Nah, the dress is pretty botched. Looks like the bodice is too long on the left, the skirt is too short, uneven, and one side seems longer than the other, and it's all puffy and weird because none of the seams are pressed. That, and the seam down the front of the skirt.

Like I get that this is probably her first jsk and she's probably self-taught from internet tutorials, which is pretty impressive. But I also think it's important not to sugarcoat how bad this looks just because the person who made it is self-taught or whatever. Much better to tell them the truth and then give them pointers on how to get better.

I think it depends on what style you're wearing. Obviously for something OTT classic like this, with that rococo/elegant look to it, it would be better to go with elegant heels. But with some OTT sweet kinda stuff (thinking about 2010 AP full set pastel vomit with the decora'd to hell and back wigs) tea parties would be stylistically appropriate.
