What is a good brand for plus size sweet blouses? Everything I find is mostly gothic or classic, and I'm looking for more AP style blouses.

If you're need custom sized then I would check out Bunny House or Bunberry. Otherwise you could try some fully shirred brand blouses if your shoulders aren't wide and it's just a bust issue

I've had luck with Lady Sloth, are there any other plus size indie brands out there? I've looked into Bunny House and Bunberry and they're good but I want more skirts and dresses.

I've finally lost my patience with Tumblr ass-patting plus-size itas so I'm hoping to write up some pages and start a blog over spring break. In addition to accepting submissions of decent coords for inspo, I'm planning to write up pages to address common issues, particularly problems "justified" by sizing problems. List of topics so far:

Oh and I have the shittiest time finding shoes to fit my feet. I don't know if this is a common problem for plus size women or its just my genetics but my suggestions on finding cute shoes in wide or double wide is to go to sites like torrid, city chic, or f21 plus size when there are sales for the shoes and buying a size bigger then buying shoe inserts such as Doctor Scholls.

I've got a few dresses that don't have lacing, but have shirring, and they always fit snugly around my bust but gape a little at my waist. It really bothers me. I have zero idea how all these girls manage to fill out a bodice when some are more busty and have a smaller waist than I do. Am I just doomed to buy dresses that have underbust ties or back lacing?

I have a boxy frame, my bust isn't even that big for my size, so I have no idea what is going on when I put on a jsk. It's like I constantly need to be pulling it down because if it sits naturally it bunches up.

Just add some lacing to them. Unless your boobs are massive and take up the entire bodice like >>8920986 or the dress has tight waist shirring like >>8926073 you're going to run into that problem. Also if you have a low waist and a large chest you'll have that problem too. You can always try lengthening straps on JSKs to give you more room in the bodice buy ultimately adding lacing will give you the best effect.

It's been a couple years since I ordered but I did it through Clobba, I didn't have an option to change the width back then. Good to know it's an option if you order direct! Some of their shoe designs are constructed more narrow than others so I guess it depends. I also have freakishly shaped feet (very big, very wide, very flat) so there's that.

I have really bad feet. Totally collapsed arches, bunions, the beginnings of skewfoot, pronation that wears diagonally on the inside of all my heels and extremely wide forefoot with tiny ankles. Everyone complains about Bodyline's fit but oddly enough s507 are really comfortable, versatile (though best for sweet) and make my feet look somewhat decent at least. I have them in 3 different colours.

I've got wide feet and have ordered from Antaina (about a year ago). Once she got my foot width measurement she suggested I go up a size from what I normally wear. I was ordering some heels, so I messaged back saying long shoes are a horror to wear -- they flop off, things fit wrong, etc, etc. However, she said that she was not able to change the shoe width -- I could only go up two sizes if I wanted that foot width, and deal with longer shoes.

When the shoes arrived, they did indeed fit -- but were also too long. Wouldn't matter much if they weren't high heels, but my foot slid down in mine and my toes were squished up into a toebox that was still too narrow for them. In the end, I bought some heel elevators from Daiso, popped those into my toeboxes and then my foot stopped sliding down.

tl;dr -- Antaina wasn't able to change the shoe width on mine, either that's something that changed less than a year ago, or you should get ready to receive longer shoes. If you do though, you can pop in heel elevators to help with that.

Lengthening the straps makes me look really saggy. It's not an issue of my cup being too large for the 'cup' area of the bodice, I'm also super short (under five four)

I always feel that lolita should be kinda fitted so when I look at myself in the mirror I feel very odd.

None of these girls look plus sized, even if the last one is edited her arms and waist are still small. Honestly a lot of the girls in this thread look like they would normally wear an American medium size at best. I'm not a plus sized lolita but I enjoy looking at coords and it's kind of odd to see. Due to its limited sizing, the threshold for "plus size" is much lower in lolita than it is in mainstream fashion. But I do agree that the girls you pointed out probably don't even meet that criteria. Having worn both of those and also being F cup - I don't think it's normal vs. longer. I think the cat dress is technically a babydoll, and wheels of time (whatever the name is, I forget) is a regular bodice. The cat dress bodice was so laughably short that I can't imagine it being considered regular length.

Some of these chubby lolitas are pretty cute, then again thats my type

Eh, Time Lag World's bodice is like 5cm longer than their usually bodices which is long so far as brand is concerned. Haenuli's bodices are unnaturally long though, so I would consider those outliers, but the overall effect is the same.

Longer bodices in general look better. BUT... it's also going to depend on your proportions. I'm topheavy and all my weight goes to my tits, but I have a short and wide torso and narrow hips with little space between my ribs and hips. So I forever look wide. However, I don't carry much weight on my arms or legs and where I do carry it, it's usually very well covered (high up on my thighs and chicken wing arms) and my limbs are pretty small. So, I will often wear empire waists and find that I look better in them than in lower waistlines where it really draws attention to a less defined waistline. Though since I put on more weight nothing looks good on me right now unless I wear a bolero. But this was the case when I was about 15-20lbs lighter. I can still kinda fudge it a little. So annoying.

I'm not even sure how you can objectively define plus-sized in lolita. I mean these girls don't look that big to me and I've seen smaller girls with a higher ratio of body fat. I mean my BMI places me very very close to the obese range- 'plus sized' according to the numbers- so these small-looking girls could also very well be plus sized, but saying that you could just as easily be shocked by the weight of lots of 'normal looking' girls who 'pass' and wouldn't ever be posted in a thread like this

Guess it's more of a body shape thing because apple-shaped girls tend to be the ones called Landwhales unless someone has extremely large calves.

Uh, I've put on more weight since this pic was taken. My legs are still skinny and muscley. As in, you can see muscle definition in my thighs and calves. Fat doesn't really accumulate on my arms, legs or ass. They're the only thing on me that I'm not tempted to shoop. But I didn't shoop this pic. Most of the time, it's minor adjustments, like if buckles are undone on a shoe and I didn't notice it, but it's an otherwise good pic, I'll fix it.

But yes, I'm a fatty with skinny ass legs. It happens. We are out in the wild. Observe people, you might see them. Especially in the midwest where we're free-range.
