Just received this in the mail. Any suggestions for coording it or worn pictures?
>>

This is so weird and kitschy, I love it and hate it at the same time.

Black and white cat print blouse with pale yellow cardi, white OTKs and black shoes?

Does anyone have recommendations for artists with otome appeal? Thinking of getting a Junichi Nakahara print or two for the house and finding a few Western or otherwise artists to go with it who don't aim for the forests and mushrooms aesthetic would be nice.
>>

Which is exactly why I'm asking for advice. Most of my closet is earth tones.

I got the apron jsk for this print too anon!
I love the print but the cutting is so weird.
It's too short and the straps are sewn down in a X shape down the back...

I would love for coord advice as well!
>>
>>8962174
Thank you! I like the idea of adding an underskirt.

>>8959097
A cat shirt is a great idea! Thank you.

>>8962235
I agree. The cut is weird and the quality isn't as good as the other ETC pieces I own. Disappointing considering the price I paid for the skirt but it was a dream dress purchase so. . .

What anon said plus a piece of statement jewelry. I'm partial to really long pendants these days, myself. Maybe ribbons or bows on your braids too.

Does anyone know what happens to JM's older stock? There was some stuff from the Fall/Winter 2015 season that I wish I bought. It's not on the online store anymore, but could they possibly have it still if I email them? Or maybe in store?
>>
>>8962235
Can I know the brand/ print please? I love this!
>>
>>8966897
There's a good chance it just sold out, otherwise it'd still be there or it would have gone on sale.
>>
>>8962235
I think it'd look really cute if you went all-in on a 50s theme to go with the apron style. Pale pink blouse, black and white saddle shoes, flippy ponytail with bow!
>>
>>8966897
It gets put on sale. If you wanted anything with a print (or anything other than super plain DLS) it's long gone
>>

Thanks guys. Non print, but I think some of the nicer non print that was put out last season. Guess I'll just wait for second hand then and probably save 20k too.

>>

What's your bust measurement?
>>
>>8967967
32 inches, thanks anon.
>>
>>8963088
The silhouette is giving me mori over otome. You may consider making the top and cardigan more fitted or tuck the shirt into the skirt. The legwear is a missed opportunity for something more interesting and the colors are all over the place since all of them are only used once. Of course, this isn't a super matchy fashion but nothing really ties the outfit together.
>>
>>8968007
I'm 33 inches. I don't own that particular JM OP, but I like how my other ones fit me. As >>8967066 mentioned they shouldn't be super fitted.
>>
>>8967060
The "waist ties" of this dress are connected to the front (you can see it in that image), but have another separate piece of material between them with buttons attached. So you can move the buttons and it will be tighter (ie there's like three straps joined together essentially)
>>
If I have a 98cm bust how screwed am I finding jsks or blouses? There's noticeably less options than in lolita

ETC nowadays just doesn't seem very popular. They probably make a lot of less of each design. So I guess that means less sales and selfie pictures too..
>>

I saw at least one girl wearing it on Instagram. It's kind of ugly, so I'm not surprised it hasn't really popped up anywhere.

Lolita has been such a huge part of my life! It's been over 6 years since I started in the fashion and my closet has almost 70 main pieces. I never would have thought I'd fall out of love. But I've been struggling with lolita for the past 2 years and over that time I've realized that the fashion is incredibly impractical and difficult to wear on a regular basis with my current lifestyle.

I've been filling my wardrobe with more otome pieces and I'm beginning to wonder if I should get rid of lolita entirely. Keeping up with social media like instagram and tumblr have become a chore and the less I update the more relieved I feel. I only wear it to attend meets now so the only thing I would miss would be my comm.

My boyfriend suggested I put up a spreadsheet with my dresses, their current market value, and how many times I've worn the pieces. It really depresses me how much money I've spent on things I barely touch.... wardrobe is almost at $60k if everything sold. I have a few HG pieces like Elizabeth Bride of Death, Gloria, CTP, Honey Cake, etc. that I've been holding on to because it took months of searching and bidding until they came to me.

I know this is a topic that's always being brought up but any input or advice from other lolitas going through the same thing would be helpful. Did you regret selling your lolita wardrobe in lieu of something else? Is it worth holding onto certain pieces as collector items?

Seeing girls like >>8967093 brings me the same joy that old school did when I first started.
>>
>>8976727
Misfire?
>>
>>8976727
I'm an anon who has always leaned towards otome since the beginning, but did also have a very large lolita collection earlier on. I have since sold off most of my lolita wardrobe except for a few pieces that are special to me.

I'm pleased I did do it. It was like taking a weight off my shoulders. I'm not someone that enjoys accumulating things if I'm not really using them. It became more of a collecting hobby to me, and I was buying things I would probably never wear or didn't suit me just because they were pretty or a sought after item.

It got easier as I continued to sell it off and is actually very freeing to no longer have that unnecessary attachment to things just taking up space in my wardrobe.

Otome tickles the right spot for me. I've alway preferred it personally. If it's exciting you, then dive in and consider if you need to adjust your wardrobe altogether. You can still have it all, of course, but if it's becoming a source of anxiety for you, then try letting go and see how you feel.
>>
>>8976727
I went through this once upon a time. My advice would be to hold on to one or two pieces with memories attached as well as a blouse or two, then sell the rest.

I've never regretted selling. I get nostalgic, but Lolita made me feel awkward in public, like I was dressing up. Otome feels more like my "true self", which in turn makes my coords look more natural. I also feel less scared of ageing in otome, and I like fitting into the scenery better. Whenever I wore lolita to tea or museums or similar, I always felt like I was screwing with other peoples' days out.
>>
>>8972956
Pretty screwed... maybe try a sports bra? Even at 94cm I have a hard time with brand otome. FYI, Axes Femme have an "L" size blouse which should help.
>>
>>8976716
You do know that ETC's lead designer made her own brand, Leur Getter? That's why ETC only puts out re-releases these days.
>>
>>8976666
Wow really? Isn't LG much more expensive though? Even second hand their stuff can cost a pretty penny.
>>
>>8976727
If you don't wear it, there's no point keeping all of that (when someone else might wear it a lot once you sell it). If you get sad, try to wear it and take a photo before selling. Sometimes I remember the dresses I sold, but most of the time I don't give a thought to them now.
>>
>>8976960
I never knew there was a link, no wonder Leur Getter's stuff is so beautiful.
>>
>>8976666
what is the grapevine?
>>
DOes anyone know where to find stock pictures of JM of things that have been removed from the webshop and are not on lolibrary?
>>
>>8976996
waybackmachine is the only luck i've had
>>
>>8976959
What do you do to supplement your wardrobe then, because I'm not really set on being strictly brand otome?
>>
>>8977041
IW L size blouses, Axes Femme L, the more casual JM cuts (jersey and knit materials), random blouses from local stores with vintage aesthetics (those same shops will have skirts and dresses that can fit). Coordinate with brand accessories and bags.
>>
>>8977041
Another anon, but Cath Kidston and other British tea dress brands as well as turtlenecks layered with cardigans in place of blouses.
>>
>>8976954

Me too. I'm way more comfortable in it, and at my current age (over 30) I can continue wearing otome without looking progressively more ridiculous. Another thing to maybe consider is that the value of the pieces is likely to go down. With a collection that large and with that current value, it's a real consideration. I was into a different expensive hobby 10+ years ago and didn't sell out when I quit. I'm cleaning out my junk and selling now. Trends have changed and my collection is worth about $2000 less than it was when I quit. For me that's not a big deal, but if it were really big money I'd definitely regret not selling earlier since it wasn't as if I was gaining anything by having this stuff in my storage closet. A $60k lolita collection today could very easily be worth a tiny fraction of that amount years from now when either the lolita trend in general has really died down or there's simply a lot less demand for prints that used to be very popular.

>>
>>8977368
How do people miss the mark with otome so badly? I mean, the style doesn't have a specific anatomy like you can point to with a lolita coord, but surely everyone has seen enough old shoujo manga or vintage girls' dresses by now to have a starter idea to build off of.
>>
Thanks to the OPs who keep including my list in these threads. I've got a new version here so we can all stay up to date.
It's not too different from the old one - I've added some blogs and brands, as well as mentioned the Factory X replicas because I think that's important.
It's also dated so we don't get confused.

When I have the free time I want to add a list of otome-kei Instagrams.

Posted this in a previous thread but didn't get any helpful answers. What sort of petticoat would be good for otome? I'm looking for something comfortable that can we worn quite casually. I know I need an A-line shape but a specific brand/model would be helpful.
>>
>>8978476
It depends upon your main piece. Not all otome pieces are the same length and they all take varying amounts of poof.

>Average otome pieces
Classical Puppets Otome A-Line Petticoat. It's a basic A-line but it's obviously less poofy than a normal lolita one.

>For long pieces (mainly by Jane Marple)
Malco Modes Cosette 8080. This may be too poofy for some, but the length is nice.

>For mini-skirts and low poof pieces
Cheap mini petticoats by Bodyline and Leg Avenue. These are sometimes too short and have a habit of riding up.

>Other options
Basically any offbrand or deflated petticoat you stumble upon. There's no rules about what you can and can't use so don't let yourself be limited by a brand or by a label.

From experience your more cutesy pieces by ETC and Leur Getter take more poof than something like JM. .

I'm in the same situation you're in and I want to get rid of my lolita wardrobe too. I'm 25 and I've been wearing lolita since I was 18. No way is my age considered old but my likes and interests have changed since I first started. The pink cupcakey lolita I loved no longer appeals to me (don't get me wrong I LOVE seeing it on other girls!!)

I keep telling myself I need to sell dresses I haven't worn in 3+ years. I hope once I take the plunge I'll be like >>8976917 but it's scary to get rid of something that's been so near and dear to you for so long.
>>
I love lolita right now, but don't have too many pieces and now that i've seen otome im having second guesses about myself.

Im entering my mid 20's and starting to wonder how well I can continue to incorporate lolita into my daily life, and otome looks like it could fit into that gap better.

But on the other hand otome feels a little too casual to me, is there a balance? Can I be elegant and "mature" while wearing otome?

With lolita I try to stick to classic lolita with floral prints or solids to maintain a more mature and professional look. Think vintage school house teacher.
>>
>>8979094
You could always just wear both and invest in basics that can cross over. Most people do that, I think.

Otome can look mature and elegant. You normally see people wearing the more OTT side of otome here with lots of LG/ETC/flashier JM, but JM DLS is simpler and aimed at a more mature audience. You should look at the brand Lois Crayon for pieces to mix and match with too.
>>
>>8979094
you can wear the same pieces for both. a lot of people even think of lolita and otome as the same style.
>>
>>8978476
My short petticoat from JM is two layers of gathered tulle and a lining if it helps. Not a lot of poof.
>>
Bump for requesting people's fave prints out of curiosity. I personally love Jam Jars. What about you?

This thread can be so quiet sometimes.
I guess because otome enthusiasts tend to be older and probably spend less time on the webs?
>>
>>8991303
Admittedly I'm newer to otome but I figured it was simply because there's less to talk about. There isn't as much brand focus as in lolita (or as many brands) so there isn't that to discuss. There aren't otome meetups (that I'm aware of), otome cons, or active online groups either so not much on that avenue either.

As a result you're left with maybe an occasional discussion on a release, questions about fit, and some photo dumping which does not a fast thread make.
>>
>>8991303
Spring is the less popular season for otome. When Jane Marple announces their autumn/winter collection we all crawl out of our holes though.
>>
>>8991303
I come by to check the otome threads regularly but as someone said there isn't much to talk about. We should consider introducing a topic to discuss or a general survey question to get the ball rolling each thread perhaps?

Here I'll start: what got you interested in otome kei and explain your history in the fashion thus far?
>>
>>8991303
Could you guys maybe consider talking about new releases and post pictures of that? Look at how much Lolita General gets dominated by the newest AP release.

I have a hard time keeping up with Jane Marple, Milk, ETC, Leur Getter because some of those are not on Lolita Updates, but things like Axes Femme surprisingly show up there. This thread is surprisingly indie dominated with things like Peppermint Fox, but when there's lulls with those brands, these threads get quieter.

I think there's few enough Otome brands where I think we can do Otome updates.
>>
>>8991303
Well, it's not like the thread starts as much drama...

As a poor college student with beautiful Jane Marple-tinged dreams, I ask a dumb question: Is the price worth it in your opinion? I've seen a lot of mixed answers saying that the quality of the fabrics and tailoring has gone downhill in the last few years. Anyone have old and new releases they can compare?

If you're worried about it, you can always start off with second hand. You can usually get some great deals if you don't have your sights set on a collared OP or jsk with the most popular print of that year. Watch for sizing though, cause the fit model has definitely been getting bigger over the years.
>>
>>8991902
I'm interested in regular otome brand updates!
If I really like a piece, I have no problems buying JM new. I don't get what other gulls are complaining about, I have a few older pieces and some newer ones and the quality has always been there for me. Although their A/W collections are usually more my taste.

Fuuck, that's cute.

What do you think of LG's new sub brand Sherry Baby? I don't know if it's been discussed before, but they seem to be more casual and less "grown up". Pic related.

When did this happen? Do you know the exact release date? I keep missing out on Leur Getter too. I guess their Facebook isn't very up to date? If you can post a Twitter or something, we can try and watch that.

I think LG is definitely an otome brand we need to do otome updates with since it's had some bloodbaths already. I don't think they do rereleases either, at least so far as I've seen.

I really like it so far. I mean we've only seen a few dress so far but still. I just really wish they put at least some effort into lining up the print on the jsk though. The jsk's cut is cuter than the op's imo but the obvious seam mismatch means I probably won't be buying it unless I can get it for cheap secondhand.
>>
What do gulls think of the quality of Leur Getter? I bought 1 of their JSKs new and was really disappointed. I think because I expected the quality to be just as good as ETC. And in pictures I sometimes think their stuff looks cheap considering the price tag, but I love their prints so I really want to know what others think who have actually bought from them (not secondhand because don't know what happened to it that may have had an influence on the quality).
>>
>>8993268
Going through the Japanese auctions, you weren't kidding about how cheap it is. These are like second hand lolita prices which I can do. Thanks for the tips!
>>
>>8993149
I don't think the quality is going down at all if I compare my new stuff and old stuff. But it's hard to say because I only have 4 of their dresses. I do think the price of their basics and cutsews is high considering they look the same every year. But for example my Precious Cards JSK is better quality than my Stained Glass JSK and I don't think it's because of age.
>>
>>8993149
No, as clothing it's very overpriced for the quality and (complete lack of) complexity. It's very, very simple clothing from a tailoring and construction perspective. But you're paying for the fabric design and the brand label. I buy all my JM on the secondhand market because the prices are unjustifiably high and the cuts are kind of awkwardly big, but it's a personal preference.
>>
>>8993473
I bought a piece in store and it doesn't seem bad? It didn't feel like it was worth the almost $300 pricetag but it was soft and the fit was nice.

Which piece did you get anon?

>>8993149
Quality has not gone down, and I have pieces from 2011. I think most anons who purchase JM feel underwhelmed by the price tag as they have gone up over the years and/or they are comparing the spring catalog (lightweight fabric, perfect for summer and layering) vs winter catalog (heavier fabric choices, more structure). Purchase secondhand as it's rare for JM to hold their value.

>>8993296
I'll keep posting then!
>>
>>8993750
I have pieces going back to the 90s and they kind of have. Not everything, but some of the newer pieces lack the, I guess you could say, substantialness they used to consistently have, and I'm taking into account SS vs AW. A big part of it is fabric choice and a change in tailoring. Like I said, not everything, but when you do come across a slightly off piece it's surprising.
>>
>>8993750
>>8993856
Fairytale book is one of my favorite dresses, but the fabric is pretty thin especially for a A/W piece. I don't own much JM to compare so I don't know if that was the norm or not.
>>
>>8994007
I was disappointed to find out that Fairy Tale Book was not actually on tapestry/gobelin print
>>
>>8993338
I'm kinda sad I missed this too, it's really pretty.
>>
>>8994007
>>8994495
As with most jm releases, there were two types of fabric. The OP and square neck jsk used that thin fabric but the dirndl style vest jsk and maybe a skirt used gobelin.
>>
Requesting photos of white or beige JSKs pared in summer coords. I feel like I only see coords with dark print main pieces and I need some inspiration.
>>
>>8993149
>>8993750
I feel like some of the latest A/W pieces haven't been quite the same. I felt the fabric in store and they were much thinner and lighter weight than other pieces I own. I still think they are made beautifully and are of high quality but the fabric choice seemed Summer weight which isn't right for the season or the prints.
>>
>>8994912
Not all of JMs A/W is made with thicker fabric. Their a/w line uses darker richer colors and fabrics can range from cotton to wool.
>>
>>8994787
But what's weird is that the OP and JSK with the thin fabric were the more expensive cuts.

Sorry if it sounds really complain-y.
I love JM - thin fabric or not.

I just ordered my second dress from them and I'm so excited to receive it in the mail!
>>
Is there anyone here that has experience ordering straight from ETC's website to the US that would be able to tell me about how much they paid for shipping? Their website doesn't seem to offer a shipping estimate, unless I'm just missing it.
>>
>>8995349

most anons have no idea with fabrics

the light/thinner fabric is more expensive, it's cupra lined with silk, and the accents are stamped metallic so it's shiny and sparkling

the drindl version is polyester. it's not gobelin, it's the same fabric as british library

I've been buying from JM for years, and they've always had a range of fabrics for A/W. Snowflake rabbit one, the skirt/gathered jsk was in crepe de chine. Marchen forest is a super lightweight liberty cotton. Not everything needs to be heavy to be of quality
>>
>>8995803
Not that anon, but fabric choice aside, their construction is sometimes not the best, imo. JM's cutsew dresses have not held up nearly as well as other brands, VM's Beth line, for example. I've owned a skirt, a few jsks, and an op from JM as well as JM sweaters and tops. I love JM but I can see a very slow but steady trend in their business practice and quality toward the more mainstream/higher profit&worse quality. I think theyll hold out for a while, and I don't think they'll go as far as lolita brands like AP, but I think they will transition slightly. I think it's really apparent if you compare JM with brands like FrancheLippe; in my opinion the latter usually feels more luxurious in hand and is better quality for the cost.
>>
>>8995392
Not to the US, but I just use tenso with their webshop. They have a lot of shipping options and you can mark the value down (although that's probably irrelevant for the US)
>>
>>8995803
Snowflake Rabbit and Marchen Forest are both examples from before the quality dropoff though? I have one of the Opal skirts and the burnout velvet has a much more rough and lower quality feel compared to similar older pieces.

Could I get some feedback on a simple coord?
Disclaimer: the top and skirt are closer in colour irl then they are on the image. I'm really stumped on the accessories though.
>>
>>8996242
Accessories are always the tricky part. You could layer the top with a short sleeved white blouse underneath (an eyelet design would suit it well, or the right kind of toile-style pattern), add a brooch to the coat to give it some color, add socks with a subtle polka dot to print mix with the plaid. Bow clips on the shoes maybe. Also a necklace of some kind to fill in the space. Coral makeup and nails. I also want to say a structured ladylike purse to go with the retro feel you're working, or something with a novelty shape.
>>
>>8996281
Can't really do a lot of layering cause the top is quite thin and close fitting, but the jewellery + coral are great ideas, thanks gull!
>>
>>8995814

I don't buy their cutsew dresses. The knit sets are more value for money eg anniversary cake. Also I've realized that getting main pieces from them is pointless because you can always get them from 2nd hand sites anyway, the only things that don't come up 2nd hand are cardigans, scarves, hats and bags.

>>8995893

I have the Alice Opal too. I think they switched from velveteen to velvet, which is less plush. The older version of it (2007, alice in shadow) is nicer but the colours are terrible.

Of the newer series, I have Fairytale Book and the quality is nice.

The thing that has noticeable drop in quality in socks/tights.
>>
Not sure if I should ask that here or in lolita gen but what is the point of axes femme customers ranking? Like, pink rose, white rose, red rose, etc ? Does it give you advantages?
>>
>>8993473
I would like to know more about this too, I've never bought from them because it looks cheaper than it is.
>>
>>8993473
>>8997438
I'd say the quality is on par with ETC in my experience, though I suppose it depends on the item.

What did you get and how were you disappointed anon?
>>
>>8997438
>>8997652
>>8993473

think it varies. The strawberry stripe is beautifully crisp print and silky, the teacup series is a lot coarser. I wouldn't buy them brand new anymore because the quality doesn't seem value for money, otherwise they have good casual dresses
>>

It really varies, I've bought one of their earlier dresses (Airmail Print Tuck Frill, on sale) where the material was so thin I had to sell it. The other dresses I own from their later designs are relatively like ETC standard. Probably except for Crown Stripe Camisole, which was a weird wrinkly material.

Just slide your arms out of the straps, pull the bodice down to your waist, tuck in the straps and fold the bodice down and inward a little bit.

I'm not sure if you saw the plus size in lolita/otome thread, but I responded to another anon between 98-101cm bust about how I fit into otome.

I'm "plus size" only in the bust (99-100cm) and otome is the main style I wear. I only buy ETC and Leur Getter with fully shirred backs. I get the majority of my blouses, boleros, and cardigans from thrift stores, high streets stores, and Taobao/Aliexpress. I have a couple ETC cardigans that are accommodating without looking like I stuffed myself into them.
The ETC/Leur Getter pieces are very comfortable. I wear a small minimizer just to look somewhat more in proportion with the rest of my body. It will never truly happen unless I lose more weight or get a reduction. I lose weight everywhere but the boobs it seems.

I will post more pics of myself in the fully back shirred pieces and let you know which are with vs. without a minimizer. In the pics w/o one, pls no bully. I never truly realized how out of proportion I was until I saw pictures of myself.

I forgot to mention that for more mature otome like Jane Marple's A/W collection, I scour Aliexpress and the high street for things that give me that vibe. I look for tartan print wool skirts and dresses, berets, pussybow blouses, cardigans with preppy prints or embroidery, etc. I coord it with crown and book themed accessories to get the same vibe. I've heard JM is cut larger than other brands? I've never tried it so I can't say if it'd fit or not.

Dunno, it seems pretty random to me. But from my observation they tend to re-release more of their spring and summer prints, like roses and fruits and their alphabet series. Autumn and winter get less re-releases. Also, maybe we just don't know about them since lolibrary has hardly any older JM stuff listed. I'm pretty sure there are a couple of re-releases each year we don't even know about.

Ppfffffffff, I'm 104cm / J cup. If I can do otome so can you. My main trick is fully back-shirred jsks, binders, lower waistlines and clearly placed semi-open cardigans to cut the boobloaf. No, you won't be always able to wear everything, but you can do it.

Wouldn't surprise me, they have a history of stealing small western indie brand designs.

And iirc they did a knockoff of ETC's ballerina print a couple of years ago. So I would say even the asian market isn't say from that shitty company.
>>
>>9031363
I think maybe this is a case of same fabric different designer... the leur getter print doesn't have their name in it so I'm not sure if it was exclusively produced for them. Some fabric companies will do an exclusive colorway for a client as well but the print is still available to other companies.

Do Modcloth actually make their own stuff? I was under the impression they were a reseller but with the serial numbers filed off, so it wouldn't be surprising if they picked up prints without knowing where they originally came from.
>>
>>9031396
they do both
>>
>>9031346
>>9031376
Modcloth is just a reseller
>>
>>9030945
They don't really re-release do they? There's a lot of similar themes especially in spring/summer (florals and fruit, how groundbreaking) but it's usually not exact is it?
>>
>>9031449
Fairy tale opal, the tea cup lace print and musical instruments are all re-releases.
>>
>>9031449
They re-release a lot of prints in different styles,. I think this season it's the fairy tale print?
>>
>>9031392
Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive due to finding the swan jsk on aliexpress and dangerfield copying the bread dress. New print out in a day or two btw. Fuck my poverty as I want it hard!
>>

Wow! The difference is amazing. What minimizer are you using?

Jane Marple's tartan dress from last year. You'll have to check second hand markets for it now.

How would you coordinate this? It's more khaki/antique in person and doesn't pair well with an ivory blouse. I've worn it a couple times with a navy cardigan and it looks okay, but a little meh. I'm hoping for a cuter/more inspired coord for warmer weather.
>>
>>9039412
What about sax blue or pink with tan coloured shoes?
>>
>>9039412

Why not wear it blouseless like OP pic?
>>
>>9039412
Would mustard yellow work?
>>
>>9039412
navy or mustard, maybe some grayish blue

I honestly don't think that it'd work with summer colours.
>>
>>9039412
Periwinkle or baby blue in something like a chiffon weight for a blouse, though I don't think it would work as a cardi.

Does anyone have bigger pictures of this dress? I'd really like to see the details on the print but can only find tiny pictures official pictures of it.
>>
>>9040136
oops *tiny official pictures of it
>>9039412
I think trying to match the mustard in this print would really make it pop.

Just my 2 cents: fabric looks pretty bad for me, it seems thin and wrinkle easily, the kind that would look sloppy on anyone who's not a stick figure, or the pretty leur getter staff and models their dresses
>>
>>9040156
So many typos sorry. Found a pic of the staff I was talking about. I doubt anyone with any more weight/bust/larger calves would look as good in this particular design.

I had no idea Jane Marple made swimsuits at all but pic related is on yahoo auctions right now. I know it wouldn't fit me but it's the cutest thing ever (and somewhat rare I suppose??) so I thought maybe someone in this thread might want it.

It looks fairly old-schoolish.
Some lolita brands used to make swimsuits too, but they all stopped in the mid 2000s afaik. I wouldn't buy one second hand though (for hygienic reasons mostly).
>>
Sorry if this is a really newbie/stupid question, but how hard is it to come by one of the Jane Marple longsleeve tartan OPs second hand? I've been watching otome and lolita sales groups and pages for quite a while, and even yahoo auctions, but I've never seen them come up.
Do they generally resurface at all? Would I be better off waiting for the A/W collection and hoping I can get a similar style from them new?
>>
>>9048282
They come up on YJ occasionally. There are probably not that many floating around the western community.
>>
>>8959043
Dumping some summer coords. I'm pretty low on them so feel free to jump in. Coords that manage to look as obviously otome as usual while staying 95+ weather friendly would also be very much appreciated.
