Let's talk about Lolita and Jfashion youtubers, the helpful, entertaining, cringey, whatever. I need more to watch.
>>
...
>>
Confused as to why this thread is dead?
>>
Uhh... don't know why this thread hasn't gone anywhere, but I really like princessmei. She's really cute, and nerdy enough to where she's relatable.
>>
props to LostPrinceMar for being the only consistent ouji blogger with worthwhile things to say. needs work on pacing though.
>>
Not a lolita, but wear jfashion. Wondering if people want to see beauty guru type of videos, but leaning to jfashion/lolita stuff.
>>
>>8733776
I would love this if you actually know how to do makeup. We need larme makeup tutorials that don't suck/are actually larme.
>>
>>8733778
Haven't tried larme makeup, I normally just do a light natural look if I wear the fashion, otherwise I can do gyaru/himekaji makeup?
>>
>>8733787
Himekaji makeup is good. Also can you do some western makeup looks that work with lolita? I'm not a huge fan of how Asian makeup trends look on my face.
>>
>>8733797
Ofcourse! I'm western and find it fairly hard to follow asian makeup tutorials in magazines and stuff. What other type of videos would be good? I was thinking of filming a "whats in my bag video" with a cute jfashion type bag, just to introduce the channel. I love the usual beauty guru tags and wanna see something with a jfashion twist.
>>
>>8733822
I love what's in my bag videos. They show a bit more of your personality than just makeup tutorials. I also like product reviews and hauls. If you're good at hair, I think the Internet needs more jfashion hair tutorials, too.
>>
>>8733687
ehhh...I like her too but I'd be wary of her makeup tutorials as she likes the After Effects.
can be seen here in the first few seconds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omTVsz7xu2U
>>
>>8733764
yeah but i think all starting out vloggers have that issue.
though honestly Mar is one of my favorite ouji vloggers.
>>
>>8733838
See how?
>>
Even if they both have done some fairy cringey things I actually like Pixielocks and Princess Peculiar's videos. They're not lolita related anymore but more just general j-fashion.

>>
>>8735731
How does she look so old? She looks 30
>>
>>8735783
Arched eyebrows make you look way older than you actually are (in most cases)
>>
>>8735751
That ita goldmine tho
>>
>>8735783
Harsh eye makeup + dark eyebrows + that blush.
I know people love to shit on her, but I actually really liked her Jfash unboxings and everything, too bad she's transitioning into whatever this is.
>>
>>8736460
Agreed I actually liked her alot her videos weren't very useful but she seemed sweet and cute.

>>
I would love to see some Ouji vloggers/youtubers as well! Two have already been mentioned but if anyone has any other recommendations I'm all ears.
>>
Idk if this is exactly youtube since it's more streamed with youtube mirrors, but is Kawaii International always this cringey? I'm watching it right now and they were showing some super weeby visual kei fashionwalk in Romania, and now they're giving tips on how to make yourself look as fake as possible in your selfies...
>>
>>8735731
pixielocks is 17? How the hell is she so bloated?
>>
>>8739075
I had to stop watching after Misha or whatever her name is became the narrator and couldn't stop sounding like a tweaked out crackhead on helium.
>>
>>8739093
urgh i mean loaded
>>
>>8739062
This belongs in the cringe thread.

>this entire video
>>
>>8739075
Where are you streaming it? I'm looking for episode 36 because it features Abilletage and Chantegram and I haven't been able to find.
>>
>>8739094
She's extremely weeb-that-lucked-out. How do they find these girls? I found the episode particularly funny with how the fashion app creators they interviewed talked about how people like it because it showed 'real people in real daily, minimalist outfits', meanwhile Misha is nodding along while wearing some ridiculous ~harajuku girl~ looking mess. I doubt she can even properly jfash.

>>8739904
I was watching it live on nhk world, I don't know if they have it on-demand.
>>
Tips to new youtubers? I want to get useful content out there. Also, how to put your channel out there for people to find? Would it be shameful to self-promote during outfit posts on cof? For example
>>
>>8740045
Rufflechat has a dedicated thread for promoting videos/channels.

as for tips, please work on presentation and pacing. nobody wants to watch a 20-minite ramble.
>>
>>8739062
>Haimi-gyeara
>living doll style
>>
>>8740074
I didn't know that, thanks anon! And I think my pacing is really good, and my editing has gotten much better, I make sure to cut out as much rambling as possible and make my videos and music flow. Material is what I need to improve now
>>
>>8740098
for material, do you go to events? often, lolita vloggers only focus on the spotlight events at cons and big gatherings. for example, the fashion show gets plenty of (often awkward) coverage, but nobody does interviews or coord shots with the attendees themselves.

also, do not aim a selfie stick at your face while you walk around and talk. i have seen a few vloggers do this and it was so boring. i actually got pissed at a RuffleCob vlogger who recorded herself going up and down stairs, huffing and puffing, and got no real footage of the con.
>>
>>8740230
I only go to those about twice a year, but that'd be neat! It's a different spin on the typical tea party video, thanks anon
>>
>>8740045
I have a YouTube channel and a couple of things that might help that I've learned for the almost 3 years I've been doing it are:

>the title of your video is the most important in terms of what shows up when people search for videos, tags are almost meaningless
>a good thumbnail is EVERYTHING
>720p or higher for video quality, anything below is unacceptable
>a good mic is also essential, a snowball works for most beginners

If you have any questions feel free to ask
>>
>>8740469
Thank you so much anon, I feel that I have those all down, I'd share my channel on here in order to ask for feedback but idk if I want to be associated with 4chan. Do you have any other tips content wise? Or anything really, it all helps
>>
>>8740519
It's good to upload consistently, I'd say twice a month at least and if you can manage it try for once a week. Videos should be around 5-8 minutes long but can go longer or shorter depending on the content. Get decent lighting or try to record in natural light if possible. I'm not sure what editing software you have but Sony Vegas or Adobe are pretty standard.

Content wise, think about the types of videos you'd like to do and then look up other people doing the same. You don't want to copy their videos obviously, but see what videos of theirs are most well received and why they are well received. Once you do make your videos, maybe attempt making gifs of them and posting them to tumblr. That way people can see what you're doing without having to watch the whole video, and as a result are more likely to watch it then if you uploaded a link.

Oh another tip, put your channel name at the end (or beginning, up to you) of your video titles. If you do that, then all the recommended videos in the side bar should be yours. That way when someone is done watching that video, it's more likely they'll click on another of yours and not somebody else's. YouTube calculates how often to advertise your videos based on a person's total watch session. You want to maximize that session as much as possible.

If you do get popular, don't jump on the first MCN to offer you a deal. Some of them are really crappy and can screw you over. I got stuck in a long term contract because I was naive. Be careful and shop around.
>>
>>8740564
That's great advice anon, thanks. I feel that tutorial videos pull people in toward your channel more but I have no idea how I could set up for that. For makeup and hair anyway.

The gif idea is great and I'll definitely be doing that.same with the title, now a lot of youtubers video titles make sense.

Also what is an MCN?
>>
>>8740573
MCN stands for Multi Channel Network. Basically what they do is sign you on for a contract and help you get ad revenue on your videos.

Anyone can become a regular YouTube partner through their adsense program, but that only gets you 30-40 percent of money from ads. MCNs get you more. My old one got me 70, but my new one gets me 80.

They vary in quality, so it's important to do your research before you sign the contract. My old one never did anything for me, it was clear they didn't care. My new one is amazing. I have a contact at the network that I can message if I'm having troubles, usually with copyright. They also provide a network-only resource of royalty free music, and if I want to collab with another YouTuber and they happen to be on the same network as me, they can help establish a connection.

You'll start getting offers once you average 19k views a month (I don't know why that's the magic number but it is) so you've got a long way to go. But it's something to keep in mind.
>>
>>8740606
you know so much anon, all this partnership stuff is new to me and seems complicated but im sure ill get it down eventually. thanks again.
also i hope you don't mind me asking, but what kind of channel do you run? which of your videos tend to be most successful?
>>
>>8739168
Loaded as in rich? Probably she just has rich parents.

Relating to this thread, kawaiipateen's channel has some okay content. For a while they were doing street-snap compilation vids based around colors and styles that I really liked.
>>
>>8740626
I mostly talk about anime on my channel. To be quite honest my most successful videos tend to be ones that have taken a popular type of video and then put my own twist on it. I'll give you an example idea. People love the "_____ React" videos right? You could get a bunch of people together and have them react to pictures of lolita, or possibly even a scene from Kamikaze Girls. Popular concept + personal twist = lots of positive reception.
>>
>>8740634
Anon I love you. Haha this advice is golden! Thanks tons
>>
>>8740640
I don't always post on /cgl/, but when I do, I make sure it's something I'm confident as fuck in.

>stay salty my friends
>>
more content suggestions:

Lolita News! a weekly segment where you wear a decent coord and present events of the lolita/jfash world. if you talk about an event or release, put link to more info in the description.
>>
>>8740230
The problem with this, is that most fashion shows the models don't come out afterwards. They just go to the back so you don't get a chance for an interview!
>>
>>8742990
ooo i dig this
>>
>>8739062
>being a living doll comes more naturally
>>
>>8742990
This would be so cute, I wish we could have a snapchat sort of channel for this where people could submit short videos all over the world. Maybe an instagram tag would work?
Although it would need to be kept light like 'Today there's a book fair in my town!' rather than 'Look, my city has been blown up my terrorists, do you like my new Chess Emblem set?'.
>>
>>8740045
Good luck anon. I've thought of doing it too but I am a fatty who sounds like she's 7 so I don't need to invite that negativity into my life.
>>
I wish someone could do a video going over the basics of lolita and just explaining the fashion in general to newfags. There are a couple but they're awful and it would be nice to have a video to link people to when they ask dumb questions, seeing as most are too lazy to read blog posts.
>>
>>8745493
thanks anon! if youre self conscious of your image there are plenty of options you could do ot not show your face: speepaintings (dont need voiceover), gaming, showing unboxings and more

>>8745559
i felt like this was overdone but i guess i'll give it a shot to make my own version then!
>>
>>8744726
the attendees, not the models.
>>
Is background music essential? Also, anyone got any good cosplay channels? Most of those posted seems to be lolita, though to be honest I didn't go through all of them.
>>
>>8745880
>Lolita/jfash YouTube thread
>R THERE ANY COSPLAY YOUTUBES HERP DERP
>>
>>8745892
It's a mixed board, and there's a fair bit of overlap in the community outside of cgl as well. Do you want me to start a new thread, or what?
>>
>>8745909
Yes. When I go to a thread about fashion I don't want to look at your dumb costumes.
>>
>>8745912
Good thing there are fashion tutorials. Sadly not much can help a piss poor attitude.
But hey at the very least you can be a pretty frigid bitch.
>>
This is why I wish they'd divide the board. I love both Lolita and Cosplay, but there is always someone on either side who thinks theirs is the better and a heaven sent. Get over yourselves. You're already on /CGL/ so none of us have class.
>>
>>8745912
Ah yes, let me just start a new thread SOLELY for cosplay youtubers, push some other lolita thread off and have fifteen peopel get their underwear in a twist because THERE'S A PERFECTLY FINE THREAD RIGHT THERE FOR YOU TO POST IN. Amazing solution.
We've a shared space, aight? Maybe try and act civil about it and help me out instead. You don't got to watch cosplayers if you don't want to, senpai. Just ignore it.
>>
>>8745880
Hi, >>8740469 here, in my experience background music is essential, especially for newbies who aren't good at editing yet. Having music playing in the back makes any moments of silence you forget to edit out less awkward. Once you become better at taking those out, it becomes less of an issue, but still a good idea anyway, just to be safe. Also make sure you find royalty free music or YouTube will fuck you up. That or change the pitch of the song you want to use.
>>
>>8745936
>You're already on /CGL/ so none of us have class

I love you anon
>>
I guess this is kind of super specific to ask you, but I have been toying with the idea of starting my own jfashion YouTube channel for a couple of years now. I have a jfashion tumblr and I've finally reached 5k follows so I think it may be worth in now... But what are the odds of a considerable number of them following me over to YouTube even with cross posting? Like if have to get a camera and mic (I have the lighting equipment and editing software), and idk of its worth it
>>
>>8746378
Better odds than if you operated on FB. But not amazing.
>>
>>8746378
If you do the thing I mentioned here >>8740564
where you make gifs of your videos and post them to tumblr you have a better chance. You'll need a good DSLR for video though and that's an investment to consider.
>>
>>8746378
from my experience only a few will follow you, but you really just need to know how to promote yourself: take really good photos with amazing lighting. and that will help you that much more. i am personally straying away from tumblr and going into yourube more since well, there are real benefits for your hardwork as in contrast to tumblr
>>
>>8746470
I figured as much.

>>8746526
With the dslr i would be able to use it for other stuff or sell it and get some money back on it if I ended up never using it.

>>8746583
That's why I want to move away from tumblr too. It's like I spent 4-5 years of working constantly on my blog content and I'm not seeing any fruits of my labor. And it would be nice to have that. It's part of the reason why my not personal tumblr has been so dead lately.

Also, she have a dead expresion
>>
>>8749111
You must be 10 or very very late
>>
>>8742990
I was thinking about something like this. I'd definitely get a kick out of a weekly lolita segment talking about lolita news and releases/things coming up and the anchors reaction. I imagine it would take a lot of work keeping up to date with everything but it would be a labor of love. Too bad I don't have the time right now or I'd do it myself...
>>
>>8749218
very very late. I don't like Lolita or Jfashion youtubers
>>
anyone else underwhelmed with the new Deerstalker skits?
>>
>>8749651
It's pretty much the same thing over and over again since they're just taking popular videos other people make and slapping the lolita theme into it. They don't stray too far from "I wear dresses but I'm a bamf" and "wow im ordering too much but I won't stop" with their writing.
>>
>>8749651
Deerstalker needed to stop about three years ago.
>>
>>8749651
The new actors aren't as cute as MF and the other people they used
>>
Has anyone tried making videos themselves? What camera do you use to film and what programs do you use to edit?
>>
Is it bad that I really really liked this?

http://youtu.be/iFJiXh6LYZ0
>>
>>8752227
That is absolutely not what I was expecting. Got a good laugh out of me!
>>
>>8752227
Damnit I liked it too
>>
>>8752227
I liked it, too; she was amusing enough and her voice sounded good to me.
>>
I'm very disappointed with Kawaii Pateen's videos lately.
Especially all the Kathy Cat videos.

THEY'RE NOT FUNNY.
>>
>>8752227
i love this

>>8752292
theyre super awkward, plus she recently posted a photo on her instagram with the tokyo community, but all of the girls pictured werent even japanese
>>
>>8752292
I'm actually going through my Kawaii Pateen backlog right now and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of Kathy Cat? So hopefully they will be doing less of her as I agree, she's pointless.

But speaking of Kawaii Pateen, what do people think about the Shoushi videos? On the 'anime eyes' one there was a lot of negative comments. I was a bit surprised but I agree the video concept has been done a hundred times before much better by youtube gurus already, and his application is pretty messy... but I think that fits his style, so I don't know. I've liked most of the recent tutorial videos, though.

>>8752329
Well yeah, the 'Tokyo comm' as has always been known is the 'foreigners living in Japan' comm. Japanese lolitas don't do comms.
>>
>>8752406
I'm not sure if she runs the whole Youtube aspect of it herself but I've seen someone act unprofessionally in the comments as a response to negativity. They should just ignore it.

I think that video was fine as they haven't released anything like that in a while. Obviously most people aren't going to try it at home but it's still showcasing someone expressing themselves.
There's a comment on that video with quite a few likes where they were wanting Haruka Kurebayashi back but I doubt she'll be back after the reaction video she didn't agree to. There's quite a few negative things about the channel really.
>>
>>8752419
It doesn't seem like she runs it (thank god) but yeah I have seen some of the replies... They really should just not reply to a lot of those comments, or be more generic. Sure, it doesn't seem as 'real/community feel' but it'd better for their image. I hope they'll just stick to makeup/outfit rundown/backstage videos.
>>
>>8752329
see this is what people don't understand - because lolita fashion is so 'mainstream' (ie you can just go to the shop) in Japan, it's just groups of ACTUAL friends hanging out and wearing it, not forced together 'comms'
>>
>>8752424
thats probably why we dont hear as much drama from them then
>>
>>8739062
>Video has been removed.
I guess they saw this thread
>>
I really dislike how all the lolita channels I find are all unboxing/haul, makeup tutorials, hair tutorials, about me! videos. It's the same crap over and over, who is watching it. A lot of my favorite YouTube channels switched to crowd pleasers like boyfriend tag, q&a, it just gets so old.

I just want at least one with something useful or interesting to say.
>>
>>8752406
I really enjoy Shoushi as a person, but that one video was horrid. I wish he'd do more... normal make up styles? The over the top stuff is so cringey. Same with Ayutama, I really like her as a person but I absolutely hate that makeup style, her application is so dirty too..
>>
Speaking of Kawaii Pateen, does anyone else hate the Misako videos? They are just so... forced.
>>
>>8752733
That's pretty much all that will bring in views if you're not already popular. People are going to find you by looking up a tutorial or dress and then hopefully they'll like you from there.
You usually see people in these threads who want to be more creative or useful and ask for advice but I'm not sure what else can be done which is interesting for lolita while also being something refreshing.

>>8752999
Definitely doesn't suit the theme of the channel and they make her quite unlikable.
>>
>>8752999
The most embarrassing behavior ones are hilarious
>>
>>8733838
Wow she fucked the luminance/noise reduction to the max it makes for smoother skin, but ruins sharpness giving the video a semi out of focus plasticy feel.
>>
>>8752227
My first reaction was "what the fuck" when the host came up, but she was actually funny and seems to know her stuff. I like it.
>>
>>8753005
But why are all the tutorials the same? Everyone focuses on doing basic beginner crap, but what about the many who are past that point? Many of us are no longer beginners.
I get that it's easy views, but come on. Contribute something to the community. There are so many talented people out there, but even they post basic tutorials. I just want to watch complex wig making, adding hairpieces to your hairstyles, complex sewing videos, making of crazy accessories, detail shots of dresses, lesser known Indie brand recommendations/reviews. If you're good at writing, make up stories and do crappy illustration videos (this has hilarity potential). If you're good at drawing, pair up with a writer to make even better videos. If you're good at talking and are charismatic, cover events, interview people, or like above anon said, do weekly news. If you're good with the fashion history, make videos based around that educating beginners and experienced about the fashion in the past. If you're good at math, make videos about finding the optimal ratio of poof based on height/weight, finding the best amount of skin to show ratio for each substyle, the optimal dress length for different heights, etc. There is so much that can be done, but isn't.
>>
>>8753305
I felt the same way too anon. My first impression of her was just uh oh but 30 seconds later I was rolling with laughter.
>>
>>8753365
Most of that just isn't going to get views or those people don't really exist in the community or they don't have time for it. For the making things you're going to find that more in cosplayer videos as lolitas buy most things they will wear, but more people should definitely be doing detail shots and recommending things.
>>
>>8754017
I disagree anon. I honestly think the internet today is more about rehashing someone elses content, rather than creating your own. I think there is the potential, just everyone wants to take the easy road to success. I don't believe that the girls currently making YouTube videos aren't talented, just that they are taking the easy road to content and so called success. If we want the community to grow, we need to step up to the plate.

I'd like to make an ouji channel and have content like vlogs, tutorials, unboxings, skits similar to deerstalker, pretty much whatever people want to see.

I'm a professional (technically) film/tv actor so I should be able to come up with a compelling personality, have access to a wealth of resources, and decent knowledge of cinematography.

I don't know of many ouji channels, especially male ones, but I'm not sure if that's just because there are few of us with the resources or the demand is just too low to bother.
>>

i feel like the demand is higher than the available content. however, the one consistent ouji vlogger i follow only gets a couple hundred views on a good video, it seems.

i think we have crossed paths in /ouG/ before and if you are who i think you are, i anticipate you can get a decent following if your video skills are as you claim. would love to see more ouji stuff, especially skits and new release unboxings!

The seagull with popcorn and "fatty-chan" written on it made me laugh really loud. Damn, she knows her stuff.
>>
I've never heard Nekopocky DESS being mentioned her, I think her videos were pretty funny. No new content for a long time though.

I'm guessing you're quite new.
>>
>>8755427
Actually I've been browsing /cgl since 2006, but with breaks. Maybe I just missed out, but I never saw her discussed here.
>>
>>8755445
She is/was a gull, and posted a lot on here for a few months while her channel was starting up. People ended up getting pissed and things just started to fall apart, the details are a bit hazy in my memory. There was some drama surrounding her too, I think.
>>
>>8752227
Is that her in the thumbnail because holy fuck is that some contrasting lolita/casualwear style.
>>
>>8752227
great video. her others are good too.
>>
>>8755505
Thanks for filling me in. I only know that there was drama surrounding that one girl (Crystal-chan?) who commented on the video I linked above and as far as I can tell the ensuing argument made her delete her youtube account.

She was confirmed to be faking the whole persona.

Could I get some advice?
I've been wanting to start a channel for awhile now but I have a wide range of things I want to make videos on - Lolita, cosplay, conventions, tutorials, exercise health and wellbeing, money habits, art.
I am not sure if having a really wide variaty will hurt me or help me.
Pros:
Wide variaty, appeals to other people with multiple interests, more videos on one channel
Cons:
People will not subscribe because some of the videos are not in their interests, no target audience

I could just start multiple channels for the different interests. The problem there is that there would be less regular uploads.
>>
>>8755859
I think it's fine to have a channel with different topics because, yes you will cater to a larger audience due to diversity in content.
Just make an entry video that states that your channel won't just be about one single topic and do your best in every video you make. Also, upload at least once a week to keep people interested and draw in new ones, people like it when channels stay updated.

Basically people just got sick of her. She's the sort of person who likes to stir shit and has been doing it for years. Best to just ignore
>>
I used to actively post on youtube, and had a small following, but I figured I would share what I learned.
Having a channel that covers a wide range of subjects is good in terms of gaining subscribers, but not necessarily view count. If people are subscribing for one content area they are far less likely to watch any videos that are outside that topic, which means even if you have a fair amount of subs that doesn't mean you're getting views.
My most popular videos have been tutorials, reviews, and package openings, but I almost never gained subscriptions from them. A lot of viewers will watch/bookmark the tutorial or review they need, then never come back to your videos. This is where having an interesting personality comes into play. I'm a pretty dull person desu, but I know if I find someone whose made a good tutorial and seems interesting I'll totally watch more.
Cosplayers love tutorials, so if you know any tips or tricks that aren't online bread and butter they will eat it up. Be sure that the video is clean, clear, and simple. Don't feel the need to include your face/any vlogging in the tutorial because that will bore the viewer and take away from the subject. Use voice over narration, and consider putting your script in the video description (always list the supplies they need) so people can read along. People always will ask stupid questions. Be patient with them.

I feel as though a video like this would be more interesting if she had edited it better. More videos like this might be fun to watch

It's cringe worthy regardless
>>
>>8756102
It's hilarious!
>>
>>8754097
I think that if they're entertaining enough you'll get views not only from oujis but also from lolitas, specially if you have nice coords and style. Do you have a blog or something that can attract followers before start making videos?
>>

Well that's a new low. She replicated their most recent popular video but the makeup application is atrocious. Its been up for 40 minutes with a 25% dislike ratio and there's already a black face comment.
>>
>>8758175
Oh god. It's so splotchy.

DO THESE PEOPLE EVEN KNOW WHAT KURO GYARU IS

WHY IS IT OK FOR JAPANESE TO DO IT BUT WHEN A WHITEY DOES IT IT'S SUDDENLY FUCKING SACRILEGE

I swear there's a video already just like this but with taobao dresses too. I saw it a few months ago I believe.

Although someone could do this with classic or gothic dresses. Perhaps even compare differences between brands.
>>
Would any lolitas be interested in a sort of 'evolution' channel? I've only been into lolita about a year and am constantly learning new things, still experiencing the joy of getting new dresses, and struggling to win out on blood bath releases. I've thought about doing a channel that's more about learning lolita, learning how to balance it with my daily life, and vlogging about good and bad experiences that come with growing in this fashion.

If you're interested in doing it, just do it. I'd be interested in anything that isn't unboxings and lolita 101.
>>
>>8758468
There are black face comments on the original tutorial too.
>>
>>8759758
I def see it too

I really want to start a mainly lolita based YT channel, my problem is where to start and choose which content to amke. As I feel like a lot of stuff has already been done too many times or really well covered by others; like how to start lolita, confidence in the fashion etc. So if you were to choose what kind of lolita content you would rather watch, what would it be? I would be happy to get some input from different people before creating the videos. I want my channel to be mainly a lolita and crafting/DIY/make-up channel with other stuff included whenever I feel like it/gets requests for it.
>>
>>8735675
Yumi king is really talented at sewing thats why I follow her. Sad thing is that the most of her stuff is super ita with cheap lace and looks more ugu kawaii cosplay lolita than actual lolita.
>>
>>8734388
I like pixielock waaay more now that she isnt in lolita actually. I found her to be super cringey and had a ot of arrogance while in lolita. I think she has grown more humble when she switched up her fashion game.

she may be nice but she sucks
>>
>>8754130
That might have been me, I've posted there quite a bit but have been laying low for awhile.

I think ideally I would find some form of content I could deliver in 2~ minute videos. Vlogging sounds difficult, I feel a bit shy of it for some reason.

>>8756142
No, I'm not very interesting so I don't have much in the way of tumblr followers or anything. I could pretend to be interesting for a couple minutes and record it though. If I do a good job it should spread through the small ouji community without much need for advertising, ideally.

This is a long off idea, though. I'd like to build up a more versatile wardrobe before making a video that implies I know what I'm talking about.
>>
>>8760929
I thought she was fine as a lolita. She's such a cringey fashion faux pas now I may have to unsubscribe.

>Pom Pom Sally (newer channel):
More love for this girl, I think she's great.

I watch these smallish channels too, for better or worse:

NotYourLolita:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpEDq3TtWjKw4Y2HgclwXeA/videos

Jessie Gretebeck
https://www.youtube.com/user/jessiedressesup/videos

Also, I really like this girl, even though she says she's Lolita but she really talks more about J-fashion in general, I guess:

the nancinator
https://www.youtube.com/user/nancinator03

But if you click on only one new vlog this year, make it Pom Pom Sally. I think she's really sweet, and actually talks about, you know, Lolita fashion, instead of drama, or making skits, etc (though that's all fun too.)
>>
>>8762083
Person you replied to, I agree, she's adorable! I'm always hunting for new lolita channels, there are so many. Too bad a lot aren't active anymore.

As far as I'm aware she's mostly unknown apart from that one open letter to Girlyhoot she wrote a while ago.
>>
>>8762218
Check out incompetech, or do what I suggested and slightly alter the pitch of another song. Upbeat anything works well, but don't choose a song where they're singing in English if you're going to be speaking over it. It'll distract from what you're saying.
>>
where do you guys get random sound effects and such for videos? Just like basic sounds like forexample: dun-dun-duuun. sounds etc
>>
>>8766421
Literally just google free sound effects and tons of websites pop up
