Well my hard and fast rule is to avoid pharma/healthcare because their success is dependent on the color of a beaker, and tend to fail after their first product teters out, but thats not the point.

RSI under 30 means they are massively oversold

How are these sorted? I get what RSI is but this is a bit confusing. I'm trying to learn here before I throw money away on the memes. Doesn't it show 0 for NBG as the RSI, or am I reading wrong? Because I wouldn't touch that. Haven't looked at the other ones yet.

>NEW YORK, NY -- A job at the investment bank Goldman Sachs is one of the most prized positions in the country. The company prides itself on attracting some of America's most talented professionals—ambitious, smart and highly motivated. Many people would probably be very surprised to discover that at least one undocumented Mexican immigrant was working shoulder to shoulder with the country's corporate elite.

>Former Goldman Sachs director Julissa Arce, 32, wants to change the way Americans think about immigration by sharing her story. And in her upcoming September 2016 memoir, "My (Underground) American Dream," she aims to describe her long and difficult journey from undocumented to documented, which took her from selling funnel cakes in Texas to Wall Street.

Friendly reminder that picking up a couple fast food restaurants is a great way to give your portfolio a little diversity. I wouldn't recommend QSR however MCD is solid and YUM shows potential for redeeming itself in the near future.
PLAY is a purchase based off my recent judgment of the unique situation that dave and busters is in; my city has been closing bowling lanes and arcades slowly over the last decade, while d&b continues to pick up customers for this reason. I believe this is a trend that will continue, however I don't believe there is massive upside potential just because of this little reason or anything; I still believe it's a good long term play.

DNKN I simply believe to be undervalued. There is still more space for expansion of this company, and I do believe they have the ability to steal customers from Starbucks. Time will tell how that goes. I'm betting my money that dunkin will see a higher value soon. But no guarantees, like PLAY. Or like any stock, really.

Point is, they don't seem to follow the market trend as much. Even in a dank recession, we still eat our amerikan fast food. It's a nice hold in uncertain times.

WILDCARD STOCK PICK:
MDXG.
Once a meme-of-the-week stock, this biotech baby is now a sorely misunderstood entity. A recent FDA guidance draft took a shit on the company because traders panicked and sold because FDA guidance related to your biotech company usually spells some doom.
However, this was not the case this time, but people are still wary of it. For some reason. When it was in the 6s a month and a half ago or so I was absolutely begging you guys to buy it, I think one or two people did, I hope they're happy about that. I'm going to CONTINUE to be daring and recommend people to buy in for the longer term. Look into what they do and their position in their field if you want to know why they will continue to be useful and successful.

Anyways, that's my 2 cents of the week.
>>

P.S. "long term" here means a few years; hopefully everyone here with some money has true longterm accounts on another broker like TDA, where your real longterm investments are.

I started to get worried about XOMA after the second recent insiders sell for the market price. What is the point for insiders to sell their shares for the market price if the upcoming Dec 1st conference call would change anything? I guess I should have sold my shares at $1.41 at the last spike

$HART is going to the moon. I sold on Friday when it went up 30% and made $25. I bought low on the dip this morning and now its at +34% and about to hit $3. I'm looking at around $50 profit.

I can't take issue with your math, that is indeed why many are here. However, there are larger issues which many here aren't seeing.
If you trade with RH you are effectively crippling yourself, as you can only trade for about half the market day, and even then only in one direction.
My point is that it's sort of like entering a bike race on foot, in order to duck the entry fee. Yeah, it's cheaper, but do you stand a chance?

You are lecturing people who trade up to 5-10K at the very most. I think your expectations are a bit skewed here. Some people are just content with buying and selling 100 shares of some micro cap stocks.
>>
>>979105
I'm not lecturing anyone.
All I've pointed out is that many of the people "trading" here are using a platform which limits their access and participation.
Even if someone is "content with buying and selling 100 shares", why would they kneecap themselves this way?
Oh, that's right. To avoid $5 in commissions.
Brilliant.
Don't you realize that you'll lose far more from inability to access the market/settlement periods than you will from commission?
Sounds like you're the one skewed, priority-wise.
>>
Is it too late to get into HART?

desu I feel like if I have to ask, it is. But hey, maybe someone here knows better.
>>
>>979122
>To avoid $5 in commissions
Let's do some simple math.
You buy $200 worth stock, pay $5 comission
A week later, stock went 5% which is pretty good. You sell your shares for $210, and pay another $5 commission. In the end you suck dick
>>
>>979140
Let's do more simple math.
You buy $200 worth of stock, pay $0 commission.
Stock tanks after hours while you have no access to it through RH.
The next day it opens down 97%. In the end, you lose $194 (and suck dick).
Yeah, your way is better.
>>
>>979149
I would not touch pre and post-market shit until you're 100% know what you're doing. And according to this thread, most of the fellow /biz/-inessmen - don't
>>
>>979159
>I would not touch pre and post-market shit until you're 100% know what you're doing

You're "touching it" just by buying stocks in the first place.

Here is my gift to all money hungry bastards on this board. It was so hard to find but it's literally a godsend.

I hope you enjoy stock picking/homework as much as me, this thing shaved at least 50% off my research time.

>>
Should I sell $HART or hold on until the investors meeting and a longish haul?

Looks like an okay stock but they have a negative profit margin. They also have a worrying outlook for revenue growth but they have a good debt balance and decent cash flows.

Overall not bad but there are better options.

I would recommend having a look at west jet

I'm thinking if the CEO, CFO and director bought tens of thousands of shares two weeks ago for 3 days straight, the meeting tomorrow has to be bretty gud news. So I'm holding until at least tomorrow, maybe longer.

It's a good stock but it's not the right time to buy. It is too high right now. I would re commend you guys to watch this and wait till it drops a bit and catch the recovery gains.

How do you discover about things like the ceo buying shares?

WestJet

The fuel costs have come down and the airline is reporting sick profits because they pocketed the difference.
