Starting the thread off with some sad news (reposted from last thread as it was already autosaging then):

† Information about the Gothic&Lolita Bible

I think everyone always looks forward to my photos wearing Moi-meme-Moitie in the Gothic&Lolita Bible, but this time I got this from the person in charge

"Every issue we've always requested Mana-Sama x Moi-meme-Moitie pages, but according to the publisher it has been decided that from next issue on those plans will come to an end…"

Thats what they said.
I have always taken part in the Gothic&Lolita Bible since the very first issue over a span of some 10 years, so as you might expect I'm a little sad.

Mana
>>
>>8837596
Oh, and does anyone know what email address the staff for the G&LB use, to message them like suggested earlier? >>8837589
>>
>>8837596
WHAT?! They can't do that.. that's just wrong
>>
>>8837596
I don't really wear gothic nor am I a fan of Moitie but this still makes me very sad. It feels wrong. Is there a reason behind this? Are they just looking to bring in new material or did something happen?
>>
>>8837469
>>8837447
Glad I could help!
I personally found that applying oxyclean as a paste helps get out discoloration in white blouse, but that's all I've ever used.
>>
>>8837596
What the literal fuck? I don't wear MmM, but this is fucked up. Mana is one of the symbols of lolita, imo, and as he himself said, he's always been in the bibles. Who gives a fuck if the publisher doesn't want him anymore, I'm willing to bet there are a decent number of people who wouldn't be buying those books if they hadn't gotten into lolita through bands like MM or MdM and figures like Mana.
>>
>>8837607
I think it's a personal decision of Mana to be involved less with the fashion. Two years ago one of his band members died iirc and a couple of years ago a print designer left and I'm not sufe if they have found a good replacement yet.
Fact is, that Moities releases are getting less and less, original prints are getting less, and I think it all has to do with Mana's loss of a good friend and the loss of a good designer. I can image that the brand doesn't do well financially right now because of it, and Mana stepping back on costs and work a little seems reasonable desu.

>>8837596
I know neither MmM nor Mana aren't popular like they used to be, still I don't think this should be a reason not to feature them.
I'd love to know why this decision was made.
>>
>>8837625
Did you read the post? Mana didn't agree with the decision. Moitie has always had far fewer releases. The death of K (and Kami) were horrible, but MdM are releasing a new album this year, so Mana is still wanting to be active in the music scene. His sadness at not being wanted in the G&LB anymore indicates that he also sees a long term future for Moitie. I was worried when all the stores shut down, but Moitie items have always been slow to release and sell out. Even Iron Gate and Cathedral took a long time.
>>
>>8837635
Well maybe he should start putting out something other than the samey black and indigo shit.
>>
>>8837641
Obviously you don't follow Moitie, because there is more than black and "indigo" (I think you mean navy).
>>
>>8837641
I hope not.. The reason I buy Moitie is because I can trust them to not be all over the place like other brands..
>>
>>8837644
I'm a huge fan of MmM but anon is right:
There's little to differentiate between their pieces.

They're all solid and iconic but you can only rely on the same sort of imagery for over a decade before things get stale. Gothic is also not "trendy" right now so it's a double whammy.
>>
>>8837647
That's a pretty shitty reason to buy something, especially considering that the brands most notorious for that are sweet or classic.

Moitie's modern (2010+) releases have had a brighter shade of blue on average, and lots of their items like socks and jewelry differ in shades. But if it's the same lace, you're safe.
>>
>>8837596
I know people (sigh) isn't into visual kei much as used to be but this is really unfair!
>>
>>8837647
It's true that Moitie hasn't evolved as much as some other brands such as AP, Baby, Meta (and less so, IW), but they have definitely changed over time. Most noticeably, from around 2010 onwards. Moitie actually started doing ~trendy~ things like printed chiffon and longer dresses before most other brands. VM and MM don't change, but no one shits on them for that. While black x navy is Moitie's staple colourway, they also have items in many other colours such as white, red, cornflower blue, emerald green, gold, pink (usually an accent), etc.

One of Moitie's mistakes is not releasing enough socks, bags, shoes, parasols, etc. Everyone needs more of these, yet they never release them, especially the last three. Moitie also hasn't released any bloomers for almost a decade.
>>
>>8837596
This is just awful of them to make a decision like this out of nowhere. It really makes me lose hope for the future of the fashion. You don't just get rid of a fashion icon who basically birthed gothic Lolita.
It makes me wonder if part of the decline of gothic lolita was due to some conscious decisions like this. There's no reason to axe Mana and his brand, of all things, unless you have clear intentions to steer the fashion more towards sweet or classic. The wanting new blood excuse is bullshit. Lolita is still to small and niche to show favoritism to only certain brands. Do they want to kill Moitie?

I bet there's some new people on staff since this looks like internal changes. It should be looked into and complained about to whoever can fix this.
>>
>>8837722
I don't think they're going to cut Moitie out entirely, just the pages where Mana is modelling. Or did I misunderstand?
>>
>>8837655

This is so upsetting, fuck. His photos were always a highlight for me; even if I didn't care for the clothes showcased, the photography, makeup, hair, etc. we're always great to look at and inspiring.

I wish moitie would release more staple pieces as well; I'd go nuts for that stuff, but really I don't want to buy anythig from them now because I already have 5 solid color moitie dresses, so I really don't need another one of those and that's mostly what they have. Their OTKs are of incredibly quality, and are always so damn hard to find. I really wish I had more of those.
>>
>>8837727
Either way, their decision makes no sense. Mana is the face of MmM and always has been.

Thanks for reporting back, anon. I'm the anon that tried disinfectant spray, just spraying it it still smelled faintly of sweat, but after washing it as well the sweat smell is gone. You can still faintly smell the (at least nicely-scented) disinfectant on it, but the sweat has gone.

I think I've seen enough of it in person to know it's rarely a proper navy. Too saturated most of the time. They range from blue to indigo.

The Yen will be weakening more. BOJ has introduced a negative interest rates. This is good news for lolitas living in the United States.

I've been buying lots of second hand items off Y!J since the yen went downhill last year and this news makes me happy. Canada's dollar hasn't been doing well either so now is a good time to buy from Canadian sellers if you live in the US.
>>
>>8838015
OH HELL YEAH NIGGA
Plus oil shares are up slightly now aren't they, since the US is slowing production with the weak price. Hopefully they calm the fuck down so commodities stop sliding downhill and causing mass stock selloffs. I was getting so depressed about the dollar falling since I buy mainly from Japanese secondhand stores

>>

>all over the place like other brands
M8 are you shit talking my meta?

But seriously,I wonder what japanese lolitas think about removing Mana.
>>
>>8838062
Not that anon but I doubt they meant Meta. Probably meant the brands' ever changing aesthetics and trendhopping (AP's sweet/OTT sweet/OTT classic/religious motifs, IW's sweet pieces and abundance of electric blue carousel/crosses/unicorn prints, etc)
Meta having no consistent theme or aesthetic and doing their own thing is nothing new.
>>
>>8838057
Do you have a link to your LM or a list of items you have for sale? Once I get my tax return back, I plan to get a few main pieces and basics to pad my wardrobe.
>>
>>8838098
Meta's consistent aesthetic is Meta.

I'm not sure, honestly. The newest pair I have is pic related, and I got them in either 2009 or 2010. I must have worn the damn things 20-30 times by now and they still show no signs of wear at all; plus they're super stretchy, comfortable and extra long (which is great because I'm too damn tall), way more so than Baby/AATP OTKs. I really hope to get the ivory some day. I even fell in these damn things one day and cut my knee UNDER the socks and it didn't harm them one bit.

Is AP USA doing another Holy Lantern preorder on their page right now or am I imagining things?

so spend $25 at AP in order to buy $50 ticket that includes $25 gift card, so you're not saving any money at this point... It's decent since it also includes a photoshoot with a pro and makeup application tips.

Same. I usually wear gothic lolita and sort of liked it, even if it's a bit sweet, but passed all these times. It's practically throwing itself at us leftover people who have sat on the fence this long. I think I should just buy a skirt for casual wear (since a unique print this is no longer) and give into Unholy Bandwagon.
>>
Anyone else not being able to check out with Magic Princess?
>>
>>8838501
I had zero issues with this release and the last few. I was able to go back and grab a pair of socks. To be honest, I had a slow internet speed last year and it caused problems with buying items during releases. I upgraded my connection since I needed it to work from home and it loads completely normal.
>>
>>8838501
I was fine. This was not a bloodbath at all, way less popular than I thought it would be.
>>
>>8838506
No I mean nothing will let me check anything out at all, the internet is fine.
>>
>>8838501
Nope I had no issues getting the dress. >>8838506
By going back, do you mean you can order accessories in a separate order? Or will that cancel your first order?
>>
>>8838511
Yeah I thought for sure it'd be a hell of a lot worse. Really surprised, but rather relieved too.
>>
>>8838511
I agree. The only thing that sold out is the ivory headbow so far.

>>8838514
Yes, you can go back and add accessories to a new order so long as you follow their point rule. It's usually 1 dress, 1 headbow, and 1 accessory (socks). I always check out with a main piece then go back and add accessories. I haven't had any orders canceled on me and I've done it at least 10 times.
>>
So I guess Magic Princess is kind of a flop? No one is flooding the site and none of the items in the series has sold out yet (except for a headbow).
>>
>>8838513
Really strange. How many times have you tried? Also don't worry anon-chan nothing is selling out, you have lots of time!
>>
>>8837834

>>
>>8838523
I don't think it's flop, I think it will sell out by the end of the week.

Sorry for the dumb question but how are we supposed to open the pins on AP's brooches? Pic related is a mystery to me..
>>
>>8839330
See where the pointy bit of the pin is? There's a notch above it that you hook you nail in and rotate it down. That lets you get the pin out of the clasp like normal. It's to stop the brooch from undoing itself.

What's a good english book that gives a decent portrayal of lolita fashion with accurate information? My mother and grandmother think it looks cute and want to learn about the fashion I'm into, but they're more readers and don't go online much. All I keep finding are street snap type books and I don't really want to buy a general "harajuku fashion" book with dated decora and random goths in it.

the guy version of lolita is called Ouji, which means prince. They wear long caps, top hats, and pants. See pic attached.

Alternatively a lot of guys choice to just wear the fashion any way a girl would, with dresses and all, this is called brolita.

I'd say that this guy is closer to a more casual male aristocrat look than ouji. It overall feels like it's a more mature lok than your typical 'ouji' one, which is very youthful.

I have no clue, but he's some guy from Australia iirc. Don't think he's in the fashion regularly.

it is ouji. aristocrat is not just ouji with long pants. it is like lolita in that respect; everything from Misako's kawaii uguu coords to Fanny Rose's understated Mary Magdalene coords are lolita.

pic related is part of a GLB feature for ouji styles to wear through the week, for example.

meanwhile, aristocrat has a level of decadence and a particular drape to it.
>>
>>8839727
How is >>8839679 strictly ouji and not aristocratic? With that roland and jabot blouse? There's really nothing boyish about the whole thing. If anything it's a bit weirdly mismatched with military boots and a rough workwear looking belt. It's also lacking any of the ott or silliness of ouji.

And in Japan people tend to refer to aristocrat as ouji too, hence maybe your confusion.

>And in Japan people tend to refer to aristocrat as ouji too, hence maybe your confusion.
you got me, i am using Japanese terms to refer to a Japanese fashion.

where do you get that ouji needs to be silly or OTT? or that a jabot blouse and Roland would not be ouji?

Mana considers pic related EGA; if anything is casual aristocrat, it would be something like this, not a waistcoat and frilly blouse (two ouji staples).
>>
>>8839727
I know what aristocrat is, I wear it. There's a reason why I described it as being 'closer to a more casual male aristocrat' look. I like the look as a great example of how to tone the style down for a more everyday look, while retaining key aspects of the more mature, aristocrat style.

Even the long trousers looks in what I consider to be ouji retain a sense of playful youthfulness to them. See Buttcape's Lolita-Aristocrat-Ouji family triangle diagram.
>>
>>8839759
A jaboted blouse and a Roland can be used in ouji and aristocrat alike. It's the way that they are used in an outfit is what marks the difference to me.

Both your picture of Mana and the guy in >>8839679 can both be classed as casual aristo in my eyes. The first guy clearly has elements from aristocrat in his style, but it's still fairly relaxed as an overall look, it's not as full-on as aristocrat can go, even in the male variant.
>>
>>8839784
i wear it also. on the lolita family triangle (it pleases me to see this term in use) i think that guy's coord is in the middle space between ouji and aristo, but if i had to put it in one category i would call it ouji, based on my research.

i know the Western comm uses "aristocrat" in a different way than Japan does, and that most of what people know comes from Western tradition. i am confident that Japanese oujis would consider the coord in question to be ouji. the omage may even have been used in a certain article on ouji overseas but i am having a difficult time locating said article.
>>
>>8839673
Misako wrote a book relatively recently didn't she? Can't remember if it got a translation.
>>
>>8839806
The maturity of the look overall is what puts the look into aristocrat for me rather than the more childish look of ouji, which to me has more accessories most of the time. There's a simple, restrained feel to this outfit. Technotropism's pictured outfit however, is definitely ouji. There's the key difference, even though both outfits have long trousers and long boots in them. Technotropism's outfit is closer to the halfway point in my opinion.

Boz considers pic related to be ouji-kei; what do you think of that?

http://bozosaka.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-1022.html

i think there is a bias toward seeing men/masculinity in ouji as "aristocrat" because they do not tend to wear the same cutesy, girly ouji that women do. but this is like saying Fannie Rosie and Princess Peachie wear different fashions. because FR's coords are not as silly or OTT as PP's.

for me, the main difference between ouji and aristo is not the youthful/maturity scale but the fanciful/decadent one. ouji has elements of fantasy to it while aristocrat is more grounded in gothic fashion tropes. ouji also regularly pulls from Rococo fashion, while aristocrat lingers around Victorian and modern styles without going all Rose of Versailles.

i think the unwillingness to follow Japanese terms for a Japanese fashion is a bit weird 2bh.
>>
>>8839843
Not an unwillingness to follow the Japanese terms for me. More that I'm using terminology as I see it used in the West for ease of communication combined with my own views on the differences based on several years of wearing what we refef to as 'aristocrat'. I dont call aristocrat EGA though, that's for Moitie's take on it.

Also stop spoonfeeding newfags, she can Google ouji or male lolita as easy as anyone else can
>>
>>8839873
i can see that. i think that is the most common view, and i can respect that you are making an educated choice.

for me, i used to tell people not to use "kodona" as a term, but then realized i was being a hypocrite by saying "kodona" wasn't okay but "aristocrat" outside of EGA was. both are Western categories based on Western aesthetic interpretations of ouji and Japanese goth. maybe i am inclined to this view because i wear it alone and spend too much time researching Japanese sources, where the terms (kodona and aristocrat) aren't relevant. if i was more involved in the Western community i might see it differently.

If you were to follow Japanese terms you'd call all of it ouji and you wouldn't make this sort of distinction between ouji and aristocrat.

pic related: crappily-assembled aristocrat collage. these would never be mistaken for ouji; it seems to be a separate fashion with little in common. dreade's coord is much closer to the ouji silhouette for me. even the GLB has used "ouji" in its desceiption of certain of Mana's looks (see >>8837877; to me, it is an example of EGA that could just as well be ouji, like how some lolita coords would not look out of place in a strictly vintage, gothic, or steampunk scene).

to me, it is not so much about swan vs bird as it is dessert vs breakfast. some dishes are distinctly one or the other, and some could be either depending on the context.

but i understand that in the Western community, aristocrat is used to mean a "more serious, with a lower hemline" version of both lolita and ouji, rather than a separate but overlapping style. if dreades (who tagged his outfit as both, cause why not) called it just aristo, i would not debate it in casual conversation. i know this level of pedantry is more academic than practical.
>>
>>8840439
All of your 'aristocrat' examples are Moitie, who are only one brand that caters to this style. Atelier Boz, and others also produce clothes that we refer to as 'homme/male/masc aristocrat'. Moitie's stuff is EGA.
If you look at what Boz produce, and at Buttcape's family triangle diagram, you can see that one of the guystyle examples has long, narrow trousers. But if you look at the 'halfway' point between aristocrat and ouji, you can see that the overlapping pieces have long trousers mainly, but they have an edge of the more playful aspect of ouji, including the headwear accessories. I tell the difference by how something is accessorised, and how the overall outfit looks. There's a reason why I said that I think that dreade's outfit to me looks more like 'aristocrat' (as we've come to see it in the West), but more toned down, and isn't as full on as a lot of aristocrat outfits. The choice of footwear also helps add to that feel, combined with the lack of headwear.
It's interesting to compare how these styles are perceived and referred to in he West verses in Japan. I think if this discussion is going to continue, it might be worth moving it to the Ouji/Boystyle thread rather than keeping it here in the Lolita General.
>>
>>8840473
>I think if this discussion is going to continue, it might be worth moving it to the Ouji/Boystyle thread rather than keeping it here in the Lolita General.
happily! i am enjoying the discussion since this is something i have wrestled with and been conflicted about. i am currently samefagging the hell out of /ouG/ (and about to sleep) but i can dump a few examples of boystyle coords and how i would categorize them to kickstart discussion.

Question about nameless poem

I'm currently losing weight (I've got about 20lbs left to go) and I'm not sure which size to get. Currently my waist is 73cm, but my bust is 100cm. Should I just go for the Large and get it taken in? Or get a medium and hope that by the time I get to my gw my tits are small enough?
>>
>>8841502
Have you ever lost that much weight before as an adult and so far have you lost any from your boobs? Some people don't lose any off their boobs for like... 10kg, and even then it's only like 2-3cm, others lose it from the boobs first then their waist. If you haven't lost much from your chest chances are you are not going to get that much smaller.
>>
>>8841502
I'm just going to say that from experience, size up. I have a 90cm bust and 68cm waist, so I thought the size S would fit me because I didn't want my waist to be swimming, even if I was on the edge of the bust size, and when I got it it was TINY on me; in bust and sleeve length, to the point where I couldn't wear it at all. I sized up and got a large, which was too big on me, but it made the lengths really great and the fact that it was too large on me gave it a really billowy look that was really flattering. It's a babydoll OP, even if it doesn't appear like that in the stock photos, so take that into account as well.

If someone has a 90-95cm bust, I'd recommend the large for them. You may need a size larger than L, but for sure do not get a medium.
>>
>>8841537
Oh bummer. So far I've lost about 12cm from my bust (over the course of 62lbs lost) so perhaps they won't get much smaller. I've never been thin before so I have no idea what I'll look like.

>>8841539
This is really helpful thank you! I think it might be best to go with a large since I will probably lose another 4cm in the bust once I get this last 20lbs off
>>
>>8841448
its ok anon, /cgl/ has had a massive influx of newfags lately. I'm not sure where we got linked but the aggressive newfaggotry has been quite impressive recently.

>>
>>8841559
Yeah, if you lose another 4-5cm then the large would fit really great! With that dress it's really better to go a few cm under the max bust, so you should be good, even if you just use a really good bra with it at your current size.

Anons, is it better to sell something from the US while I'm here or wait until I move within this month to France and sell it. I have space in my stuff to bring it. "I think the lack of women in color in lolita is really sad.

I think it's more tragic that so many lolitas bend over backwards to justify the racism and colorism rampant in the fashion. It's not okay because it's a Japanese fashion (there are dark-skinned natives in Japan who face horrible oppression). It's not okay because white girls face "oppression" too (you're a literal fool if you think a few critical comments on your coord are the same as people calling you a nigger who doesn't belong in the fashion because your ancestors were slaves). It's not okay because there are WoC blogging on Tumblr (especially because we STILL get shit on no matter what we do). And it's especially not okay just because a few Uncle Toms pop up in every discussion of racism to say that they personally have never felt oppressed, so everyone else is wrong.

Lolita is an awesome fashion, and I think it's really pathetic that some people try to play gatekeepers by excluding people from full participation in the fashion, or by discouraging people from participating in the fashion through harassment and insults, based on the color of their skin."
>>

TL;DR:

>Why aren't there more POCs in the lolita industry?
>You mean Japanese people don't count?
>Well, I mean African American people specifically.
>What about [indie brands], which are American and run by POC?
>Well, I mean in Japan/Kera/the GLB
>Japan is mostly Japanese, why would they do that?
>THEY USE WHITE GIRLS! COLONIALISM! OPPRESSION! JAPAN IS RACIST!
>etc. etc. etc.

Basically the same damned circular discussion that happens when someone brings up a wish for more non-white lolitas in Japanese lolita ads.

Well she's known for greatly exaggerating the truth (i.e. how long she's be in lolita, the Maikodolly situation) so it's probably more like a police officer brushed against her and a man cat called her on the street >>8842219

Heart E doesn't really have a fanbase to pull buyers in with. You could probably still move it if you list it at like USD30, tops USD50. Take good photos, including preferably a cute coord photo so girls can see how cute it can be. I don't know if that's "worth listing" for you.

>>8842070
She has done this before if anyone else remembers.. Same, "I need to see "poc" in lolita because i don't know if my skin will go with the clothes." crap. undertones are where it's at, seeing someone with dark skin looking good in a dress doesn't mean it will look good on you. The people complaining about foundation are right, there isn't only one dark skin tone and it's kind of inappropriate of her to imply that therr is only one like this...
>>
My friend and I swapped dresses, but for some reason, my deodorant failed to work and now her dress smells bad in the underarm areas. I feel so terrible! I haven't had this problem before. I have two weeks to give it back and I want to know if there's a way to spot clean it or just clean it in general. It's an unprinted bodyline dress. Do I handwash it in cold water? Would that be safe?
>>
>>8842417
It's Bodyline and unprinted you will be fine to machine wash. if you are still worried, machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle inside a lingerie bag and you will be fine. Honestly I wash all my brand solids like this (MM,VM,IW) have never had a problem.
>>
>>8842070
This makes me want to vomit t b h.
Acting like Japanese brands have to cater to you as a black women (because clearly lighter skinned Asians aren't real "POC") when their country and probably over 90% over their market is white or East-Asian, is fucking ridiculous. Brands have no real incentive and no obligation to use darker skinned people; race politics are a totally different game in places like Japan, Korea, and China; and you acting like everything should cater to your Western idea of racism and oppression is only pointing out how ignorant and ego/Western-centric you are.
The shitty thing is some of these people are the same people who will scream about cultural appropriation.
Honestly lolita has made me dislike a lot of people for discussions like this.

This is such a tired argument. Most racist idiots are definitely NOT thinking of that when being racist.
When are people gonna realize that it's just hatred.
I've had to deal with racism my whole life. It's not because a long time ago some people came into my home country and oppressed my people. It's because people see my face, notice I'm not white, and they don't like that.
That's literally what racism is every single fucking time.

I wish people would get their head out the past god damn

A little bit of offtopic

As POC do ypu think that Oscar is racist because there are no POC in their list of actors or do you think that POC should play better?
>>
>>8842588

As another "PoC", the oscars are a goddamn sham where famous actors go and jerk each other off.

The fact we're giving this any lip service only gives credence to them as having any credibility when really it's all about whatever the fuck goes on in their head that year.

I mean, fuck, most of the time the people nominating best animated awards haven't even watched 80-90% of them.

It's an arbitrary awards ceremony set up by an arbitrary committee and should never be used as a measuring stick of how any one diverse group perform, especially 'PoC' who if I recall are much more diverse in their skillsets than you imply.

Also, stop using that term. I'm Asian, but I don't think you meant me when you meant 'PoC.' I'm sick of simultaneously getting lumped in and then having my issues disregarded in the sea of black issues. I don't want your bullshit.

I've owned and sold enough bodyline Dresses and blouses to know how the quality will turn out. Not milanoo-tier but lacemonster-y enough to never consider it lolita. But lolita Fashion is so quality driven, it's completely okay for goth. My in-laws wear goth and they'd be all over this.

>>8842904
Do not wash velvet pieces in the machine, it'll ruin them. When I was 18, I put my favourite vintage velvet coat into my washing machine at 30 and it was ruined. Never again, just don't risk it.
>>
>>8842904
Not sure what the circumstances are, but it's generally unnecessary to wash the entire dress and instead addressing spots like the under arms with a soak mixed with woolite should do you just fine. Velvet is usually cotton based, just handle it with care, don't wring it out, place it between towels and press.

Estonia - we were bitches for Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Russia and Poland. the commonly used term is serfdom but same shit, until the 1800s we were literally owned by our landlords and every girl's virginity was claimed by them

I know this question gets repeated all the time, but it never gets much of a satisfactory answer - is MLT legit or not for pettis? she gets recommended all the time but the fact that literally all of her feedback on her page is 5/5 and her prices are so low makes me kinda nervous
>>
>>8842101
Why do people like this act like there needs to be a bare minimum of a race? Why do we have to convert black people to liking lolita if they like some other fashion? There's plenty of good black lolitas and other races in lolita fashion, so Wonderfinch can shove it up her ass.

If you wanted to get technical about it, whites and blacks are both minorities in lolita fashion compared to asians. What does being a minority in lolita even mean? It affects literally nothing, other than you don't see as many photos of your race. I've literally never seen racism in lolita as it's a pretty global fashion now.

I used to have a shred of respect for Wonderfinch, but it looks like she drinks plentifully from SJW kool-aid, using amusing terms like "WoC" and "Uncle Toms" unironically in her sperging. Her projection gives a lot of milk, though.
>>
i know there are better places to ask, but i want to get some input from fellow lolitas.. how do you guys deal with with your salty feelings in the fashion?

the fashion used to make me happy, but recently a good lolita friend has gone super efame hungry and it's starting to make me bitter towards the fashion.

advice is appreciated, thanks gulls.
>>
>>8843109
Why would your friend's actions change how you feel about the fashion? Not questioning you or your feelings, just trying to understand.
>>
>>8843118
not to blog, but i guess the fashion was always fun and we had fun together participating. but now she's so focused on efame and being popular, it feels like the fashion changed her for the worse?

i almost want to say this is something that happens often, but maybe i'm biased because of my own situation.

What kind of features should I be looking for in a lolita appropriate blazer?
>>
>>8843055
The dress has to be cleaned properly. It smells like it was drained in sweat, like it was worn on a hot summer day and the person moved a lot and didn't use deodorant or something. If it were just the armpits, I'd try to spot clean it. But I'd still feel disgusted wearing it.
I guess there is no way around the dry cleaners then.
>>
>>8843174
Eww okay no, I would get that shit dry cleaned asap.

I bought a dress that turned out to be missing some parts (wasn't mentioned in the listing) and when I brought it up with the seller, I was met with a "it's not my fault attitude". I've asked for a very small partial refund and haven't heard anything back. What do?
>>
>>8843169
You're looking for a smart tailored fit that comes up high on the waist, between your natural waist and hip that doesn't dampen the poof of your petti. If you find something a little loose you can anyways have it tailored but something like shoulder width is much more tricky and costly.
>>
>>8843185
Was this listing on LM or LSE? And did the photos show said missing parts? I know you said it "wasn't mentioned", but what about the "proof" photos?

If the photos showed the missing pieces, and they weren't sent, they're at fault. If the photos didn't show the missing pieces, you're sadly probably SOL for not having asked/noticed at the time I'm afraid.

LSE mods seem more sympathetic to these things than LM though, which is why I asked where the listing was.
>>
>>8843060
All of those reviews on FB are legit. I bought a petti from her too and I absolutely love it. I recommend hard tulle for maximum poof.
