Speaking of. I was gonna cosplay Temmie but I'm planning on doing Alphys hopefully instead.

Neat expression for the mask! A shame that the rest of the costume is pretty sub-par looking in terms of quality.

I wish Temmie cosplayers would get really dark grey or black wigs. White or light wigs ARE. NOT. CANON.

Heyo, same anon that finished knitting a Frisk sweater about a week ago. I may have gotten bit by a knitting bug because a few days after finishing, I felt the itch to knit and next thing I now, I've got yarn for Chara haha.

>>
I want to cosplay Undyne so bad but I still don't know which would look better: shaving my head or using a bald cap.
Shaving isn't a problem but how would you attach a huge pile of wig hairs to it? To leave a bit of my own and just attach red wefts? And that ponytail should have A LOT of hair in it not just a few ones so I wonder if it's possible? Would a bald cap do a better job at keeping a huge bunch of hair in place? I have never done bald cosplay or bald cap cosplay so I have no idea which ones the best option.
>>
>>8728354
since it already got posted, I'm on this >>8726748 pic and I plan on shaving my sides completely and add a bald cap to cover the hair on the top. I've once attached wefts on my real ponytail for Kanda already and it worked really well. So I'll go that road again. Back then I seen the wefts on some kind of ribbon.

>>
>>8729045
It works just fine for the character.
She should have used thin clear bands to tie it though
>>
>>8729075
It'll put thin/bald spots around the pigtails though. And the tension of the bands always gives the pigtails bad shape/angles.

Gonna be honest. Looking at these they're pretty similar in concept, just switch the wig or the outfit.
Not a bad thing of course, but keeping Napstablook's personality in mind, I don't think a girly bot design works for him. He seems like the type who doesn't really care about a body or not. Not that I can really think of what sort of body he'd have.
Unless Alphys is a lazy daisy and reuses EX's design, then that makes sense of course.

So I was thinking something over and I could use some advice. Since Mettaton Ex appears to be the cosplay that'll be overdone the most, and I'm afraid I'll end up like the rest of the people with bad make-up over here. >>8713795

So would it be a good or bad idea to go with box Mettaton instead (of course with the legs)? I was thinking it could be a bit better and less overdone, and maybe easier to do with a cardboard box. However, my concern with this one is trying not to make it big so it isn't obtrusive at a crowded con. And I don't want it to cut off my peripheral vision. What do you guys think?
>>
>>8728439
Nope, sorry

Yeah, I imagine a robot!Napastablook to look more like an oldschool emo and not so similar to Mettaton.
>>
>>
>>8730507
I would be stoked to see one. It will block your peripheral vision, not really any way to avoid that, so it will be easier to deal with if you have a friend or a group with you to help you make your way through the con
>>
>>8730597
So...Jackson Jekyll?
>>
>>8730597
I like to think that he'd probably just wear a hoodie and jeans.
Or lay down on the floor wearing his pj's.
>>
>>
>>8725894
I wore a black wig, but my costume was so (intentionally) shitty that i'm never self posting it here.
>>
what kind of materiels would be good for a flowey prop? particularly the stem, i saw a frisk cosplayer with one where the stem wrapped around their arm, which was really cool
>>
>>8729211
I'm pretty sure most of these are just based on the napstabot tumblr hivemind headcanon.
>>
Greyskull cosplay
>>
>>8730507
Here's how a friend of mine did hers. Wanna point out that it's a Halloween costume and not an actual cosplay, so it was really last minute. Still, here's at least another idea for the front.
>>
>>8730507
Could always do Mettaton Neo. I think it's better than his Ex look, personally.
>>
>>8730878
I imagine NEO would be an absolute pain, though.

>>
>>8730862
I don't use tumblr or have seen any of the napstabot pictures in general. Googling it now though, there's some okay designs that are non-mettaton-esque. Hopefully people will try to branch out more of they attempt a Napstabot cosplay.

>>
>>8731069
I know leaf-submas on Tumblr is a primary contributor to this.

As cute as an idea it is, I don't think Napsta would take it.
>>
>>
>>8730920
Yeah, I'm not really the best with advanced stuff yet, and like I said, my biggest concern is looking like a total fuckup with the makeup.

>>8730866
Thanks for that. I was wondering one of two things to help with my vision. I either do something like that and I'll probably be able to see better, or I do something like >>8730681 and I'll look a little better. Maybe if I try making a certain few of the yellow blocks clear, and the rest solid, it'll be a good thing to do.
>>
>>
I've been wanting to cosplay Alphys, but I'm not really sure where to start? I have the labcoat picked out and the glasses. I'm not sure what to do for the wig though. My friend thinks maybe a long wig with the bangs pulled back with a clip or headband and styled to look choppy and messy and unkept? I like that idea, but I might go with a short wig instead.

And I'm obviously going for a human look, but I really want to make a tail haha. Could I get away with it if I added other small monster touches? Like claws and slight scale makeup, things like that?
>>
My Napstablook cosplay is almost done. I don't have the skills or the energy to make it, so I commissioned it.
>never commissioned anything like this
I'm really excited to see how it turns out
>>
I'm struggling with an Alphys cosplay too. I'm planning on going the foam/mascot head route. But I'm bewildered by fabric choices.

I'm hoping to keep the kind if simple, cartoonish look. So thought of doing the lower jaw and neck a lighter colour to reduce seams. But I can't think what fabric would give the best look, and if I should just accept she'll have some seams on her face.
>>
>>8731459
I think it sounds fine, not as easy-mode as a "human" cosplay but not as hard as a fursuit either.
If you can make fake volumes of Mew Mew Kissy, that'd be adorable

>>8731468
Are you doing the bot form or some interpretation of his ghost form?
>>
>>8731584
I'm doing his regular ghost form, but someone made a really nice mascot looking one instead of a sheet. I'm getting something like pic related

> I'll just wear white pants and flats

I'm trying to commission someone every week, even if it's just a sketch. I've come into a bit of money lately, and am trying to share it.
>>
>>8731459
I'm going that route for my gf''s cosplay too. The beak ended up being tricky though because it looks a bit like a duck. So I might add latex highlights going along the cheeks.

Long, messy hair turns out to look really good for Alphys too.
>>
>>8730859

Is this gonna be the new homestuck on terms of how annoying the fandom is going to become? I can feel it in my bones.
>>
>>8733362
Probably not since it was just a short game. The fandom will live for about as long as the OFF fandom I'm guessing. Maybe a little longer.
>>
>>8733362
Yeah, nah, Homestuck became a massively cancerous fandom because it was an easy series to get into, long running, had a large cast with simple designs and tons of different outfits between them. Plus the massive shipping potential with the troll romance and all trolls being canonically bisexual. It was a perfect storm for a cancerous fandom.

I agree with >>8733369 that'll be much like OFF and have somewhat of a large following, with some people cosplaying from it at cons before fading into obscurity.

Just in case anyone was thinking of using Mehron's metallic silver cream base for Mettaton... DON'T. I tried it, and even with powdering it's extremely dark, creases, and settles into pores really fast. It's a good idea in theory, but I'm ditching the metallic cream and going with plain grey.

seconding this. My first makeup test I did for Mettaton, I used a silver mehron cremestick, and shit. even with contouring and highlighting, the reflectivity of the paint just washes out everything. Is it worth trying a budget foil eyeshadow?
>>
>>8737179
I wouldn't. In my experience eyeshadows tend to set and glimmer in a way that makes you look really greasy. You're welcome to try though.
>>
I was thinking of going as Sans to Sacanime winter. I don't have much experience with mask making. I have seen people suggesting papier mache, but my only experience with it is making stuff in elementary school. Can you use papier mache to make smooth masks or is it all lumpy? Also, can you use it on a wire frame? I see a lot of people using Halloween pumpkins, but the shape of that is always way off. What other materials might work well?
>>
>>8737291
I'd try foam. May be my lack of talent with paper maché but mine always ends up lumpy.
I think of making a Papyrus mask with foam as well.

Whether or not it was a selfpost, people are always going to assume. The more you try to convince us otherwise, the worse it makes you look.

>>
>>8737526
The unfortunate thing is that Undertale's headed down the same path. I've seen a lot of people watch an LP of it and go from there. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but a lot of people aren't aware that you have to sit through the game at least twice to fully get the plot (once for Pacifist, once for Genocide, Neutral is optional but tends to happen the most often).
Otherwise you end up with people who think Frisk is in the opening.
>>
>>8737534

You cant do Pacifist without doing Neutral first.
>>
>>8737584

Hello all--
I'm putting together a Mettaton cosplay (overdone perhaps but I really really like him) and I can't decide whether to do OTT eye makeup like most people seem to do or go for a more masculine, subtle look while keeping the (apparently?) heavy eyeshadow.
What do you guys think would be better? I like more feminine looks for MTT but also think he could look great when done with a more handsome look in mind, and I don't see too many people do that.

>>8737717

Because of how round their head is, I would do a mascot head.
>>
>>8737727
Depends on your facial structure.
Strong jaw, wider features = masculine
Soft jaw, fuller lips = feminine
(those are my estimates)

I have yet to see a good masculine MTT.
>>
>>8737727
I think it would be good to reference glam make up in general and the kind of shapes and emphasis they use. Mettaton's face detailing brings to mind David Bowie's big defined make up cheekbone detailing for example.
>>
>>8737744
See the thing is my face overall is quite androgynous, sometimes people forgo pronouns altogether because they just don't know. But I'm a poor judge of my own face shape, so I think I'll try both looks, and might post them here once I do to get some feedback.

Honestly the game can be a bit tough at times, especially during the Undyne the Undying/sans battle in the Genocide run (not to mention the Genocide run is so grindy. At times it feels like a bit of a chore).
I legitimately refuse to believe that most of the people in the fandom have played even 1 run like >>8737658 has said.
I was going to complain that people are going nuts over this game but a huge percent hasn't even played it (how can you say you're a huge fan without playing it?!) but that seems to be the way with a lot of games nowadays, people will just watch lets plays and in all honesty it's depressing. If a game is hard or you're not good at it then you keep playing until you get good.
You do not experience the same feeling from watching a game as you do playing it. I cannot understand how all of these people have no desire to play the game even though they claim they love it. Makes no sense to me.
>>
I wanted to ask what everyone though of doing makeup like this for Toriel instead of a fursuit?
I was thinking of doing her for my next con, but have zero experience making fur heads. (Nor do I want to wear one in the heat.)
I kind of like what this girl has done, but I don't know if that's just because I've gotten use to the shitty cosplayers in this fandom.
>>
>>8739696
Exactly. If it's the same rehashed shit, like COD or League, I can get watching others play.
But Undertale really needs to be experienced in full and the replay value is completely worth it. Plus a lot of LPers only play it for views, not really getting into the story or various routes.
I rarely buy games but I bought this one.
>>
>>8739704
Personally I think this looks a lot better than a fursuit. To me the fursuits look way too creepy, clunky and dead-eyed for cartoonish humanoid characters like the ones in Undertale.
>>
>>8739704
The make-up is really cute. The ears are terrible and the wig is poorly trimmed, but the make-up looks good.
>>
>>8739573
he's glam rock but he's also super anime, so i guess you have that

mettaton probably owns like sixteen different pairs of legs with various shoes anyway. poor guy never had legs in either previous form, he's making up for lost time

>>8739696
i don't think the amount of people who haven't played it is that big compared to most vidya game fandoms(which always have non-players, always). it's not a long game, its a singleplayer and its only $10 on steam, and there is no content for it outside of the game itself. i imagine the amount of people who draw tf2 stuff but dont play it is much higher.
>>

Well with COD and league it's a different story because people watch those players for the competitive aspect, not necessarily the game. Undertale has a story and is a pretty detailed game so you won't get the same experience of losing/winning or feeling accomplished as you would by watching someone else play.

>>8739761
I definitely think it's higher than most. The amount of people drawing sans extremely OoC (which I would say is the majority) is staggering. I actually struggle to see accurate portrayals in fan art of this character in particular. You'll always have people making characters OoC to make them, idk, hotter or something but it really is the majority of fanartists that do it. It's very strange. It just feels like they saw other people draw him this way and they ran with it instead of playing it themselves. Not to mention a lot of people joining the fandom are not really gamers. Which isn't a bad thing but as I pointed out the difficulty can get intense (especially on the genocide run). Which is the route people are getting their OoC sans ideas from, so I really doubt most of them even fought sans.
There wasn't always people who didn't play games, though. It used to be that you had to play the game to see what happens, it was the reward. Now with streamers and lets players people are too lazy to do even that, they don't want to experience the game because it's too much effort. It's kind of depressing and again I absolutely cannot claiming to love something but never play it yourself. If you loved it you'd want to play it.
TF2 is not really comparable because it doesn't really have a story. It has shallow characters, so as much as I feel it's weird to not play the game it's not very necessary to learn about them because these characters don't have much depth and people invent their own headcanons since there's not a lot to work with. Probably why it's so popular.
>>
>>8740876
I see way too many people drawing Sans with his glowing eye, or with pointy teeth, or a wierd glowing blue tongue. I'm all for artistic expression but. . . urgh. It's easy to tell who didn't play the game/watched walkthroughs. I personally have a dislike for people who pervert Papyrus, because he's such a precious angel.

It's so much different when you play for yourself, I'm almost sad they're missing out.
>>
>>8741212
As someone who did a True Pacifist run and never played again (Flowey begging the player not to reset hurt my heart and I'd rather leave it at a happy ending), It seems to be one of those games in which it's popular to like it.
People think, hey. I don't have to experience it myself. I can just watch someone else do it and claim that I know all about it.
I had a situation where these people were talking about how much they loved specific characters -cough mettaton cough-, who you meet pretty late in the game, so when I tried to correct someone on some end game stuff there was just a chorus of "NO SPOILS I HAVEN'T PLAYED IT YET. I JUST WATCHED SOMEONE ELSE." Even at that point, if you watched someone else, then you already have been or should have been spoiled. Don't get mad at me for wanting to talk about a game that's been out for almost three months now, y'know? And you don't have to lie about even playing the game, either. Lying doesn't get you cool points.
>>
>>8741230
Yeah, I did a neutral (aka the 'I had no idea my actions would affect THIS MUCH' run) and a true pacifist run and I'm never going to be able to play it any other way. I got too attatched to the characters, killing them would destroy me inside. My brother did a blind playthrough and killed Toriel because he thought he had to, and ended up crying about it later because of something Sans said to him.

Ordinary I'm not against people watching playthroughs, but a component of the game is being held accountable for your actions/being responsible for your decisions and watching them play out in a pretty realistic way. When you watch a playthrough, even if you're invested in the game, you're witnessing someone else's choices.

Sage for rambling.
>>
>>8741212
Right?! People sexualizing both sans and papyrus is so weird to me. sans is in no way attractive and papyrus is just way too innocent, he sleeps in a race car bed ffs. But people are really hot for sans for some reason? This blue tongue garbage... I don't even know where that originated from but its everywhere. Anyway word of god said sans has no interest in that stuff and papyrus doesn't even know what it is so...
Same, but that seems to be the way with a lot of games nowadays. I don't know where this attitude of it's fine not playing the game came from but I wish it'd go away.

>>8741230
Honestly that behavior is cringe-y. Goddamn if you say you love it so much and don't wanna make a tit out of yourself, just play it... it's not that hard, man.

>>8739696
This is my explanation, since I watch Lets Plays. The last few years, I have been very busy with work, and when I come home, I take commisions and try to keep up with my social life, so that eats up all of my free time. I simply don't have the time to play any games anymore.
So I've turned to watching Lets Plays as I work on commisions. It's about the same as watching a movie to me, and I enjoy certain channels and the commentary.
I really would like to play Undertale, but I currently don't have the time, maybe in a few months when I use some vacation days I will. It's definitely not the same as playing a game on your own, but you still get to experience it in the way you experience a tv show. I've watched three seperate runs of Undertale, one who did a Neutral run first, then Pacifist, and I'm currently watching a Genocide run. I'm switching between Undertale and a Wind Waker run because I have problems focusing on something for too long.

I don't think it's very fair to diss people who watch Lets Plays, because I honestly enjoy them and find them fun. It allows me to keep up with my friends who do have the time to game, so I don't feel left out, which is honestly a very shitty feeling.

I think it is very fair to diss people who watch lets plays. You're not experiencing the game, you're watching someone else experience it. I'm sorry but if you really loved a game you'll play it. If you want to do something you will make time for it.
>you still get to experience it in the way you experience a tv show.
Video games and tv shows/movies are 2 different mediums and cannot be experienced the same way. There's a reason why the author decided to express their story through the medium of video games. They wanted you to play it, not watch it.
It's part of making a hobby a hobby, sometimes you make time for it, even if it's only an hour on the bus to work or something. I work 60 hours a week sometimes and I still regularly draw, play video games and socialize for the most part.
You're not keeping up with your friends though, you're not playing the games. How can you relate when you've never participated in the subject they're talking about?
I'm sorry but people are more than justified in saying that people should play games vs watch lets plays. If all you do is watch lets plays then you don't like video games and you can't claim to be a real fan of them. Sorry. It's like me listening to someone tell me the plot of the Harry Potter books and me saying I love reading Harry Potter. It's a totally different experience.
Watch lets plays all you want but don't try to justify it or say people are being to harsh when they criticize you for doing so because you just sound silly.
>>
>>8741230
Three months is not a long time for a game to be out, anon. Just stick to talking about spoilers with friends you know have played.
>>
>>8741347
It's pretty long for a 3-4 hour game.

If it was something like Witcher 3 which is 40+ hours, then it wouldn't be too long.
>>
>>8741291
i thought grillby was a really.. questionable alphys for a moment holy fuck
>>
>>8741346
Not that anon, but it's understandable for someone who works two jobs to not have time. I've had to do it for rent before and it sucked. All of your free time you just want to lay on the couch and die of exhaustion or you're catching up with friends. It's like a 12-16 hour work day, it sucks. You sound really bitter about them trying to enjoy something secondhand.
>>
>>8741346
You sound like the type of person who gets butthurt over people listening to audio books instead of reading them.
>>
>>8741375
I'm not bitter at all, but I work crazy hours and always have so I know it's not really an excuse (my shifts are 13 hours). To say you don't have time to play a ~6 hour game is stupid. They're the one who replied to me and tried to say people are being too harsh about people who watch LPs and I'm telling them they're not being too harsh. That's hardly being bitter.

>>8741378
Again we're talking about 2 completely different medias here, that's hardly an accurate comparison.
>>
>>8741317
i think this makes sense over say a 14 year old only watching a bit of a Lets Play and then turning the rest of the game into headcanons or whatever it is they do.
it definitely isn't the same as playing the game yourself but you still get to see the plot and such pan out. i guess like those other anons were saying, reminds me a bit of an audio book. i listen to those when i draw because i only have so much free time and i put that towards my hobbies (art and cosplay), so i can't read as much as i used to. one hour a day doesn't really cut it when it's something i've really gotten into, so i just put on the audio book of it while i work.
>>
>>8741390
>>
>>8741395
Ok? That's fair enough. I know it's just my opinion.
>>
>>8741378
In their defense, listening to an audio book and reading a book actually is the same.
Video games are a combination of reading the story + your own choices, ESPECIALLY a game like Undertale.
Watching an LP = listening to an audio book
Playing a game = one of those make-your-own-adventure books, I guess?
The impact is wildly different.
Undertale is one of the few games where watching an LP seriously will not cut it, that's why people keep bitching about it.

>>8741317
Nothing wrong with watching LPs, I do it too for certain games, but you're really missing out on the experience. Just so you know.
>>

I really dig Grillby but,,,, how do they breathe with that prosthetic?
>>

Temmie and Lesser Dog, omg
>>
>>8741502
There's a chance they don't, honestly. I have a habit of making things without figuring how it's going to attach or be comfortable, and a stupid mistake like that is definitely something I'd do.
>>
Doing a small Mettaton dump from the tags. It's 90% 'makeup test' and 10% actual cosplay, but I found a few I liked.

I gotta say,,, after going through the tags I feel slightly better about my Mettaton progress. I'm more worried about being too chubby than I am having poor construction, but seeing some of the attempts on tumblr has me feeling way more confident. (Not trying to be malicious or anything, there's just some genuinely bad costests in those tags)

I was wondering when someone would do Burgerpants.

I kind of like this..? But the wig is too messy. The eye is neat as hell though.

First Gaster I've seen and it's not terrible.
The Mettaton is subpar, though.

>>8741706
How's your progress coming along?
I've debated Mettaton but I'm worried the UT fandom is going to turn into shit before I can get a cosplay out.

In the process of looking for sturdy EVA foam-type material to use for the shoulder pieces right now. After a lot of searching, I managed to find a hard plastic chest piece that's the perfect shape (hint: it's a piece of sports equipment) and I'm in the process of drilling the speaker holes and priming it for paint. I'm still in the design process for the waist pieces, but I do have the heart wired to glow with a simple on-off switch (I just need more electrical tape to keep it from shorting itself when the wires touch). Once my next paycheck comes in I'll be visiting the lycra store for silver fabric for his arms.

Posted this picture in an old thread but eh

I want a Burgerpants to have a glitterburger...
Or those fucking pretty patties.
Pretty much the same thing.
>>
I'm thinking about making a Sans cosplay, what would you recommend to put over the foam head to get a nice boney look?
I really want to do something cool for the eyes, like led rings controlled by a remote or something like that, so the foam head is really great to hide all the needed components.

Too many people trying to make Sans look "cute" or "sexy," He's neither of these things. I may need to post my cosplay for comparison. The catch is, my chest hair kept popping out of the t-shirt collar.

I would love to see this at shuto! Looks good so far. I am so glad you made the body actually shaped like it's supposed to be and not just a regular cardboard box.
>>
>>8742000
Blame the Tumblr kids who go off headcanons instead of playing the game.

Love to see it, though. There's not a lot of good Sans cosplay.
>>
>>8730507
Like this fellow, I want to avoid makeup horror, but I'd love to attempt the more humanoid version. Since Mettaton is a robot, would a custom mask to simulate a metal facial structure be more recommended? Or would adhering individual pieces to simulate the most prominent metallic features be better?(since this robot is pretty expressive) Or is makeup just overall the best approach as long as it's done right?
>>
>>8741985
haha, hope it's a good kind of recognition, at least?

>>8742057
I wouldn't go with a mask, unless you were going to go all phantom of the opera for the unfinished segment of MTT EX's face.

I've thought about using facial prosthetics for the cheekbone segments, but I don't think they'd be worth it. A more effective prosthetic would be to create the 'creases' in the face around the cheek and eye (think like smooth, not puckery "scars"), but because of how shallow they'd be, it's not really worth it for the 3D texture. Makeup is your most practical option, unless you're really good at sculpting & applying small prosthetics, and not so hot at creating the illusion of depth.
>>
>>8742036
lets be real here, if undertale was... a tv show that only took 10 mins to watch and everyone in fandom watched it(cough steven universe), people would still churn out completely out-of-character garbage. because thats what fandoms do.

>>8737980
i know fandom has drawn hapstablooks, but have anyone cosplayed him yet?
>>
If i'm being honest my Mettaton is mostly a skill-building project to learn how to deal with eva foam, so I'm not putting too much stock in this, and i'm far from done, but something seems really ...off about it to me so far?
I know I fucked up the speaker hole placements because damn that rotary tool was more enthusiastic than expected, but if anyone can help me figure out what's fixable (without completely redoing), I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

the small gap in the foam on the right side of the chest, also it looks more rounded at the bottom compared to the left side but that may be the angle.
>>
I did a Mettaton cosplay for some tiny little local event (so tiny there were zero photographers, hence shitty bathroom selfie that's all I got sorry). This is just thrown together in about a week or so, but I'm thinking of fixing it up a bit and wearing it to an actual con sometime.

Already planning:
- do the arms again from scratch (more metallic base material, better banding, nicer gloves)
- speaker/fan/whatever it is needs to stand out more

Any additional suggestions?

(The belt is just wonky from weird leg angle, it doesn't normally have that black gap.)
>>
>>8742785
ah you're totally right, that gap does draw way too much attention. i'll figure out how to fix that asap. i'm pretty sure the symmetry thing is just the angle of my dressform at present though, since the pattern was mirrored and cut exactly

(I think I've figured out some of the weirdness too; the dressform has a longer torso than me by quite a bit and a slightly wider bust, so the proportions seem really off to me when I look at it like this compared to how they actually sit on me.)

Also before this thread completely dies, could i ask if you gulls think i should silver up that front belt piece a bit? I'm still going to add more of the the silver fabric underneath as the belt itself, but it just seems so...stark in contrast to everything else. Totally forgot to paint the black pointer-line on the dial on the right side too, it almost completely disappears when all white.

>>8742830
what did you use for the breastplate, out of curiosity? I love the knob and the shiny finish, but the bottom middle looks a little lumpyish, maybe just needs to be pulled a little more taut if it's fabric covered?
>>
>>8742830
also you seem to have a weird seam-thing halfway down your shoulder pieces that messes up the silhouette of it, maybe you could smooth it out/cover it up with something?
love the belt though btw
>>
>>8742870
>>8742876

Mm, yeah, I see what you mean! Thanks for pointing it out. I think the judicious application of sandpaper will probably (hopefully) help in both cases.

Breastplate is worbla for the top layer, padded out with a few layer of cheap-ass craft foam underneath to give it some thickness. (I was totally rushing and probably overheated it desu, hence the lumpiness.) The finish is just a metallic spray paint.
>>
>So guess who’s cosplaying as Papyrus and Sans from Undertale? (This is a mock-up design of how our costumes are going to look, in all actuality it will probably be more revealing)

Ugggh. Are you serious.
>>
There are...so many things wrong with this???

The tumblr tag is a goldmine holy shit.
>>
Is..is the lighting really bad or did they actually paint themself yellow?
>>
>>8743001
id have thought this board would complain about people not having the dedication to get the colour scheme right by painting themselves yellow

which is the lesser evil?

>>8742830
the pink front panel should be more connected to the shoulderpads, in the sprite it's all in one-ish v-shape piece

if you're gonna get new gloves id recommend that... formal type with the seams that old cartoon characters wear, you know the sort i mean. since his box form has them.

Both tumblr and instagram. I go into the mettaton cosplay tags and it's always 90% makeup tests and 10% actual cosplay. makes me wonder just how many people are actually making the costume, and how many people are just wanting to do a "makeup test" and slap on some black turtleneck or some shit
