot but there are also great deals to be had. You can also find higher quality shoes on here if that's what you're looking for.

AMI club wear: cheap quality for cheap prices. Lots of hooker-y shoes but they do have lots of boots with normal heels too. You can search by style and they always have great clearance. Their clothing is shit quality IMO but she shoes are perfectly sturdy.

Electric boutique: kind of like AMI but the deals aren't as great. They carry brands like Pleaser and whatnot

First of all, it's not lip gloss - it's lip stain. I have two and they are fine. My friend bought them first and recommended them to me.
They are fine and haven't "ruined" my lips but I don't really use them much anymore because I don't really like the matte look they give. I'd rather have lipgloss.

Surprisingly light! The fabric is apparently polyester according to the seller, and honestly it doesn't feel bad. Pretty good for summer imo. Unfortunately came with a weird smell which I blame the underskirt for.

Would definitely buy more from the original seller if I knew who it was. Fortunately it didn't get stinky with the underskirt, it didnt have strong chemical smells, either.

Sturdy, quality material. It looks unflattering when it's spread on the bed but it looks better when tried on. It reaches just under my knees (I'm 5.2" for reference). It's extremely heavy, however. I personally like that so it's perfect for me. Will definitely buy more in the future.

Great for what it is, I guess? It has a pocket on the back side.

The items came with a cute little bonus which are the ponytails on the pic. They were affected by the underskirt's stench, unfortunately.

All the pics are how they look directly from the bag for reference. I didn't take a worn pic of the strawberry dress because my lighting made it look unflattering as hell but rest assured it looks great in person.

I love this thing. It’s surprisingly versatile, too. The bow doesn’t come attached, so you can use it with or without it. Personally I prefer it with the bow on but having the option isn’t bad. The material is pretty good and sturdy, though the bow’s material surprised me. I’m pretty sure it can be modified by removing the pin and sewing the bow permanently if you just want to wear it like that.

The white is sheer (no surprise here) but the rest seems good enough. It’s probably the wrinkliest item I got so it’s very obvious that it’s going to be a pain to maintain if you don’t like ironing or want to send it to a laundry. The shape is sad and unflattering. I have both of them. I'm 5'6 and the one on the left is really short on me, I have to wear safety shorts with it. I still wear it all the time.
The crown one is beautiful and I also wear it a lot however the colours are a lot brighter than the stock photo.

Get real sailor uniforms, even though they're around US$100 per piece. I'm the nanchatte Anon who has actual JHS sailor uniforms for my own school. It cost me about US$350, and that's because the difference between costume sailor uniforms and the real thing is... pretty damn significant. There's NO comparison. Pretty much if it's a costume, with the price to match, it's going to be shit. Certainly not something that can be worn every day for three years.

For me it's the protection I receive as a buyer. If I don't receive an item I can contact the seller and if that doesn't work out then eBay has my back. I'm also just more familiar with eBay as a buyer and a seller so it's easier to navigate. A lot of Koreans and other nationalities sell on eBay and they tend to have better stuff than what's available on Ali. It's worth it for the Korean stationery alone. There's also a seller from Taiwan (kiwi something, funkykiwi iirc) who sells cute but cheap shoes that are generally better quality than anything I've bought from China.

Also I don't know if it's just my shit luck but sellers on Ali tend to delay orders, suddenly run out of things and then send you ten messages to ask you if you'd like another colour or size when you've already paid. On eBay that doesn't happen, I prefer just buying something and getting on with my life unless it's a custom order.

Thank you! The seller noted that even though they packaged it safely, customs may mess it up. Luckily everything was safe and sound.

And now to decide how to set him up. I either want him behind the sailor scouts like they're his minions as he hides in the shadows or up in the front like he's their leader. These are the only figures I have and I feel this is coming off as a bit cringy but I'm just super excited.
