There is definitely stupid shit in that but, to play devil's advocate, you usually don't expect your shitty website to become 10 times the size of Silk Road when you styart it.

There is a fine middle line between sophisticated businessman and drug traffickers. The people who fall into that niche, learn quickly that password/encryption oversec will hurt you much more then help you.
Forgetting/losing your password, phrase or equipment failure will destroy you when you have real money and business involved. So you hide in plan sight and you sync multiple accounts. PGP isn't stopping the cia, TFI or NSA.
