I've seen it done several different ways. Some people just paint it on their chest, some people do a paper cut out, some people paint it onto a nude bodysuit. The only thing about painting it on your body or a bodysuit is you'd have to be super careful if you want it to look neat.

For the jacket it's probably best to start with a basic suit jacket pattern.(Of which you're going to have to modify of course) Pants wise I've cosplayed Koichi and all their pants are really similar, I took a pair of loose pj pants cut them up and drafted a pattern for that making them much baggier in areas, worked well.

Like it was mentioned before, NYX carries pretty good lipstick colors for Jojo. I have their Chambord and Pistachio from the Macaron collection, both very pigmented and creamy, imo.
Inglot also has a few shades that are good, I personally really like their stick lipsticks, which I own in 281 (purple/violet) and 288 (a really vivid blue). I also own 92 (a bright lime green), from their Freedom System lipstick shades but it's much much creamier (comes in the same shape as an eyeshadow), harder to apply and takes some effort to not look patchy.
Makeup Revolution London also carries a few shades that are good for Jojo cosplays but they can be a little patchy. They cost 1£ only though, so they're good for those in a tight budget. I own their orange Vice and quite like it, it's creamy and needs a few layers to build up but the color is pretty bright.
If you have a bit more money to spend, Jeffree Star's liquid lipsticks look fantastic and some colors can definitely be worn for JJBA cosplays and since they're long lasting, they can probably hold up through a whole con day.

Does anyone have any advice for making a Polnareff wig? I've seen some advice where people back comb the hair in the middle and glue hair around it. Also just putting a peice of foam in the middle of the hair to make it stand. I really want to make the wig perfect, as I feel like he doesn't have much else to his outfit besides the hair. I also don't want it to look like a helmet like most do.

Best way I've seen to go about it is the foam method + Glued hairline like the pic related. Just dont make the foam base too large so you can avoid the helmet look.

Hey I'm just wondering, I'm a mildly chubby trans guy and not at all fit to cosplay a jojo but I love the series, I was considering cosplaying Funny Valentine (when he's fat, of course). I do cosplay other characters but I saw myself posted to the bad cosplay thread once so I doubt I'll cosplay them again. Would it work if I cosplayed Fat!Valentine? Or should I just give up trying to cosplay from this series.

This was my Narancia cosplay that I did (My sister is the Mista) and I know we look awkward as hell (this surprisingly wasn't the picture that got posted, but it was this cosplay) but if there's any way I could improve you could give me tips? I'm a beginner at a lot of stuff

It's not terrible, it's just mediocre as far as I can tell from the photo.

First of all, make up for both of you. Even if you don't go full jojo, you'd benefit from a more even face.

Second is the stripes, which should be more and more evenly painted.

Last are his shoes, which don't look like that... they are more like boots.

For shoes, find similar base shoes at a thrift store or a cheap place like Ardene's (which often has 2 for $15 sales at the end of the seasons) and then make boot covers. You can make yourself some pretty convincing shoes pretty cheap that way.
