So I was fired by my company a few months ago and I noticed these idiots haven't changed the admin password to their website.

I could easily login (using TOR), change password and email address, destroy all backups and ask for a ransom in BTC.

I know how they work and doing so would cost them a shit ton of money (plus bad publicity). Pretty sure they would pay.

Should I do it? How much should I ask? (they make 25-30 millions € every year)

Ask for monero.
>>
>>2806530
Ask for Monacoin and replace all images with Mona.
>>
>>2806530
Since you asked the question here, it's already over.
>>
>>2806537
Too complicated to purchase.
>>
The fact you got this all planned out makes me think they made the right decision to fire you.
>>
>>2806566

friendly reminder only like 15-20% of murders get solved and those are usually from family members.
you could literally just do this and take the money
>>
>>2806609
Do you really enjoy getting assfucked by Tyrone so much?
>>
>>2806609
yes make sure you are behind 2-3 vpns and a virtual machine and then use TOR.

And use a good btc mixer to mask your transactions.

do it faggot, I'm sure you'll think of everything to cover your tracks and get whatever it is you want in return for their "website"
>>
>>2806530

This is why btc will be regulated.
>>
>>2806690
Explain.
>>

only in uk-stan
>>

you mention backups so in case they exist, backups are centrally managed under a dedicated, closed system; having access merely to website admin console or a mail server superuser account ain't shit; the restore process takes literally minutes from bare metal machine

best case scenario: you generate some business for their IT contractor and the company doesn't do shit about you but rather focuses on a complete security audit, which should've been carried out long ago
worst case scenario: you generate some business for their IT contractor and they decide to put in some time and money towards gathering forensic evidence that may or may not lead back to you
as a recently-fired employee you'd be a prime suspect since there's a clear motive and means to carry out such an attack so don't be a salty idiot
>>
Once I installed a bitcoin miner on a tech store computer via usb. I set it to run on startup and had it sending btc to my wallet every week. I always wondered if they knew and just didn't care
>>
>>2806885
what the fuck thats genius
>>
>>2806844
>you mention backups so in case they exist, backups are centrally managed under a dedicated, closed system
They use a Wordpress plugin that uploads backups to the server. You can delete all the backups from admin panel.
>>
>>2806932
I remember watching the row of computers all playing the same screensaver except the one with the miner on it was playing it at like 2 fps, fucking lol'd
>>
>>2806530
Bad idea anon. While you would likely succeed you'd be a prime suspect if they had the police get involved and investigate who was responsible. Just try and siphon money out of their system discretely instead.
>>
Use their hardware to discretely mine some shitcoin.

Sure hope you know the public key if you're using SSH.
>>
Really bad idea, you will be an obvious suspect, although they won't be able to prove it probably
>>
>>2807135
So if I cover my tracks I risk nothing.
>>
>>2807149
How do you want to cash out?
>>
>>2806638
>vpn into tor

top kek
>>
>>2807161
I'll use a BTC mixer then buy to Monero on Bittrex/Polo, send to a wallet, then buy BTC again and when I feel like selling I'll use Coinbase/Kraken/LocalBitcoin.

You probably won't get caught but they will suspect you and that could lead to the policee checking into your life. Probably not something you want.

1) you're a pussy OP we all know you're not gonna do shit.
2) reported this thread to the FBI anyway
