I love cosplay but I'm ugly as sin.
Post any characters you know who wear masks.
Mortal Kombat girls (and dudes too) wear masks
Kigurumi masks are underrated.
Btw show your face, maybe you're not that ugly!
Post room inspo and ask room-related questions here.
How can we get other styles as popular as lolita?

Has anyone seen the OPL cosplay video? Thoughts?
Wore my kylo to smash today and got this photo with this awesome bane
Who let that guy host the cosplay?
So this year I was really looking forward to Saboten because it finally seemed like they were finally listening to us anymore for what we want guest wise? I guess they are going for quantity of quality with their guest list. The convention has been around long enough and has enough attendance to get actual Japanese voice actor guests.
Oh well it looks like its going to be the same old same old with Saboten.
Anyways who is all going and what are you going to cosplay?
Any tea parties happening this year?
Idk what's worse, the ridiculous amount of ask panels, or how many panels are pretty much the same.
There are 5 ask a homestuck panels (2 of them are sleepoverstuck?), 2 ask dmmd panels, like 4 figure 101 panels. The whole schedule is like this.
Did different people approve different things without consulting each other? Because this is just a mess.
I went last year and didn't really find anything interesting. Wasn't planning to go again.
Now that I see that Mika Kobayashi is coming, I'm not sure if she's enough to bring me to go.
Often the point of going off-brand is to save money. But I'm wondering what off-brands you guys might Prefer to brand, think are equivalent to brands or are just really easy to blend in with Lolita?
From everything I have seen it looks like Kate Spade and Betsy Johnson purses work well with Lolita and they sometimes make novelty bags that either look better then the brand version or that are shapes the brands haven't made yet.
Where on earth can you find Kate Spade bags cheaper than lolita brand bags?
I guess the obvious one would be Vivienne Westwood. I have this release of their heart bag and I love it to bits. It's so impractical but totally worth it in my eyes.

OP wasn't necessarily talking about paying cheaper prices for non-lolita brands.
I actually buy lots of blouses from H&M. I can easily modify them with a bit of lace. I also have a pink coat from Ever New I love.
For things that you can wear everyday. j/k/cfash all allowed.
Well gulls, October is just around the corner. Is everybody planning out their halloween and creepy cute outfits already? Because I am.
Let's get a thread going for some inspo. Feel free to post accessories, dresses, outfits or otherwise related!

What is your opinion of people who don't take out their facial piercings for cosplay? Do you think it looks good, bad, or are you indifferent?
Personally, I think unless your character is the type to have piercings, it looks worse than a 300-pound fatty dressed as Yoko. Nothing screams TRASH louder than metal poking out of your face.
>inb4 butthurt
Just my opinion.
Barely even noticed.
who gives a shit? like or dislike whatever you want! there's a new thread like this every week.
>should fat people cosplay?
>should you know the source material before cosplaying?
>should old people cosplay?
Certain stuff might not look good to me personally but that doesn't mean I care if people choose to do it. If you have to make a whole thread just to say "wah I don't like this", you might need to get a life.
If it's very noticeable I think it looks trashy. Sometimes they fit the character and sometimes they're subtle enough that they don't really make a difference, but the big obvious ones look bad. Especially septum rings. Septum rings never look good. Just wear a retainer.
New thread. You know what to do

I don't see what's bad about this

The last Texas Thread has hit auto-sage at >>9124431. Let's try this again. What are you planning?
where did the SJ thread go?
>>9139055
I said trips but dubs is fine. I'll be doing this.
>>9139490
It saged from lack of activity. I think everyone going to San Japan is too busy working on their costumes or planning their panels to talk in the thread. That or there just isnt anything to discuss yet.

Basic Western Routine:
>Cleanser
>Toner
>Moisturizer
Starter Asian Routine:
>Oil Cleanser
>Foaming Cleanser
>Moisturizer
>Sunscreen
Some basic tips:
>Introduce Moisturizer first. As much as you want to introduce a cleanser to clean, a moisturizer helps control oil production
>introduce one product, two weeks at a time
>Unless starting BHA or AHA, you should not be getting new breakouts while introducing products
>YMMV always
Uploaded the wrong image... Oh well..
Basic skincare products are:
Cleanser: Cetaphil, CeraVe
Toner: Thayers Alcohol Free Witch Hazel
Moisturizer: Aloe Vera gel, Cerave PM Cetaphil moisturizer, Eucarin
Asian Beauty Starter Pack:
Oil cleanser: DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil, Banila Co Clean It Zero
Second Cleanser: Hada Labo Foaming, Cerave Foaming, Tosowoong Powder Enzyme, CosRx Good Morning Gel
Moisturizer: Cerave PM, Benton Snail Bee Steam Cream, CosRx Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream, CosRx 92 Snail AIO
Sunscreen: Biore Watery Essence, Shiseido Senka Anti-aging, Canmake Mermaid UV Gel, Biore Perfect Milk
As always, YMMV. Just because other people like it, doesn't mean that you would
Can I get some recommendations for under eye creams, rich but without the residual-oily feeling? I have combination skin and dark circles that I've had forever, but would really like to make an intensive effort to make them less obvious.
Here's my routine, pls judge:
>Nature Republic Aloe Cleansing foam.
>12.5% Lactic acid twice a week.
>Neulii Aloe Vera & Willowbark Gel.
>Secret Key Snow White Cream
>Secret Key Snail Repair Eye cream.
>Secret Key Snail Repair Sun cream.
I'm still looking for a good sleeping pack/thick cream with niacinamide for nights and use 3W Clinic cotton masks a few times a week for fun.
Because I don't wear foundation unless I'm really going all-out, the Snow White cream really helps even out my skintone quickly.
Can we have a discussion of who we all think are some of the "best" crafters in the cosplay hobby? Not the ones who look best or the "model" cosplayers but the people who make the best, most quality costumes. Self-posts are fine but I'm generally curious who the community thinks are some of the top crafters still around.
>>9132351
I'm interested in this too. I already follow the handful of "god tier" crafters everyone knows, but I want to know who out there is less popular but still has solid skills.
I rather like Fantasy Ninja, she just seems all around pleasant and she does offer advice when asked. I was pretty impressed by her Lulu even if the skirt is lacking some volume. Just strikes me as someone who's just genuinely having fun with cosplay.
Cowbutt Crunchies is one of the few I can think of from the top of my head.
Old thread is in autosage: >>9068676
ITT: We talk about anything related to crossplaying (males cosplaying as females & females cosplaying as males) and crossdressing

>I'm having trouble finding anything that can fit my waist (89cm)
Have you tried doing anything to slim down your waist, like a corset? I'm about a 33 in pants (usually wear 34), but I can get my waist down to 30"/77cm with a corset without any discomfort. It helps a lot with the shape too.
>>9126476
>>9126485
It's a little less dramatic in proportions, but I have pic related and find it to be pretty effective if you want to buy something off the shelf. Was around $20.
>you will NEVER be a twinky asian boy
Curse you nordic genes and testosterone
>worked like crazy on my crossplay makeup (ftm)
>can finally pass acceptably in selfies and face photos
>giant hips make me clearly female in any photo that shows me below the waist
Fuck
Didn't see one in the archives so I made one.
Saw this in the bodyline sales group and just couldn't stop gagging.
