So I paid for my badge, but I didn't get a confirmation email, and I was 99% sure that when I signed up there was a spot to "edit membership", but now the page is completely revamped so I can't get to it. But it says that I have duplicate information if I try to sign up.
I really need my badge number, so I have no idea what's going on.

Having hard debates whether to do Poliwag family gijinka or kaede from idolm@ster for Sunday. The gijinka I have designed would be super cute and simple to put together but there's going to be going to be an idolm@aster gathering on Sunday and those are a dime a dozen with all the other idol things that go on.

Ugh, just a week, ughhh. Kinda upset because I dropped two costumes even though they were 95% done. I'm on staff and just wouldn't have time to wear them around shifts and group cosplay stuff. I had no groups for them and it's not like I slaved over them for months, so it's not a huge loss, but I should've dropped them earlier before spending all that time on them.

Hoping to make detention slips or something to pass out to any HeroAca coplayers acting up while dressed as Aizawa. I'll be cosplaying him at the Shonen Jump panel(Saturday 3pm) and if you tell me you like World Trigger, I'll give you a mini bag of Bonchi. If you see a Coconuts on Sunday or Monday with a tote bag that says "Shikada" on it, talk to me and I'll give you some dagashi. …uh, supplies limited though.

quick question for those who know more about the prop policy.....thinking about wearing a costume with a large unrealistic grenade launcher style gun, which is big (~9 feet, but breaks into 2 pieces so it fits the "must go through a door easily" rule). the very end of it is made of a toilet plunger and there's no fucking way i'm painting it orange. can i get it peacebonded since it's unrealistic and made of wood/PVC pipe/a broom handle/hose nozzle?

because if getting it approved is too much of a pain in the ass i'll just wear a different costume.

I've done that for a 4-foot sniper rifle, I had a ring of masking tape to protect the paint and a layer of orange electrical tape on top of that. Removed it when I was doing a private photoshoot and then replaced it once I got back to the con center.

I looked at their site and saw the stuff about them cutting off second floor access. Are there any other security checkpoints throughout the con? Their reasoning is that they want to consolidate all the checkpoints into one checkpoint, which will either make this very difficult or very easy depending on how good their security at that one point is. Considering how shoddily Fanime is run, I'm guessing it will be the former and not the latter. I don't know if they have a new system in place, but least year it was literally just 2 guards per door. Hopefully there will be some unguarded entrances, but if all else fails I plan on bringing my old badge and trying to duck through when no one notices.

that's the question. they're probably going to have people at every entranceway so I'm thinking elevators, stairs, escalators, and the entry points from the hotels. that's actually a lot more manpower than they would have needed previously as opposed to just having people camp the doors to the exhibit hall/arcade/etc and the panel room doors. there's a lot of routes going upstairs.

I'm thinking that if they do have guards at every way in, it might be better to go through the most crowded entrance. Just find whichever has the most foot traffic and try to rush in. Unless the guard is a powertrippin' wannabe cop, they probably don't give enough of a fuck to check every single badge in the massive rush of sweaty weebs.
