Let's have a new gyaru thread, to celebrate the movie Ganguro Girls Riot!
>hope it'll appear on the web soon
Also, what is everyones thoughts on the latest gyaru related stuff from kawaii pateen?
Film's a BDia cash grab, it'll most likely be complete shit. Everything they've done since AVANT GYARUDE has been soulless, and it can't be any good if they let Barbie appear in it of all people.
I also think it's stupid that barbie appears in it, since the film is set in the past and I highly doubt there were any natural black gyaru around in those years. Yet, I really want to watch it, because of the parapara routines
When was the last time you took apart your sewing machine and cleaned it /cgl/?
Pic related is my machine after a few months of sewing fur material. I clean the outside often, but neglected the inside.
Sure! This is my machine.
I clean mine my machine by taking the little brush it came with and my hand held vacuum, use the brush to sweep up the dust and vacuum it up and vacuum all the small dust that floats around. Can of air and vacuum works great too.
Also, make sure you change your sewing needle regularly. You should change it after just a few hours of work. I've read change needles between 2 and 5 hours of use.
Post feels. Happy, sad, whatever! Just keep it /cgl/ related.

Five years out of college, and I feel like I've completely failed at life.
The only thing that makes me feel okay is when I'm walking around a con, random underage girls telling me I'm cute.
>buy lots of brando during visit to Japan
>get called curvy by someone
>hide all brand and Jfashion
>stay away from cgl and 4chan for a year
>become skinny bitch after spending time in the void
>brand still looks bad on me
What the hell happened to the last thread? Also discuss Metrocon because it's in two days.
And then AFO a week later. Rip wallets.
I wondered why I couldn't post there. I'm gonna be at Metro all four days. Bringing Shirou and hopefully Yang if she arrives on time.
Other than that, checking out the new shows and playing Pathfinder there.
Saw this on Simplicity's site and wondering what exactly inspired this? I know that they're trying to zero into that genderbend cosplay crowd but this seems to be getting weirder and weirder with every new pattern. Wouldn't it be a better use of their time to make more exact or really close patterns like their Zelda or GoT stuff?
Even weirder is this Linkl that isn't even accurate to Linkl
I know what it is, I more just wondering why they need to keep coming up with weird outfits instead of just making ones that are replicas. That being said I have a soft spot for the Tardis/Dalex dress. Probably because most Tardis dresses are some monstrosity with an enormous skirt when it's supposed to be a fucking tall, thin box.
Ask for help, advice, and give answers.

First time cosplayer here, I'm a little confused about how to approach this shirt, specifically the front piece bow thing. Should I tie the shirt in the front or pin a separate piece of fabric?
Was looking for it in the catalogue but couldn't find it so here's a new one.
Anyways has anyone bought from the wig store Linea Storia before? Some korean beauty guru I'm subscribed to uploaded a video about the wig company with the owner of the store and the quality looked good so I checked out the site and it seems they have a premium line which is in the 10,000 yen price range and a normal line in the 4000-5000 yen price range, and I was wondering if the there's a huge quality difference between the two?
Please let's try not to talk about Eyebrow-chan or the Midwest US drama this time.
No, we are tired of it already.
New topics please, as OP requests.
Does your comm have any kind of dress code? How many meets can noobs come to before you expect a full coord?
Any special rules for ILD, like 'no casual, dress your best' etc?
How do you deal with poorfags and the 'I'm a lolita at heart' people or the ones trying to half-ass it and thrift all loliables?

The socks seem too dark and different from the rest of the pinks. If you can't find a pale pink then I would go with white. No need to draw undue attention to your feet away from the print.
Ahhhhhhhhh. Good point. I saw them and only thought of matching the pink inside the jars. The socks aren't solid but have a very faint lace pattern too so they might look a little lighter when worn, but that would be a lot of attention right to the feets.
Old one is gone.
finally got this one in the mail yesterday. life is complete.

I made this as a prototype so excuse the poor placement of stickers and rough edges.
Beyond fixing the structural mistakes, do you guys have any suggestions on how to make the design a little more mature/elegant? I'm not looking for classic lolita level elegance, just something that looks more like trendy teen jewelry rather than claires jewelry.
So far I'm thinking of using a less saturated color for the frame, cutting the whiskers/eyes thinner and more neatly....not sure what else. Maybe less glitter?
What even is your design, anon? Pink glitter angry cat eyebrows Tokyo Mew Mew brooch?
Get a much finer glitter. Look to highlighters like pic related for guidance. The gem and the whisker bits just do not complement one another as is. Maybe a color change of the frame and gem would fix this, but I don't know. Do you sketch out your designs before you get started? Or do you just glue crap on?
I want to dress as King of Skull Servants at Fan Expo in September. I've never done this before.
Skeleton morph suit and a ragged purple table cloth? How hard would it be to sew together his little robe for someone who has never done that?
>king of the skull servants
This makes me so nostalgic anon. My friends and i would play yugioh and one of my friends loved skull servants. He eventually made a skull servant deck. I just find them really funny and my friends would joke about them all the time
I'm not a cosplayer so sorry I have no actually advice. Good luck anon!
Is this how /cgl/ meetups look like?
Did it turn out right?
