If you buy a meme shitcoin the low volume will fuck your hard and you won't be able to close your position unless it triples it's volume or something. You also stand a chance of losing money or becoming a bagholder for months or a year or longer. If you buy something like Bitcoin or Ethereum your gains are lower but you aren't risking as much as buying shitcoin #100 when it crashes to nothing.
It's all about risk and the gains on shitcoins are the only way to really get rich right now though.

If a coin is going to be listed on bittrex that usually bumps the price by quite a bit so it's way less risky. Happened with Mysterium for me, I sold and bought back in at the lower price. I would say yes.
