There was a spark when I was replacing the lcd in my laptop, and now it won't charge or turn on.

All I can think of is a short circuit, any hope in fixing this?

I always work on computers in my underwear to please Lain. It probably doesn't help you now, but touching something metal before you begin discharges static electricity. That's always worked for me.
