Anyone have experience fixing pic related?

I've worn an insanely curly/long Arda wig twice, both for short amounts of time, used the net and box it came in for storage since I move for school so often, and it has developed quite the frizz problem.

Any amazon links for favourite wig brushes and tips for conditioning sprays?
>>
>>8925816
the frizz is created by the wig hair rubbing on your skin/cklothes where it hang on your back.

pretreating with motions is great for straight wigs and prevents the frizzing from getting really bad.....i find that liberally spraying the underside of the wig with hairspray before wearing also helps some.

Is there a wig buying list or anything of the sort? I'm looking to get a wig for Rei Hino wig, but i was wondering what was the place that has the best long wigs.

I'm know i'm not doing Arda since even the medium length ones tangle like a bitch in an instant.
>>
>>8926160
If you don't like wigs that tangle easily, is recommend epic cosplay. I like that their wigs are easier to comb through, but they are a little bit shiny.
>>
>>8926172
Thank you, anon. If i get one from there and it turns out to be too shiny i think i could try out the fabric softener trick.

Thank you again!

Anyone here wear wigs daily or just sometimes casually for fashion purposes? What are people's reactions? Why did you start?

Can anyone recommend some good taobao brands for lolita wigs? Something along the lines of Dreamholic.

If you want something like Dreamholic, buy from them?

I just meant if there were any other specific taobao brands that catered to lolita.

This wig from bodyline is a damn nightmare. It's covered in crunchy gel-like shit and when you try to wash it the gel comes off in sticky chunks which you then have to pick at (which leaves the ends frizzy and you have to cut them).. I've washed it like 3 times and it's still crunchy and I haven't gotten all of the sticky bits off yet. I should have just known bodyline would have ended badly.
>>
>>8926228
I wear wigs daily. I have alopecia so I started wearing them when my hair got thinned out to a certain point. I have about 50 wigs. I used to be really embarrassed to wear them, in fact for the first 6 months after I started I pretended my wig was my real hair to my friends and family that didn't know, until one day I got a new wig and just said "fuck it" and when they asked "oh what'd you do to your hair?" I said "oh this is a wig!' and from then on I didn't care anymore.

Most people don't seem to realize they're wigs, if they mention my hair at all. Probably because most people don't think about other people wearing wigs unless they're super crazy party wigs. I've had maybe 2 people ask "is that your real hair?" if I wear a wig with super bright colors or multiple colors. More often people just say "I love your hair!" or ask if I dyed it myself.

no. their short and medium wigs are great, but my girlfriend actually has the kirigiri wig you posted, which i have also worn when i borrowed her cosplay one time, and it is HELL. that thing is a monster. it looks really nice but it tangles so bad, it's ridiculous.

the other long wig i have from them too is one of those long curly "lolita" wigs they have, and it was really nice the first like two times i wore it and now it's just a tangled mess.

the 'things that need to die' wig wasn't a gradient one, it was one of those cotton candy blended wigs with the two clips. for the specific thing you're talking about it was more that color specifically as well as the style of wig. you seem like you're trying so hard to be a cool oldfag or something.

trying to find a wig for Hanayo, but I'm not sure which wig to go for and what color I should do. I usually buy from Arda, but I was told they don't have any good wigs for Hanayo and I haven't really shopped anywhere else for wigs either.
>>
>>8926595
I'm not sure, but I think it's safest to just find out where they get their stock from (most eBay shops are resellers) and look at reviews for those. I know I really liked the L-email wig I got from an eBay reseller, great bargain and no crappy cheap shine to it. Here is one seller: http://stores.ebay.com/maojun2012/Lemail-Top-Quality-Wigs-Store.html
>>
>>8926542
Wow that shine. The wig I want from Epic Cosplay is cheaper than the equivalent I want from Arda after accounting for shipping, anyway. I do hope Arda does fix that, though- it's cool they just announced they're doing the Silky line. I'm kinda hoping they sell the older fibers at a discount then once they release the new ones.

I need this wig in my life.
>>
>>8926240
Weird because this is my favorite wig and I don't have those problems. I wear it out 80% of the time. I did baby powder mine and brush it out though.
>>
>>8926228
I have a small "fashion" wig collection. I have two Arda wigs, two Gothic Lolita Wigs wigs, an L-email wig, and a Map of Beauty wig (though their quality has gone to shit now) for casual wear. And maybe 6-10 more all from wig stores that I plan to use once I get them out of storage, which I'll explain in a bit.

I bought my first GLW wig in my high school's color for my friend's graduation. I got it for cheap secondhand but damn if it wasn't cute. I was too shy to wear wigs outside of being silly at the time, though. Then, my mom got into wigs + dumped them all on me when she discovered extensions (these are the ones currently in storage). I bought more myself in unnatural colors when I went through a "camgirl to fund muh college" phase. Then I started just wearing them when I went out and felt like dressing up.

Only recently I decided I wanted a collection à la Alexa Poletti. Most of the ones I bought myself so far are unnatural colors/unrealistic lengths, so I get stares and some compliments. My Godiva wig in brown always gets me tonnns of compliments. People even a little in the know recognize that it's a wig because it's so long, but I don't wear wigs to blend in/sport normie styles. Still, the majority won't recognize you're wearing a wig unless it's super shitty quality. I really enjoy dressing up from head to toe so wigs are fun for me.

Airbrushing will work if you want it to be as subtle and all-over as that reference image. Createx acrylics stick to fiber well and don't add too much texture, it'll just feel like it's been misted with hairspray. Make sure you get the opaque and not translucent ones if you want coverage over black.

I don't know much about styling wigs or hair so this might be a stupid question. The bangs on a lockshop wig aare shaped really annoying and unnatural. I really want to straighten them. I tried with a hair straightener but it didn't work and I don't want to try it longer in case I might damage the bangs. What's a good way to straighten just the bangs on a wig?

>>
>>8928950
Looks shiny honestly. I don't trust reviewers on eBay/Amazon (unless they have unfiltered pics in good lighting for the latter) because a lot of times it's people with no idea of wig quality who give no shits about shininess or thickness, they're just glad the wig is the same color as the stock pic. Typically if it looks a little cheap in stock photos it's not good irl. But if you like the color, it's cheap here if you bid http://m.ebay.com/itm/Short-Pink-Mix-Blue-Multi-colors-Straight-Full-Wig-Hair-Cosplay-Fancy-Dress-/361515663386?_trkparms=aid%253D222007%2526algo%253DSIC.MBE%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D20150519202348%2526meid%253D72ec5114cbeb45b980d2c7f2c2261555%2526pid%253D100408%2526rk%253D2%2526rkt%253D11%2526sd%253D361455413990&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460
I'd risk it out of curiosity esp if you like it a lot. And you can write a review. The wig is not my taste but it looks like it'd be cute in the more colorful jfash styles.

i find a lot of cool multitone long wigs, but it is difficult to find them in short styles. i am looking for something for a shironuri/ouji masquerade coord, and i would love to find a short ombre or multitone wig with a gentle or subtle gradient, not a high contrast anime style one.

pic related is from Dreamholic and is one of the best i can find, but i was hoping for more fantasy colors, like they have for many of their longer wigs. i do not want to spend the money on a longer wig just to cut it down, that would be a waste, and long wigs don't always have the right wefting to be redone too short.

any recommendations?
>>
>>8929426
i have considered hand-dying a single color wig but i worry about the dye bleeding onto my brand. i am also considering using extensions to get an effect like pic related, but would love to be able to just buy a gradient/multi-tone short wig.

what could I use for his hair? I thought Arda's Marty might work but the hairline is different and I don't really know if it can be tweezed that far back.

You'd need to modify a lacefront wig to do a receding hairline

Yeah but would a lacefront wig work for something that far back or would I need to get full lace?

Combine it with ventilating lace into the front and pushing the wig back a little. In that case, though, you probably shouldn't get an Arda unless you wanna take the cap in. Look into wigisfasion or color.salon (on ebay).

How good exactly are L-email wigs? I'm already doing a taobao order so I might as well order from a taobao seller, but I'm paranoid about buying something that's just going to get frizzy/destroyed after one wear.

I'm not finding any good short curly wigs to use for an idw Stormer cosplay, all I find are ones with the curls only low on the wig. I planned on dying strips black or adding welfs to it for volume, but I'm not sure on where to find a good base wig I like.

I do~ I wear them in between hair appointments or when I have to wait to get my hair dyed.

Started back in highschool since my mom started to wear them (she was losing hair due to high stress since we lost a lot of close family in a year) and she'd allow me to borrow one or two every now and then. Now every now and then if were getting along we swap places to shop for wigs.

Most people find it kinda neat honestly? and I never got shit in school for it (cept once but that kid was a douche, and he eventually got kicked out lol ) I even wore 'fun' colours since weeb phase. Close classmates and shit used to try to guess what wig I'd wear the next week which was amusing.

What do you guys think of this wig for a beginner, do you guys have any sites recommendations
>>
>>8934176

Is it for cosplay, lolita or casual? a lot of places use those stock photos so be careful where you order drom, as you may not get the product shown in the pic!!

If you can order through taobao, Lucaille is an excellent shop, and there's a few lists of excellent taobao wig shops if you google-fu

english sites i would reccomend are Matchwigs (free shipping and naisu wigs), Ghostcos wigs (you can find them on yesstyle.com, kinda pricey tho, also where your that stock photo is from) and a lot of people like Arda but i think they're overpiced ~
>>
How about Wiwigs? Their prices are affordable and they seem like a reputable brand so I wonder why they're barely mentioned. They are based in the UK.
>>
>>8934269
Samefagging, I haven't bought anything from wiwigs yet and looked for some video reviews but I only found one youtube video. Amy Britfags here who bought a wig from them?
>>
>>8934176
You wanna be careful, shitlords of shops use those images with that model. I can say though that I bought two wigs (one brown, one black) from the real seller through yoybuy (they're called "ghost cos wigs") and they're good, not overly shiny and they feel like real hair. They're really fucking small though, my head size is 22cm (higher end of average) and the cap can't adjust that far so check your head can fit into cheaper chinese wigs before you try getting bargains.
>>
>>8934186
Lucaille also has their own website. It's shit to navigate through but beats going through an SS if you've never used one before.

Lucaille has really nice wigs, they have a good balance between not tangling and not being overly shiny. I love their fashion wigs quite a bit, actually.

Anyone know of a good place to get a decent long, thick wig - preferably wavy - in red/ginger? Cosplaying as Ivy in the summer and looking for a decent wig that's more ginger or auburn than the bright red style that a lot of cosplayers wear.

Most of the ginger ones I'm finding seem to be very straight.

>I don't want to pay >$80

You wouldn't, unless you're buying their only wig that's that price. It's a long curly lacefront so the price is understandable. Most of their wigs are $30-$50.

The long ones mainly have that problem, but it's the consequence of having fibers with a nearly realistic texture. The Silky wigs are less prone to tangling because they lack that texture.

Either way, conditioning the wig helps a lot.

>>
>>8926815
>just announced they're doing the Silky line
Nope, they've been selling those for like a year now.

>sell the older fibers at a discount then once they release the new ones

Uh uh, the Silky wigs aren't replacements. They're just another option. The classic wigs have higher heat resistance and can be styled more dramatically, so they're not going anywhere.
>>
>>8938920
In my post I actually meant to put redoing the Silky line. The anon I was responding to said that Arda is changing it, which I found to be true here:

https://arda-wigs.com/wheres-silky/
To sum it up: "...we hope to be having news of improved Silky within a few weeks!"
>>
>>8926811
Can someone please answer this? Any help is appreciated
>>
>>8938896
Okay, my bad, it's not quite that high - $40 wig + $14 shipping, after converting to CAD it's $70. For one wig though? I was kind of hesitant about the Silky, but I definitely don't want the regular fibers for that price.

Trying to find a wig for Ferid (not interested in buying from Arda because my head is small and I don’t like how messy they get) and I’ve narrowed down to these two unless you guys have any other suggestions or tips.

Epiccosplay’s Phoebe seems to be a good match with some trimming, but it doesn’t come in silver grey and I’m leery about dying it and worried about it covering my hairline. https://www.epiccosplay.com/classic-white-ponytail-cosplay-wig.html

Alternatively, the one I found on Etsy is the right color, but it has a low ponytail, which would hide my hairline better perhaps? (I don’t think the fibres are sewn in a way that it could be positioned higher.) The seller has good reviews but I’ve never bought from them before. https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/254617530/owari-no-seraph-ferid-bathory-silver?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=seraph%20of%20end&ref=sr_gallery_27

I'm about to buy pic related from Matchwigs, but I'm a little concerned about the size. I have a lot of thick hair that I pin up under my wig cap, so I usually go to Arda since their wig caps seem more forgiving and fit me pretty well. Any larger-headed folks have experience with Matchwigs? I don't mind a little snugness, so long as my hairline is covered completely.

Trapped sweat and dirt in your wig and pores. Take your wig off and let it breathe. And wash your dang face.

Tips: If I absolutely don't have time to take my wig off (like contests running too long), I put a light smattering of baby powder on my hair line. It washes out easily and soaks up some sweat but its just a fix for about 4-5 hrs since eventually it stops working.

You could also use petroleum jelly if your face is clean (I mean pull your wig off and wipe that area down because if you don't, it will trap sweat and give you terrible pimples) since it protects but the same time stipulations apply.

I think you'd be better off putting the cash towards Arda's Matilda (maybe in Light Blonde and then do a gradient dye for the red/orange?).

I have two Matildas and 2 Ferraris and the Matildas are absurdly thick, luscious wigs.
They have so much thick wefting at the top you could easily get that upper body with literally 60 seconds of hand fluffing (and a good proper tease+hair spray would lock it in).
The Ferraris do have more layers though, which look similar to the character you've posted.
Still, for that price you might as well get a gorgeous lace front (though Arda's hairline shape is admittedly unnatural).

Thanks, I'll look forward to that. I wish Wiwigs' stock photos were 'better' somehow, I can't tell if the colours are accurate because, even though it looks good, you can see the wig head looks super washed out in comparison. They also choose the most disgusting backgrounds... I've read reviews on Amazon about some of their dark brown/dark coffee brown wigs that are generally positive with a few that say the colour was lighter or darker than they expected.

I think as long as she wefts the ferrari in at the crown as well, she'll be fine. Matilda is definitely thicker-looking overall (in part because it's shorter so the hair fluffs more, and also in part because there's more hair up top), but it's mostly due to the styling.

>>8941093
My only other suggestion would be to try lucaille. Their fiber type and thickness is similar to Arda, but the cap is a bit smaller.

My twin sister and I are thinking of getting an Ouran group together for Acen. We'd be the Hitachiin brothers for maximum lols and for our wigs we're looking at using either the Derek or Magnum from Arda. I've seen cosplayers use the Derek for some pretty versatile styling, but I'm worried it might be too short in the back. On the other hand, if we have to trim a lot of hair off the Magnum it would take some extra effort to make sure both wigs are identical after the fact. What do you guys think?

yo, seagulls. i'm trying to put together a nyx cosplay from fire emblem: fates and i'm having a really hard time getting a wig together.

first of all, i'm not quite sure what i should do about the color. her in-game portrait is a somewhat saturated purple, but her battle sprite is more of a black. i'm considering getting a black with purple undertones, but they're super hard to find.

second is the texture. i'm really not sure how to go at those .. spikes? curls? and, if i'm being perfectly honest, i'd reeeeallly rather not bankrupt myself with a 200$ wig here.

any tips?
>>
>>8948021
I've been planning on cosplaying her as well! I'm pretty crazy about styling wigs, but I definitely don't think you need to throw 200$ into it (it still won't be cheap though). For the color, go with Arda. They have wigs that are black with other colors blended in, like purple. Get a long curly wig and an extra pack of wefts. The problem here is that you technically would need a lacefront, but I think you can just style the bangs into those curls she has on either side. Sew in the extra pack of wefts, or hot glue them if you're lazy it honestly works just the same. The wefts are straight but you can curl them with a curling iron once they're sewn in. You can also tease some of the hair for even more volume since she's got some pretty big hair. I wouldn't worry too much about the spikey aspect of her, just make sure you cut lots of layers. Maybe spike out some of the curls close to the sides/front but I'm still debating with myself whether spiking all over would be worth it since you'd lose a lot of the movement.

...sorry for all of the detail I've just thought about this wig a lot. Not gettig a lacefront and just using a base wig plus wefts will keep it under 100$.
>>
>>8948038

Yeah! I was going to either go with a curly wig + wefts or a straight one with layers. Or, if it just ends up being too much, I might get a blacker wig that's already layered and add in a few wefts for some length. I wish her hair wasn't so damn frustrating, it seems like you either have to go for a realistic interpretation or end up like Steven Universe wigs tend to - really blocky and solid.

I'm just a poor student and only have a few hundred bucks to spend on the costume AND the con, haha. Thanks though, I'm definitely gonna put together some wigs and wefts.
>>
>>8948065
yeah I always prefer the route of "slightly more realistic interpretation" for styles like this. I think as long as you've got layers, waves and volume you're good.
>>
>>8948150

I'm thinking of going with Epiccosplay's athena - https://www.epiccosplay.com/athena-40-purple-black-fusion-straight-long-cosplay-wig.html

it has some pre-layers for the front strips, and, together with the wefts, won't destroy my wallet.
>>
>>8948196
I'd really recommend doing a luthien from Arda, Epic Cosplay is only nice if you want a thin, sleek wig that's super soft. For Nyx you need volume. Also layers tend to look like shit on straight wigs unless you're really confident in your styling skills. In the end it's your choice but the wig + a pack of wefts are going to cost about the same from either seller.

The consensus on Bodyline wigs is "pretty good for the price."

I have a curly one with big volume and it tangles a bit too much for my liking, but is pretty nice otherwise. For the price it's worth it.

Idk if Yan has been marking up wigs, but it's always better to wait for a sale. Also, their shipping is fucked right now or something and overcharging people so beware when shopping. Check the Bodyline thread if you have more questions about that.

If I post a pic of a wig, do you think anyone could tell me the brand? I'm 90% sure it's an older Arda with (about 2010) but I'm so in love with it. The problem is that the cap is too small on my giant head, but I can live with that for the quality of the wig, I just have to pin it in like crazy.

Should I gradient dye instead? I've never actually dyed a wig before.

I would think hand dying would be easier than splicing the two together if you've never done either.

As its a short/small area you could probably just use a copic in the right shade, section off the fringe and hand colour/dye. I would recommend paying the $6 or so for a copic in that shade as I've never seen a sharpie in peach, and the colour will be fairly strong as its on a lighter wig. :)

>cosplay tutorial video
>aka, basic bitch make-up followed up by a poor quality seifuku tutorial for cheapskate weebs
>that ratty ass cheap wig at the end

As much as I hate this ""game"" (if you can call a series of updated sandboxes that these days) and the 12 year-old fanbase it has, couldn't help but notice this pop up in my recommendations.

Dear god, at first when I looked at the thumbnail I thought that the problem was that she did sideswept her bangs instead of styling them, which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine, but once I saw the end result I realized that she probably didn't spend more than $6 on that mop of hair. There's not enough fibers there to do much of anything.

Also,
>"So now for the hair I'm going to put on a wig, but you really don't need to. You can be any type of Yandere-chan you wish!"
>inb4 greasydere-chan cosplays
Nobody will know who they're supposed to be because sociopathic cunt in a seifuku with her natural hair is not a character.

Different anon, but changing your wig cap everyday is a good idea, or bring a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol and spray your cap after you take it off to kill bacteria. You might still have trouble with oil with the alcohol method, but I've had good luck. However, for the love of god, don't spray it right before you wear the cap or let the alcohol dry before you put it on. Shit burns.

why the fuck do people do their eye makeup and THEN put in contacts
Not only is it unclean (makeup on hands, eyes, transfers to contacts), if your eyes start watering/you slip/touch your eye makeup it's an eyeliner nightmare??

who even does eye makeup before face/base makeup anyway??? Like why would you want to put powder/liquid on around all that eye makeup...
>>
>>8926422
I have both, I think arda's silky is a lot more natural looking because of the color blends. I've heard other people describe the silky as super shiny but mine was not, maybe it depends on the color? It's hard to compare the tangliness because my ardas are a lot longer than any of my epic cosplay wigs, but both are much easier to detangle than arda's classic fibers.
>>
>>8956484
i can barely believe there are people who do this shit. i taught myself to do makeup and i know how to do it.

>contacts(optional)
>base makeup(foundation etc)
>eye makeup
>cheek and eye area touch ups(in case of eyeshadow falls etc)
>blush
>wig

that's how you do it. i also personally find doing falsies before the rest of the eye makeup somewhat easier(especially if you use black eyelash glue, they stick better overall and it's not hard to line around them.

i just don't get how people go through life not knowing how to do makeup.

How does one remove the fringe or "bangs" from a wig? I don't think its as simple as just pulling the fiber back a slicking the fibers back no? Do I just cut the bangs really short? All the characters I have done in the past always have had funky fringes but never something like this

I don't want to go cutting stuff in case I ruin it. I'm planning to go from this to this.. I can work out the spikes myself. Just didn't think about the awkward fringe

I have looked online for similar assistance just want some further input. Thanks

>>
>>8953528
left looks ok, actually impressed because if a white wig is thin the tracks are instantly obvious. Right looks pretty bad though. BL's 'curly bob' wigs may (generally) have quirks in the shape; they sew a couple wefts to poke out for volume. It's weird af, but possible to cover up.
>>
>>8954170
If you're more experienced at splicing, I recommend you do that instead of dying. I suggest you use two Viviens instead of Ferraris since it's closer to length of the character.

Would you suggest SILKY or Original Arda wigs for a long curly wig?

>>
>>8934788
I just recently bought a wig from that ebay seller, I think it was even the same wig you're looking at but just in dark brown. The wig is not as thick as in the picture and it's a tad shiny but not terribly so. The wig cap is on the larger side which for me is definitely a plus but your opinion might differ if you have a small head. I can't comment on tangling as I haven't worn it yet, I only tried it on, braided it and put it away into storage.

>>

Okay, so the wig arrived!

Colour is pretty good. Maybe just a tad darker than I thought it would be, but I was mostly worried about it being obnoxiously light. I've mostly ordered from Lucaille before (and Arda like once) so I'll use that as the main basis of comparison.

>fiber texture is decently soft, not as soft as Lucaille, but I think it shouldn't tangle too badly.
>colour was decently accurate to stock photo, maybe a tad darker? But pretty good I'd say!
>it's a big thicker than some of Lucaille's fashion wigs.

I think I found what I was looking for, so I am pretty happy! Is it worth ~40 CAD I spent? Maybe I'm spoiled because Lucaille is cheaper but I think I did alright. At least now I know I can count on the accuracy of stock photos, unlike with random ebay shops!

I'll take pictures if requested (it's late and I'm feeling lazy atm).

I've made a bad experience with them. But maybe I just got a bad wig. I'd like to hear your experience.
The fibers themself look great and aren't shiny. But the top of the wig is extremely thin. I can't wear it without covering it up. This is unacceptable for a 60€ wig.
As I needed it for a con and planned to cover the top anyway, I didn't complain, but I won't buy from them again.

....No? You can dye synthetic wigs, and you can dye black with idye poly. That being said it's a big pain in the ass for longer wigs or if you over heat the water.

Idye poly gets you the best saturation out there, speaking as someone who's dyed with idye, ink, and sharpies on probably about a dozen wigs. I prefer to only use it on short wigs or wefts though, because the hot water tangles longer wigs really badly.

To get back on topic, I'd like to ask what color of wig should I buy for my Black Lady (evil older Chibi-Usa) cosplay.
I'm gonna make it like how Miku Hatsune wigs usually are, with just clip on ponytails and make the cone shaped buns myself to stick on.

I might buy from Arda so I'm using their wig color chart.

I would like it much better if the blonde hair tones matched the fluff white (so they probably should have used a white base wig).

>>8964172
You probably could splice 2 lace fronts but doing so would have a small seam right down the middle, which would probably be visible to some degree.
I would still recommend that to dying one, however! If you had to dye a lace front that close to the scalp it probably stain the lace and make it super visible since it won't be skin toned anymore (ie, ruining the whole reason you 'd use a lace front in the first place).
Also, since you are new to multicolor wigs I'm going to mention that wigs do not dye in the same way that human hair does. Wigs are made of plastic fibers and so you aren't really -dying- them, so much as staining the plastic (with various methods like sharpie baths/hand coloring, fabric dyes on heat resistant wigs and other methods). As such, getting a true black is pretty much impossible unless you are planning to hand color the entire area with black sharpie/copics (and even "black" sharpies are more of a super concentrated purple so you'd need serious saturation to get it looking "black"). It does look like these gulls are talking about idye black though, if you still want to risk ruining the lace.

They said they aren't good at styling so I don't recommend the Cady, they'd have to fig out how to reverse the direction the entire wig lays (since his hair slicks forward and the Cady slicks back).
>>8965025
Epic Cosplay Wigs has a style that would work very well for this, with very minimal styling: the Hermes in Silvery Grey (pic related is the style). I've used this wig before in a different shade for a costume for my bf and the front area already sticks up very close to Silas' hair. I had to use a straightener to curve it back down but you could do the opposite and use one to flip the rest of the hair upwards.
>>
>>8969302
2/2
If you insist on going with Arda you could probably rig something up with a Rocky and the wefts from a bang clip (like taking some of them out of a clip and sewing them into the front of your wig, not just clipping on the clip). I wouldn't call that difficult but the Rocky is super, duper shot adding some front fibers would be essential. I say use a bang clip instead of wefts because a) the small wefts in the clip are much easier to work with and only minimal trimming/shaping would be needed as opposed to having to deal with all the excess length from regular wefts and b) cheaper.
If you get a bang piece with varying lengths of fibers you could use the longer bits to make a hairline like >>8957676 for the front middle chunk.
You could also buy one of their lace front pieces instead and use that for the hair line flippy front but that won't be nearly as foolproof and much more expensive (though with potentially a better result if you are a fan of lace hair lines like me).
>>
>>8959643
I don't think the Silky line is that great. If I'm paying for Arda I don't want my wigs to have that shine. However, if you are new to wig care may the Silky line would work for you to have on some detangle nightmares. I have Classic Ferraris and detangling them isn't an issue but a couple Classic Long Pony Clips I have literally take hours to make each one presentable and tangle and the mere idea of movement.

>>8967894
I think you could deconstruct a Bang Clip and essentially make your own tiny ponytail wrap (or clip or whatever). I don't own a Vivien but most Arda as pretty thick so you could probably just artfully tease the bits you pulled back to give the ponytail more mass if you just want to use the Vivien.

>>8968801
I have a color rings and my top choices would be (in no order): Baby Pink, Bubblegum, Light Pink and Serah Pink.
I'd recommend buying swatches of all 4 and their Silky sister colors and see which matches your skin tone and fabrics best.
Baby Pink is probably most accurate but it has some very cold lavender undertones blended in which could clash with most skin tones.
Bubblegum and Light Pink are very similar to each other, only Bubblegum is more pink-pink whereas Light Pink is more of a prink with very slight warm gold undertones; think of Light Pink as the warmer one, with Bubblegum being the cooler shade (but not nearly up there with the cold Baby Pink). Lastly, Serah Pink is the lightest shade and almost seems to me like a lighter bend of Light Pink and Baby Pink? This is a very gentle color and I think it would suit Chibiusa's huge cotton candy ponytails very well (so in turn could be good for Wicked Lady).

I've made a Moon with with the Chibi before and the Classic fibers I used for the ponytails tangled like nothing else. It legitimately takes me hours to detangle each of them and they get more damaged each time I brush them out. I don't know if I'd go Silky though, since personally it would depend on how well they matched.

Whoops, I just checked Arda' site: they don't offer the Serah Pink in the chibi so it looks like that narrows down my picks to just Baby Pink, Bubblegums and Light Pink (and their Silky sisters).
That sucks, I was leaning towards Serah Pink too.

I actually have Wicked Lady in my plans as well and I picked up a Light Pink chibi secondhand a long while back. Though it isn't accurate, I really like the color and think it will be much more flattering (on my skin tone anyway!) than any of the other options.

tl;dr Go with the pink that matches your skin tones best.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Long-Wavy-Silver-white-purple-cosplay-party-hair-Wig-/182047351410?hash=item2a62de2272:g:GsgAAOSwZQxW3kGw

Or a pure white wig like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mixed-Color-Anime-Cosplay-Wig-Ombre-Brown-Pink-Purple-Blue-Red-Gray-Full-Wigs-O-/371597912631?var=640609691156&hash=item5684f62a37:m:muVaK26dD34C5uoKMe2L0VQ

The wig would be styled to have beads, strings and braids in it too, to keep to the tribal theme. I'm unsure what to do with my wolfs hair but he'll be wearing a hood anyway.

For Lulu's hair am I looking at Arda Jasmine or Jeannie? I'm already saying no at her braids on the back of her head that go into her ponytail/bun. Her long hanging ones should be enough right?

Recommended wig for her?

Thought about using Arda because their wigs are so thick, but nothing really matches. Unless I curl it one of their straight ones.

Wow, thanks for the advice!
Didn't look at Epic Cosplay Wigs before.Turns out their warehouse isn't too far from me so I could check out their showroom or pick the wig up there.Really like the Hermes,so looks like this is the route I'm taking.
>>
Question in general but are Epic Cosplay's wigs just thin on average. I've had nothing but loose wefted nightmares from them.
>>
recommendation for wigs for people with bigger heads and thick hair? wig cap tips also appreciated.

Epic Cosplay Wigs and Arda Wigs are the go to recommendation for large headed people.
The Five Wits may have large caps, someone else will have to confirm.

What would be a good wig for Rise? Not sure if I should go with something pre-styled or Arda's Vivien Mahogany with clips.

I got a Rise wig from Lucaille wigs once. The color was perfect, and the pigtails were styled like hers (thinned out in places) but the clips were kind of shit.

Seems like a good starting point, did you try to curl it?

It appears they've been having issues with the actual quality of the silky wigs. Why am i not surprised? From my experience arda relies on brand recognition in order to hike up their prices for average quality wigs. Ive gotten wigs from them where strands were falling out and and constantly tangled. Meanwhile Ive bought wigs from have the price and twice the quality from other lesser known distributers.

I recently asked when theyd be restocking.
>>
Has anyone here ordered from Lucaille's website? There's a wig I might like to order and it'd be way easier for me to do it on their website versus their taobao.

>humanised tribal version
So pretty much exactly what jessica nigri and everyone else does
Also, gradiant would look better, but it should be blue and not purple. Lastly, don't buy ebay wigs for $10. that's like begging for it to be crappy.
