I love pretty girls in helmets. Especially if the helmet is just as pretty.
anyone here started to hate boob plate armor? Also jiggle physics on supposedly metal armor?

Yeah, same. Everyone has the right to like whatever they want, but I've always disliked boob plate, bikini armor, etc. The main reason isn't impracticality but because I personally think it looks really goofy.
Anything can be deemed practical in a fantasy setting, but I suppose I have a slight problem with that, too. And that's when it comes down to uniform soldiers.
So the guy has full plate armor and the chick has armor that goes out of its way to off her bust and hips. What's the point? What does her anatomy have to do with murdering people and staying alive? Soldiers should wear what is effective given the setting. If bikini armor is deemed most effective, -everyone- should be wearing it not just the women. Likewise, if the combat gear is deemed effective for the male troops, it should be so for the women as well, with as little alternation to the design as possible.

>Also jiggle physics on supposedly metal armor?
Is this referring to Soul Calibur specifically, by the way?
Here's an example of what I mean.
I understand that since this is from a video game, it has the perfect excuse of needing to clearly differentiate between male and female characters from a game play standpoint. You don't want to pick a female avatar, put on some armor and look practically the same as if you'd picked male. I understand that part. The problem I have is that it's extremely prevalent outside of games as well, in situations where there's pretty much no reason for it outside of fap bait. I don't hate fanservice but there's a time and a place, yanno?
But I wouldn't have a problem with any of this is I didn't think it looked so God damned goofy to begin with. But that's enough of my ranting on the subject. People like what they like, there's truly no accounting for taste.

she looks kind of ugly to be honest

She's cute. Mature grizzled ladies can be adorable.
EO2 Guildmaster. I actually caught on that it was a chick well before it was revealed. I don't remember what exactly gave me that impression, but the braids weren't the first thing I noticed.

going to play devil's advocate here.
people who make anime and LARPers don't know much about realistic body armor and the middle ages. so all their knowledge comes from video games. and also since it's fantasy. i doubt they care much. but that's okay. fantasy isn't supposed to be realistic

I totally agree, it certainly isn't! As far as I'm concerned, in fantasy anything goes. Making sense is a secondary concern. You want skimp armor to work for chicks and not dudes, the logic behind that is limited only by one's imagination.
It's just a silly pet peeve of mine. Entirely a matter of personal preference. More power to anyone that loves them some sexy armor.
