Only get loan if you are already investing and have some knowledge and experience.
I invest in real estate, and some are bought with cash and some with loans.
Read some books and join an investor club first, or go to a real estate office to talk to a broker, or to a stock office to talk with a broker.

Its what I did to learn. I'm up 2k.
and lifes good
I could very well have been down 2k.
and needed to do a few weekend temp jobs.

So long as:

>Return on investment beats the cost of capital
>You otherwise don't have the money for a sound investment
>You have an ability to pay off the debt with money external to the investment eventually

Then go for it. Just be aware of the risks.

There are margin accounts which give up to two times leverage, and theres portfolio margin account which give up to 6ish times leverage but you need over 100k to open one.

Theres also futures you can get into which offer more leverage, and theres no interest because its not a loan.
