Summer calls for underwater photoshoots. I figured this topic could be discussed enough that it warranted it's own thread instead of clustering the help general. Tips and tricks for both cosplayers and photographers?

Okay but why is Judar underwater? Is it just for fun or am I forgetting a specific Magi reference?
Photographer here. I tried underwater photography last summer for the first time with some really ghetto equipment and no assistants. It's hard if you're doing it alone with no-one holding you at the bottom while you're taking the picture, but it's fun nonetheless. I'll be doing it again this summer.
There's a lot of improvement still but practice maker perfect, I guess.
saw a photographer last year, maybe the year before, doing some underwater shots at the old AnimeNEXT in the pool with some cosplayers fromFree
I would guess on the cosplayer side you would want to secure the wig secured all around the hairline perhaps with sewn weft clips. I can't imagine trying to reattach a soaked wig is any fun
Good timing. I was just thinking about wanting to do an above water/underwater shoot for mermaid Nozomi? I don't know if anyone would be available here for the NY area ?
I heard you have to use double sided tape to tape bangs down once you go under water. Anyone know if there's certain medical tape to use or costuming tape? I feel like ordinary tape is going to shit out once it hits water.

I have no experience with underwater shoots but Assist Cosplay has wig tape and glue.

I use the glue and its strong enough to hurt like a bitch when I rip the bangs away from my face after a con day
Why's the face covered?

I've actually been wanting to do the same shoot. Though I'm in Socal. There's a photographer in my area that specializes in underwater shoots and used to buy cosplay wigs for them.
