Hey friends, I'm going to be going to this event for the first time. I've got a couple questions.

This girl is from my home area, she's a disaster. For Nashicon, a small South Carolina con held in early April, she wanted to be dead pool but refused to sew and also refused to buy her suit. She literally went out, got a red morph suit, and hot glued black fabric to it. She was super frustrated and sad when no one wanted photos of her, I can't blame them though. She looked like complete ass.
Anyway, almost done with my cosplay. All that's left for me is to finish up some pauldrons and then I'm set! This is my first AZ so I have no idea what to expect, but I'm really looking forward to the Berserk panel.

I have a friend that lives in Raleigh and lets me crash on his couch, so I am lucky to not have to worry about paying for a hotel room. I have never cosplayed before, though I have been attending Animazement since 2005 and the only year I have missed since then has been 2013.

I decided I am interested enough to actually get into cosplaying, mainly cause of a new found interest in leather working, so I am starting very small this year by doing the Gen 4 Pokemon Breeder and will work up from there.

What's Anime hell and is it worth going to?

Basically this. I have a costume that isn't even finished because it's missing the right shirt and some accessories but I'm still tempted to bring it because I won't be the worst one there as that character.

I'm finishing a backup headband for a cosplay in case my main one breaks again. First year I'm not making a new costume specifically for Animazement, but one of them has only been worn once so far so it's practically new. Gonna try all three cosplays on today to make sure there's no last minute problems.

Thanks anon. I've taken the Greyhound to Atlanta and back so three hours is nothing compared to that. As long as I'm not trapped with loud weebs I'll be fine since I doubt I'll be the only AZer on there.

I had to cancel my hotel reservations. Because I didn't realize their were hidden cost. So, I did the last minute thing and asked one of my friends to let me stay in his room. I'll be paying $90 instead of $475. Fucking Sheraton.
