Radisson contains Con suite, maid cafe, E-gaming, Tabletop gaming, Manga Lounge, Prize room, and a few panel rooms as well. Odds are it'll still receive decent traffic especially with it being across the street. I'd also assume photoshoots will take place in and around the area.

I've slept in my car for cons before. My LA Fitness membership gave me a nice warm shower and changing room in most major cities.
I know that some people have been cited for sleeping in their cars during a con though (in a place that they've paid overnight parking for).

are any of the hotels connected to the convention? I'm in the double tree. If not it seems to only be a minutes walk or so.

Yep. Looks like they have a swimming area/water slide too. It's extra. Might be nice if the weather is warm enough. The 10 day forecast says it's suppose to rain, but the days before are suppose to be in the 70's so we'll see how it goes.

Pedestrian traffic, it costs $3 per person, $10 to park your car. I think it's a good alternative for anybody who doesn't want to be stuck getting photos just at the con center.

Hope to meet some of you gulls this con, I'm usually pretty 'spergy and stick to my friend group but if there's a meet I'll try to sneak away

What're some quick groundrules/safety tips/suggestions you have for someone going to this as their first con?

I'm not really into the whole cosplay thing exactly as I try and keep my powerlevel (which is pretty low) hidden, but this girl wants someone to go with after she got in a fight with her usual con friends and I'm the only guy she knows who can alter stuff and has watched JoJo.

Basically I have no idea what I'm getting into and while I assume it's all realitively normal for weeb stuff all she keeps telling me is to bring some booze and to fasten my wallet to my person.

Con center, yes. At the door, on the sides, through the service entrance around back, they'll even do an anal cavity search if you claim you stuck it up there!

Is there an easy to access pool that anyone knows of in the new location? I'd always bring a swimsuit cosplay for some pool photos to ALA, and it feels kinda weird not doing so this time. I'm in one of the overflow hotels, so that hotel pool is always an option for photos, but I was curious if there's one everyone will just be hanging out at this year like old times.

I'm filling it with automotive body fill, sanded and sprayed it yesterday. Not going to look as good as I hoped, but it doesn't look that bad now. Definitely better than before, but not as smooth as I wanted it to be.

The 3DHub shop I was using was a fucking 9 year old kid on the phone, not sure if he or his father was the one actually running the machine though. Definitely not going to be using that shop again, but they did try pretty hard to get it right, ran it three times.

If you drive up to the street Foothill which is Rancho Cucumonga, there's a AYCA kbbq called Gen Korean BBQ but you gotta drive about 10 minutes to get to it.

There's also an Apple Bee's in that same street so for anyone who is looking for food, on just the street Foothill, there's Apple Bee', Chili's, Dennys, Boston Market, Gen Kbbq, Popeye's, Panera Bread, and a few more places and there's some food restaurants in Victoria Garden. Also on that same street, there's a Target and Bevmo.

Idk if that Gen got it's shit together but I went there last year when it first opened and it was an absolute trainwreck. We waited like 2 hours for our food and they didn't even have all the meats that they usually offer at the other locations. It's possible it was just growing pains but I would maybe Yelp recent reviews before going there.

There's actually a Hancock's fabric there too. The Michael's and Hancock's are almost right next door to each other. Just with a sushi place between them.

I really recommend people try Handel's. They're one of my favorite ice cream chains. There's a Duncan donuts there too.

There's also another ayce kbbq place that opened kinda recently on foothill as well. Place is called ugrill. It's also on foothill but assuming you're coming from the convention center you turn right on foothill and it'll be on your left right after the underpass of the 15 freeway. The place is a bit smaller and you get good service. They have two dinner menus so you can save like 3 bucks if all you ever eat is the basics anyway.
