hello, cosplaying crockertier jane soon and i have a few questions.

firstly, i wondering if anyone has any tips for making her tiara. i had success a couple of years ago using the soda can method for a sailor moon tiara, but i've also heard of people using craft foam. i've never tried the latter, does anyone have any preferences?

also general opinions on the "possession" cybery lines? i think they look neat when done right but there's a lot of room to fuck up

I'm fond of blood coloured ones as long as its for a fairly detailed outfit, and the contacts aren't the cartoony bright red ones.
Black or grey usually looks good with even the trolls basic outfits.

Grey or black is always a safe bet, but coloured tend to look good with GT outfits and more realistic approaches to the outfits. Or if you just plain and simple can't pass for a young teenager anyway.
Beforus trolls should wear whiteouts if any, but I can oversee coloured contacts for casual outings.
Yellow can look pretty okay for rainbow drinkers, but I'm not s huge fan of them otherwise.

How does one shipping shoots? Me and my partner are already, well, partners, so we're comfortable with being close, but I'd really appreciate some tips on poses/framings that are sweet but not too overt or in your face. Let's be real, nobody want to look like your general con shipping photos.

I can usually tell them apart when they aren't crossplaying and aren't in paint. Pic related, GH is on the left, Hhhhammy on the right, Pyropi center. But I get what you mean, Gothichamlet is hard to pin down because she cosplays a big range of characters. It's easier to pick out which one is Hhhhammy because she has the round face and nose.

We usually do a cute little Holiday Sweaterstuck thing, but there's also a cheap convention the first week of December. I know some stucks hit the Toronto Cosplay Skating event too.

Last year we did the sweaterstuck event at a couple's house. It was nice and cheesy. Everyone brought food, gifts for White Elephant, and we played silly games for prizes. It was a good time.

I've got a question for you all, Homestuck Seagulls.

What do you guys think/what would your opinions be about cosplaying as aa God Tier, but not as an actual character?

What I mean is...just making a God Tier outfit and wearing it to a Con as is. As just a normal person or as yourself instead of as a real character.
For example, my friends and I all have "our own" God Tier titles we have gotten from personality quizzes online (I was the Mage of Hope, my friend was the Sylph of Time, etc) and I was wondering what people would think if we actually made those outfits and wore them to Cons for fun. Would it be fine, or do you think people would see us as shitty OCs or self inserts? Is the whole thing just a dumb idea?

Their tumblr cites issues with the hotel, and that they made an attempt to move to another venue which seemingly imploded.

Rule #1 for running a con and working with a hotel: always get it in writing. And then don't ignore what's in writing.

Obvious poster is probably obvious but....

The con chair signed a contract with their original venue promising to fill X amount of rooms and obviously couldn't get local stuckaboos to drop 200$ on rooms. Cue fees, a last dit ch attempt to switch hotels, and the con chair deleting his email (that ppl are supposed to contact for their refunds).

Their programming staff sent out notice to panelists and threw the chair under the bus but no email notice has gone out to attendees so who knows if people will show up tomorrow.

What a joke. Their first year hadn't been that bad, either. For being full of baby stuckaboos.
