I remember her doing some lolita shit before she started hosting but that's it. I still have two of her CDs

I didn't start congoing until about 2008 so I really had never heard of her till now. She seems like the original cute blonde babe except with real skill. Honestly she's cute af and I'm sad I missed all this.

I don't think Apollo Smile was ever a cosplayer. She was just a "living anime girl" who tried to turn being a weeb into a performing art.

I remember her, although I had been definitely in the kiddie side and managed to catch the anime summer week on accident. She was like a pre J-nig, except that she actually knows martial arts/stunts/dance, and she tries to sing. A lot of that came with her previously establishing herself as a performer though who wanted to tap into the anime market in America.

pretty sure she got lots of people into anime at the time. i think it was around 97 or 98 when i first heard about her. I had her comic book too.
