Other people have used them in outfits for pirate styling, and they've come out okay. For this, I feel like she'd have to go super over the top for them to work, and have them in the red colourway instead of the black.

Ita means a coord is horrible. You can follow most of the lolita rules and still look awful. There are also some coords that have the lolita tag and while they aren't lolita it doesn't mean they are ita, just that they suck at words.
