Assuming you're in the US, feeding a stray for more than a week makes it legally your responsibility. Careful you don't get charged with neglect.

If it was nice and friendly, I might buy cat food, but it's not so it gets left overs and mystery meat I found in the freezer.

Plenty of insects and rats in the garden for it if it's really hungry.
