My family will be visiting relatives in Florida for thanksgiving but I have work the next day (recreation not retail thank god) so I can't go. I'll probably dress up in lolita and do something with my bf. No thanksgiving related meets though sadly.

I love seeing these sugary carnival era sweet lolita pictures as the OP images, I'm glad it's not totally kill. I generally refer to it as "2010-12 AP sweet" but is there another way you refer to the vibe it gives off?
Like a solid with a square headdress, sugary carnival with a pony bag, and dolly cat with princess sleeves are all sweet, but very different at the same time.

This is my favorite era of lolita, I wish people would stop shitting on it and screaming "ageplay!~" when they all know they were lusting after Milky Planet back then.
I don't like when people refer to all 2008-2012 sweet as "OTT sweet" because stuff like the OP pic is what I saw and loved most and it's definitely not OTT. Maybe we should call it something more like "pastel sweet" or "sugary sweet" or something.

Just to get things started, does anyone collect old JM or 80s kawaii brands like Maid Lane Revue? (Would say vintage JM but that seems weird since it's all 90s and 00s)

The earliest piece in my collection that I've got an actual date for is 1994, but it needs restoration work on the leather fastenings. Heart label is the dream, of course.

I feel exceedingly stupid right now.

I fear I'm losing my love for Lolita even though I have more pieces than I ever have. Meets come up and I just let most of them pass unless it's something really elegant or exceptional. I do like to wear plain gothic coords for no special reason when by myself though. Maybe I'm just wanting to go solo and leave the comm idea mostly behind?

There's a girl in a nearby comm that I started talking to. I thought she was cool, and we had a great mutual friend.

But, she lives far away from myself and her best friend.

She was really bitchy at me on Facebook for calling me out on buying my dream dress, because apparently because my family is on food stamps, I cannot have nice things?

So, I slowly took her best friend while she was away on some stupid vacation. She came back to a shit storm of her being a replica chan and left the Lolita community, but is still a massive ita. Her best friend talks to me daily, and we go on road trips and go out almost weekly for lunch.

I have no regrets, none whatsoever.

Honestly good on you anon. I had to go on food stamps for a while and if I had completely cut myself off from all "fun" expenses I probably would have gone crazy from stress. I hate it when people don't stop and consider how awful it would feel to be both in need of assistance to feed yourself because of a tough spot and unable to get yourself something nice on occasion.

I checked the Japanese site for details and I'm getting conflicting information (since fuku001 was originally the 10,000yen lolita lucky pack) so I have no idea what I'll get but it was only $17 total.

I like them! Personally I don't use planners/agendas but I love the concept of useful stationery.

I will try and make stickers like these ones. It helps a bit when you actually post photos of how can you use them.

ps:I did a poll tho, asking if people use their stickers and almost everyone just buy and never use them.
