Please try to ignore/do not respond to obvious bait.
How have we not had a DragonCon thread? It's been a week. You don't have your pics sorted out yet?
I mean there were 77,000 of us there, there had to be some /cgl/ folks.
Check archives.
Was there OP. Did you see a California raisin at the Marriott on Sunday and Monday?

>that imade
OH, so its ok when HE goes dressed as a solder, but when I show up in my Einsatzgruppen uniform I get escorted out by security?
Post amazing designs costumes you dream of making
I really want to do a Suicune gijinka, but I didn't like the design this artist used for Suicune. However, their Kingdra is pretty much exactly what I want to do, but in Suicune form.
This costume gets half a minute screen time at the beginning and I can't find any offical arts about it. Really underrated game, Pandora's tower

The keyhole neckline strikes again
It's getting into the cooler months so why not some cute tartan themed outfit inspo?

I know It's super early but my gf and I are thinking of taking a bus Trip in July for AX
Any advice on what to expect/what the panels are like?
It's either this or going to Cali for Royal Rumble in January
so I'm just gauging my options
>>9178228
panel seem interesting to you? enjoy waiting at least an hour and a half in line in advance to MAYBE get in.
wanted to see the panel about hentai?
wanted to see a sweet musician you came to the con to see?
want to meet your favorite artist?
tough fucking shit, this is line con, you have to wait or shell out $400 per person to skip out all the lines.
enjoy the artist alley, where they may or may not remember to put on the AC while everyone is crammed in a hot parking garage. smell that con funk, see the 3rd person carried out to an ambulance with heat stroke.
enjoy walking? don't? hard convention floors will guarantee your feet are extremely sore or blistered unless you wear godly shoes.
outside of that, its a really fun con, and there isn't enough time to do everything in the con... even if you weren't in line for most of it.
AX is shit. Don't go.
>>9178228
AX isn't a bad convention and it's huge so there's usually lots to do or at least see, but with how things went this year it's hard to say. There were a lot of fuck ups this year but maybe next year will be better. :/
there's been lots of talk about how OTT/con-loli culture is hurting daily lolita... what do you think? what do you wear daily? where do you buy it? what are your favorite daily coords?
ok.. so lets start a new one!
Aw yiss, my favorite thread.
What are your thoughts on Yaoicon my fellow gulls?
I'm attending it for the first time this year to experience it for myself, pretty hype about it~
im going but it isnt attended by many people from here i think

not great for cosplay but if you have friends then it'll be pretty fun; the parties last year were pretty wild.
How old were you when you first got interested in lolita fashion?
How old were you when you bought your very first brand dress?
How old are you now?
How old do you plan to be when you give up the fashion forever?
>How old were you when you first got interested in lolita fashion?
About 13 or 14
>How old were you when you bought your very first brand dress?
18, with my first paycheck from my part time job. Blew it all on lolita because I'm extremely responsible.
>How old are you now?

>How old do you plan to be when you give up the fashion forever?
I don't know, I don't want to. I'm not planning that far ahead, honestly. If I graduate from the fashion I hope it's because I found something else that I love more, but at the moment that doesn't seem plausible. Maybe I'll be a kawaii granny.

Either I'll die in it or graduate to aristocrat or Victorian style later in my 30's or 40's.
>How old were you when you first got interested in lolita fashion?
14, I think? I'm not sure.
>How old were you when you bought your very first brand dress?
16 when my parents bought me my first burando, 21 when I bought myself my first brand with my own money and shipped to my own apartment. I differentiate between the two because it wasn't until I was able to do the latter that I really started wearing the fashion.
>How old are you now?

>tfw that's old by my comm's standards

Seriously though, I'm planning to at least tone it down a lot once I have a child that's old enough to go to school. I'll still wear lolita pieces and might still wear proper lolita to events but at that point probably won't go the full nine yards to follow the ruurus when I'm just going out and about. As for completely dropping everything lolita forever, I honestly don't see it happening. As long as I fit IW I'll continue to look classy in a socially acceptable way and no one can stop me!
Worst cosplay/lolita experiences. Let's try not to drop names. I don't want dramu in here.
>go to local tea party
>leave to use bathroom
>on my way back, hear angry screaming
>arrive to find everyloli standing, and it looks like a fight could break out
>wtf, I was gone for five minutes
>turns out somebody was wearing a replica, and it sparked a discussion about the morality of them
>three girls ended up crying, and someone called security
>arrive at the con
>realize I don't have any of my wigs
Luckily, they were selling all the ones I needed at the con. Still, I nearly shat myself with ice-cold diarrhea.
Clingy friend third wheeled me and my s/o the entire con and didn't get the many, many hints that she didn't need to hang out with us if she didn't want to do all the things we really wanted to do. She just acted plans were suddenly a democracy and voted down everything and got super whiny but wouldn't offer ideas. She almost didn't let us eat because she didn't bring money so no one could get food? Bitch stay behind.
Then she got drunk in our room and spilled shit EVERYWHERE.
What was extra fucking annoying to me was she kept texting other friends who were there but no one would return her messages. Next time we go to the same time I will not return her texts either.
>>9175237
Sounds like she just wanted a good old three way, split down the middle. ay-ay

What trends would you like to go out of style? What are you sick of seeing? Brands you predict will become popular next year, styles you would like to see more of...ect.
I want the idea that everything has to be ultra matchy to die so we can get original, cool coords again.
>>9173043
Thisssss....
"Lolita Chalenges" on Instagram.
If I have to see another coord on a bedspread or on someone's floor again and again, filled to the brim with a bunch of hastags...I'm going to lose it.

Just how far will these beauty challenges go?
>>9167861
WHY. why would you ever put nail polish on your lips? Like, if you have to use a disclaimer, you probably shouldn't be doing it yourself.
>>9167966
You're only worried about the lips? She must have a crazy eye infection by now
Posting bjd makeup is probably cheating but I can't help but notice how unappealing their face is with it
