>Apply for job blowing shit up with electricity
>PLC experience prefered
>I'm pretty good with electricity, not so much with PLC.
>turns out I have better qualifications for blowing shit up than anyone else who applied, get hired.
> company recently paid a pretty penny to PLC/control company to bring blowing shit up facilities into modern era, wants to avoid this in the future
>Do my job blowing shit up, but on the occasional down time, learn everything I can about the PLC magic that makes things run
>now handle 95% of issues related to these things, company only has to call in contractors for "Holy shit, the fuck is this?!" issues"
>use this(and some other things) to argue for pay bump
>literal profit
