A lot of oldfriends or otherwise nostalgic people say older brand items are of higher quality or better construction than newer pieces, but nothing's been done on a large scale to prove either statement. I thought it would be a good old fashioned fun time to collect data on items made by brands in the last 20 years. Go ahead and fill out as many surveys as you can for items that you're the most recent owner of, including pieces that are damaged beyond repair. Try to be impartial here.

This information is pretty useless unless you were the sole owner of an item, though. With anything second-hand you don't know if the last owner kept it in their wardrobe for ten years or was wearing it and machine washing it every week, so you can't draw any conclusions about durability from it. I doubt there are enough people that have kept the same dress 15 years to get reliable results.

I feel so empty and weird, I just want to be an excited weeb like i was as a teenager (without the cringe), everything was so much more exciting. I had so much to look forward to. And stop thinking like this. First of all it doesn't make any sense. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people replay their old games. It's not like buying a new game makes the old one stop working?
Secondly you're never, ever going to be happy if you don't make an effort to put yourself in a frame of mind where happiness can be had. Happiness starts with you.

It's just a local prefectural TV special, with a judging system that changes on a dime and is basically decided ahead of time. It's not worth anyone's time. A WCS win doesn't really mean much these days.

CCP has started giving out gacha tickets (applicable to all the limited time gachas, not the normal ones) which has helped alleviate some of the feeling of exploitation. i can pretty much guarantee being able to play every gacha i want for free at least once now.

I wasn't sure where to post this, was going to do it in the Lolita general but the old thread is dead and I didn't want to start it off with a replica discussion.
Someone I have as a friend on Facebook is selling Celestial in Black for absurdly low, around $100 less than the going price. She says it's because she lost the front bow, but that the dress is in otherwise good condition. I'm still a little suspicious though, since the bows are one of the most telling signs of a replica. It's a long shot, but can anyone tell from these photos if it's a replica or not ?
