Let's post some things we do regularly to get us closer to success, /biz/nessmen.

>Brush teeth for 2 minutes, twice a day
>Floss everyday
>Drink at least 3-4 liters of water
>Lift weights or at least do regular cardio
>Take fishoil, ZMA, etc supplements
>Use a gentle cleanser twice a day and moisturize our face daily
>Shower every day(preferably cold)
>Wash hair once a week
>Make sure our nails are cut and tidy
>Read at least 30 minutes a day
>Don't play videogames
>Don't watch tv
>Don't rub our eyes to prevent bags under eyes
>Sleep at least 7-8 hours a day
>Keep our homes neat and tidy
>Organize our schedule and not waste time unnecessarily
>Don't use bed for anything other than sleeping
>Ensuring all of our clothes are ironed and on hangers(not lying crumpled up) at all times
>Don't wear oversized clothes
>Friendly to everyone we meet everyday
>>
None of those things will mean anything. Stop posting this stupid NEET shit thinking brushing your teeth or going vegan will get you off your fat ass. Get a job and save more than you spend.

>None of those things will mean anything. Stop posting this stupid NEET shit thinking brushing your teeth or going vegan will get you off your fat ass

It's the little things you stupid fucking dolt.

There is tons of people with shitty teeth and having nice, white teeth looks great. You also will save tons of money, discomfort and time by saving on future dental work by brushing well and flossing.
>>
>>983716
>Take fishoil, ZMA, etc supplements
>Don't use bed for anything other than sleeping
pls be bait
>>
>>983716
This is just basic "be an adult" stuff. I'll add:

>Organize your shit, keep it organized
>Don't waste time with worthless people
>Surround yourself with positive role models
>Don't complain to anyone about anything
>Expect the best out of people but don't rely on them at all
>Expect the best from people, but don't get upset when they fall short
>Be genuinely interested in the people, things, and activities in your life
>>
>>983738
How is it bait?

Fishoil has many studies showing how beneficial it is, ZMA is good if you're deficient in those minerals(a lot of people are).

Using bed for only sleeping is to train yourself to falling asleep when lying down in your bed, versus using your phone/laptop in bed.
>>
>>983744
except fish oil and supplements. Waste of money. Just eat right and you're just fine.
>>
>>983744
>This is just basic "be an adult" stuff.

Yeah a lot of it is basic but you'd be surprised how many people don't do these things. if you do everything in the list you're in a good spot.

Great additions.
>Don't complain to anyone about anything
This is a good one. I think when people see you regularly complain they perhaps even subconsciously see you as weaker and respect you less. It's just a bad habit overall, shifts you into a victim mindset.

>>983746
Fish oil supplements have many documented benefits and studies. It's also very cheap to buy.

It's not a waste of money at all

Most people don't do this.

>Drinking 3-4 liters per day
Most people don't do this. Most barely drink any water at all(it's all coffee/soda, etc)

>Lifting weights and doing cardio regularly
Needless to say we have an obesity epidemic where over 60% of adults are overweight and half are clinically obese.

>Reading 30 mins a day
People don't do this.

>Don't play videogames/tv
People do this in excess.

Fish Oil has been objectively proven to yield both physical and mental benefits. The supplement industry as a whole is dumb though... you don't need to worry supplementing vitamin E13 or other obscurities they try to sell everyone... its your job to educate yourself.
>>

>The supplement industry as a whole is dumb though...

This, most supplements are just meme ass shit. I laugh so hard when I see supplements that don't do shit and cost MORE THAN ACTUAL STEROIDS advertised using made-up buzzwords... And I laugh even harder followed by crying when I find out they made several million in profit that year alone.

But yeah you can clearly look up studies on PubMed of this stuff. On fish oil there is over 700 references to research done posted on examine.com... That is as objective as it gets really.

This list is pretty stupid...

Anyway, here's some real tips:

- eat right
- exercise
- read
- try to learn from every person you meet, learn about the profession and how they perform it
- genuinely care about people and helping them
- To be rich, you must be around rich people. Do everything you can to at least occasionally be in their company and rub elbows with them.

>the eyes, hair, and supplement ones pls

Already answered supplement one in thread.

Hair being washed once per week is the normal amount of time between washes to not strip the natural oil off your hair yet still not hair greasy as fuck hair. It's for short to mid length hair though, if you have longer hair it will probably get greasier more often, but I hope none of you have longer hair in a business environment.

Eyes is simple, I thought you all would be able to figure it out but it's because "bags under your eyes" is caused by blood vessels, partly genetically(low amounts of fat there is the prime cause) and some can be caused, you stimulate blood flow to the area if you rub it obviously so it can make it worse.
>>
>>983716

pls dont drink 3-4 litres of water a day unless you are on a very high caloric diet.

you flush out everything including salts and end up dehydrating yourself.

furthermore the myth you should drink 2 litres a day, is misquotes the man who studied hydration said that through food consumption we absorb about 2 litres a day.

This reads like a 1950's "how to be a good wife" magazine article.

>flossing every day
>brushing teeth twice a day
>ironing all of your clothes

Once a day is enough, I have got through life never flossing and have no issues with dental health nor hygiene, most evidence suggests overbrushing is equally bad for teeth so just do the socially acceptable amount and leave it at that (unless you have braces or gingivitis etc.)

Fishoil, supplements, cleansers etc. have basically 0 evidence for anything, again you are wasting time and money and giving yourself a false sense of accomplishment or health.

I don't understand the /biz/ meme of no video games, plenty of successful people play video games, or have played video games, it really shouldn't be an issue.

The thing that really kills me is the ironing of the clothes though. It couldn't be a larger waste of time. Business clothing is all that requires ironing, if you are ironing your shorts and t's literally kill yourself.

I mean, these aren't bad things to do overall but lots of this stuff is time and money wasting, and those that aren't should be common sense/general wellbeing issues, and certainly won't lead to success.

Some people just seem to think that pointless penance is the road to sucess when all it does is drive down your quality of life.
As if a sucessful lawyer would slowly turn into a useless NEET just because he's playing an hour of videogames per day or starts watching anime.

>artificial success

Nice buzzword. How is reaching Grandmaster League in Starcraft II "artificial" and climbing the Mount Everest isn't?
Both take tremendous amount of dedication, skill and time. Both will put you in a small circle of people that are also just as dedicated and skilled as you are.
Both are ultimately futile and you either do them out of pure interest in improving yourself or for bragging rights. So why not choose the one which is most fun to you?
>>
>>984643
>Nice buzzword. How is reaching Grandmaster League in Starcraft II "artificial" and climbing the Mount Everest isn't?

Every one of these threads brings hella butthurt "videogaymers".

The difference is that you're putting tons of time and effort into a videogayme to achieve something imaginary, versus doing anything else irl to learn a skill(mt everest was a bad comparison).

The thing is that if you play videogaymes for 10 years and become a mega-pro master outside of the videogayme... it means literally nothing. No one cares, it doesn't help your life in any way. Whereas if you did ANYTHING, even very poorly for 1 hour a day for 10 years you would be quite respectable in that area and it would immensely benefit you irl. -

Reading a book for 1 hour a day for 10 years? You'd have incredible reading comprehension, knowledge and reading speed.

Lifting weights/cardio for a few hours a week for 10 years? Excellent health

Learning to program for 1 hour a day for 10 years? You'd be a good programmer most likely.

Playing Dota2 for 6 hours a day for 10 years? You might have a good MMR but you'd be the same shithead you always were.

>Working with a bunch of videogayming losers

Everyone there has stagnated in life. Only losers play videogaymes past 20 years of age, reminiscing about good old times playing WoW is fine but there's a time to move on, and that time is when you move on.

I mean hell I had tons of fun in WOTLK and still remember all the fun I had raiding ICC, completing almost all ICC achievs, arena, etc but you're an adult now, you have to move on to adult things.
>>
>>984652
First off I don't even play video games

But what if being good in a video game were more important to me personally than having good health/being able to program or whatever?
It really just comes down to personal preference. Theres no right or wrong.
>>
>>984665
You sound like you're 22. Thinking you're all grown up. Then you'll hit about 27 and realise you were an uber faggot who really knew nothing. Then you might relax again. Then you'll hit 30 and might level out.
>>
>>984665
>you have to move on to adult things
Older people just constantly watch TV in their spare time instead of playing video games. Yeah, way more productive...
>>
>>984672
Well I know for a fact there is loads and loads on people on 4chan and really most everyone my age or even slightly older/younger for whom videogaymes have ruined their life or at least drastically worsened it.

There is a subreddit with people everyday making new posts about how they have thousands of hours played and it ruined their relationships, messed up school, work etc.

For the majority of people it would be highly beneficial to stop playing videogaymersd altogether. I have spoken to many and asked them "So why do you play this game?" and they almost universally seemed to suggest low self-esteem, procrastination and overall addiction and laziness.

>>984675
>Older people just constantly watch TV in their spare time instead of playing video games

Notice how I mentioned "not watching TV" as well? The point is to remove pointless activities from your life, videogaymes just happens to be the most major one for this generation.
>>
>>984683
Well it's seeming like your mentality is "I need to change who I am to be better" which sounds all well and good, but once you become a 'success', it's not really 'you'.

24hrs in a day is plenty to work, sleep, eat, fuck, play and sit around doing nothing. 4 years ago I was working 2 full-time jobs (both from home), 1 part-time job (on-site), studying a masters degree while being a stay at home dad. I regularly played PC games, watched TV etc.

Why don't you let everybody decide for themselfes what type of activity they deem pointless?
Studying something you don't enjoy to become good at something you don't enjoy to me is pointless
Playing videogames/watching anime or whatever for 2 hours a day isn't pointless if you enjoy it and it improves your quality of life because it's "fun", you know?
Everybody needs something to relax and take their mind off things for a while.

That's retarded. Obviously people who spend thousands of hours videogaming and neglect other parts of their life are going t get fucked over - but that could be said of any addiction. These are people with a problem and would never have been successful with or without video games. If it wasnt video games they would have been addictes to something else.

Besides, lets face it, the kind of billionaire success people on this board want doesn't come from working hard and giving up all vices, it comes from dumb luck and being in the right place at the right time with a good idea that catches on. Musk games, you can bet your ass that jewish facebook fuck sat around masturbating all day, Jobs was a hack who couldnt even do his job right the first time and succeeded by being in the right place at the right time and by stealing other peoples work.

Brushing your teeth twice a day and not playing videogames isn't going to make you a billionaire, and it isn't going to make you succesful, and even if it did what idiot would want to make a few more dollars but not be able to enjoy leisure time?
>>
>>984604
Anyone can get an article published on pubmed. The fish oil industry is a multi billion dollar powerhouse so of course there are going to be "legit" "studies" of fish oil saying how great it is. The simple reality is that this is not the case. All studies are either biased or poorly structured, made up of a small cohort, lacking placebo control etc. etc. - one only needs to look through all the Cochrane reviews to see that fish oil is very unlikely to be worth your time. Just eat properly. Fish oil gives a sense of false wellbeing to the fatties who eat KFC three times a dag but then take one fish oil capsule. Well done on being a paragon of good health.
>>
>>984969
>These are people with a problem and would never have been successful with or without video games. If it wasnt video games they would have been addictes to something else

Yeah videogaymes are pretty much inherently linked with addiction and spending long times on them. Yeah yeah people say "b-b-but moderation!" but that's just not true.

Almost every popular game is linked with having to learn it and invest MASSIVE amounts of time into the game in order to progress, and continue to invest that same time to keep at a certain skill level.

Something like LoL for example, I believe the most popular game right now requires a hundred hours to get to lvl 30, then a few thousand more in order to get to an acceptable skill-level to not be called "shit" and do poorly every single match. Then if you don't keep up a similar amount of playtime your skill-level significantly drops and so does your fun in the game.

The problem is that the most popular gaymes require such time investment and drag people in, which obviously results in addiction and other problems in their life.
>>
>>984978
I've never seen the problem. There have been times when a new game would come out as a kid and I would binge a few days playing it, but after that it would usuallybe a few hours a week. Again, it comes down to enjoying your leisure time and it's laughable that this board would act as if enjoying leisure is a bad thing when the whole point of having money is to have more leisure time.

As I said, its a specific group of people that will get addicted to games, and if it wasn't going to be games it would have been something else.
>>
>>984976
>Anyone can get an article published on pubmed. The fish oil industry is a multi billion dollar powerhouse so of course there are going to be "legit" "studies" of fish oil saying how great it is

So over 700 studies and papers are lying? It's one of the most well-researched supplements.
>Just eat properly

Yeah that's the fucking point, most people don';t get enough of some vitamins/minerals in their diet naturally and it helps a lot. Sorry bro I don't eat 4 whole fatty fish a week when I can just buy some supplement that is incredibly cheap and easy to consume.

Next you're going to tell me whey protein is a scam and to "just eat normally"?

>Fish oil gives a sense of false wellbeing to the fatties who eat KFC three times a dag but then take one fish oil capsule

That's a complete strawman and red herring. What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Obviously taking fish oil doesn't somehow undue morbid obesity or make you healthier in other ways, it only affects certain things.

I'm not a poorfag that can't spend $10/month or whatever to increase cognitive function among other effects.

Benefits :
- Hundreds of studies showing good evidence it's beneficial in many ways
- Not harmful in any proven way

Cons:
- Costs less than $10/month

>speculation: the post
I play videogames and it's a healthy hobby for me. I never play games and go "oh shit my progress" because it's relaxation time that doesn't intrude on my work life. It's also great bonding with my girlfriend or sometimes friends (I've got some steam friends I play with too). And, of course, there's the experience of it in story modes or campaigns, just like reading a book or watching a movie.
I actually learned the entire world map and the big global main cities and their locations passively through this online strategy game called afterwind. I learned some these and thats here and there but the point here is that you sound more salty than anything, mate. Stay wageslave, friend, I have enough money and time to play games and enjoy them. And LoL isn't the only vg out there (nice job cherrypicking the posterchild of pointless grind though)
>>
>>984997
>And LoL isn't the only vg out there (nice job cherrypicking the posterchild of pointless grind though)

I am referring to the most popular of videogaymes. LoL, Dota, WoW and CS are by far the most popular that's why I brought them up as an example.

By far the most popular online PVP games, yes. I also play Dota 2 for maybe a few hours a month, though when I had time with Dota 1 back in highschool I played for hours a day, which is why I can casually do it now. When I have free time next year I'll probably binge on it a little but I never go crazy anymore. League is a shit game with a shit ranking system, fuck it

Maybe I'm just a special snowflake?
>>
>>983716
This pretty much boils down to "when you look good, you feel good" and not using screens for entertainment. The thing is that TV is the best "free" entertainment, in a sense that a television is practically a necessity in a modern home whose inhabitants aren't unanimously businessmen.
>>
>>985055
>I also play Dota 2 for maybe a few hours a month, though when I had time with Dota 1 back in highschool I played for hours a day, which is why I can casually do it now. When I have free time next year I'll probably binge on it a little but I never go crazy anymore. League is a shit game with a shit ranking system, fuck it

Yes but my point is that for Dota 2 for example you NEED at least 500 hours of experience or else you will not have mastered any of the mechanics, know all the strengths, weaknesses and abilities of all heros and a few other things. Games also take up to an hour easily and if you lose one you want to play another to make up for it which can result in you spending 5 hours playing when you were playing on one hour.

It is by design inherently harmful and ruining many people's lives. It messes with your reward system because doing delayed gratification things like exercising, reading or studying is no longer fun when you're used to years of instant stimulation via pornography and videogaymes.

If you people think showering, brushing your teeth and flossing is "being a neatfreak"... Jeez I do not want to see what you look like.

It really is no wonder that over half the board is unemployed according to polls.

Huh? Isn't hygiene a given? Why are we making so much fuss over brushing teeth? Maybe we should put wiping our ass on this list since grown adults need to be told to wipe thier ass. What a dumb ass discussion and that guy you are responding to didn't after it.

>after it
start it*

Other than the retarded cold shower meme and snake oil supplements, these are all valid. I definitely hadn't considered only using bed for sleep. I basically live in my bed when I'm home.

haha. One of those things will make you interesting at parties

not something I do, but my friend has never gone to an interview completely sober and has never been turned down for a job.

>Read a lot of articles - i.e. Forbes
>Try to keep up with current events happening in the world by reading newspapers

I'm thinking about reading books, but I'm not sure where I would start. Any suggestions?

>5 posts in this thread about "le fishoil does nothing it's useless!", even after I respond to each one linking hundreds of studies on PubMed.
Do you really expect people to carefully review every single post in the thread before making their own posts? They're not IGNORING your studies. THEY HAVEN'T GOTTEN TO THEM YET, because that's how image boards work, ya dip.

Tell me more about these cochrane reviews, and why you are so confident in them despite the fact that you don't even consider YOURSELF smart enough to sift through these studies and make up your mind as to whether they are bullshit or not.

How do I get a wife like that?
>>
>>Take fishoil, ZMA, etc supplements
Do not take supplements. They do jack shit if they're not prescribed/recommended by a doctor.

Idk man just find a girl who likes it.

I do consider myself smart enough, but there is no need because of said cochrane reviews where people smarter than myself pan through the evidence for me and give me the necessary conclusion. If you knew anything about the field of pharmaceuticals you should be very familiar with what a cochrane review is, the fact that you don't speaks leagues of your understanding of modern medicine.

>Learning to program for 1 hour a day for 10 years? You'd be a good programmer most likely.

probably not. this is a common fallacy. to be a good programmer you need many of those 6-8 hour coding blocks. you'd be a below average coder if you programmed for only an hour a day. you'd probably lose interest after a few weeks if you set the bar so low.

actually billionaire success usually comes from giving up the right vices and finding the right partner. almost every big time billionaire i can think of has gone through this process.

steve jobs' success can be ascribed to his lack of anxiety (could you walk around shoe-less a college campus without taking any classes as he did? can you make friends easily with the right people? can you sell something? can you demand and get the best out of people? the man built a religion)

zuckerberg you're right likely got lucky. there were lots of social networking sites. his just happened to get popular at the ivy leagues because that's where he went. that gave it a huge fashionability bonus that other sites didn't have. that and the unlimited pictures and exclusivity (you used to have to invite people).

i think one of your vices may be your pessimism and negativity. there might be others. you should find them or you will fail.

Is it bad i do all my work in bed

Fucking neckbeard virgins :D

I agree with what OP has posted and the average person does not do these things. If you belive the average person does these things on the daily, you must not socialize with others or even work a job.
>>
Wow your post reminds me of that scene from american psycho when christian bale is describing his routine

How will spending more money on toothpaste and fish jizz help me be rich.

0/10 OP you're killing this board

Steve Jobs got lucky, as did every other. As I said, right place, right time. They didn't give up their vices.

And you aren't really in a place to know my personal position, I've already done well enough desu. No negativity or pessimism in that post, just realism.
