I'm more surprised the supervisor of the mine didn't just give everyone huge checks and kept the diamond for himself.
It's the largest in the world seeing the largest had been split up in 9 different pieces.
It is humongous in size that thing should be worth at least ~1 billion probably waaaay more seeing as it is the only one of its size.
