This print isn't old school. It's from 2008. It's highly detailed and metallic. It's not old school. At all.

if you don't want to rework the coord too much, wine legwear would greatly improve what you have so far.

the reds in the print do look tricky, so I'm glad you have the actual matching head wear to help you out there. maybe you could focus on the greens in the print by way of a green cardi and green socks/tights. I really like those shoes but the print is so saturated that there is no depth to the berries, leaving no dark reds for the shoes to play off.

sorry there are a lot of ideas I'm throwing here but in short I'd either commit more to the wine, or use green as the major color in your coord, or take it gothic classic with much more black.

While I feel like you won't actually listen to this here's my two cents anyway.
The most awkward thing to me is using the wine red since it totally clashes with the bright red print. If you must use a bolero with this dress then ivory or black would be more suited. Besides the color, those shoes don't seem right for the style of the dress either, which is sweet classic. I would reserve using those shoes for more elegant and gothic coords. Instead a cuter style shoe in black may be good for this, or even something neutral like an oxford heel.
The offwhite and white(?) items you posted visibly clash as well, pick one of the shades and stick with it. Personally I don't really think you need the parasol with this, maybe use a bag instead.
Overall I think you just need to simplify your color schemes and be aware of your styling instead of being quick to add extras. Don't be afraid to ask for coord help before actually posting too.

The bag doesn't look lolita enough and the browns don't match the other browns in her coord. Perhaps she can get a chocolate bag or maybe even a gold bag for an interesting pop. Will second the legwear that >>9052889 suggested. I'd go with socks that are cream with a brown print. I also think that adding another small cream hair accessory would help break up the overwhelming amount of brown. She could also wear a lighter colored wig and that might help, too.
