How do I play this game?

Back to flipping burgers, bitch.
the guy who made that picture is trying to scam you. 'never loss trading', '3 days to financial freedom'... give me a fucking break. generally speaking : the fancier the chart the shittier the trader is. especially if its filled with all kinds of 'indicators'.
>>1784775
don't do it,
>t made and lost $20000 during oil collapse but kept rerolling profits into more puts
>>1784818
I don't care about that, I just want to get into trading.

Why trade when you can poke a whole for ~150k.
Mfw grew up on a drilling rig.
Mfw $0 to invest when i saw the crash comming from miles away
Mfw not local oil baron.

Crude Oil is a VERY fast market. Difficult for beginners.
Learn to read price action on literally anything else before attempting to trade CL.
Oil is done. seriously so many alternative energies are being held back or straight sabotaged by petrol money. and the elites that have kept this out dated oil charade going are crumbling fast

Your opinion on the future of energy markets means nothing to those of us who can make money whether it goes up or down. Learn to trade analytically and not emotionally or miss out on possible future returns.

What the actual fuck are you on about mate?
>>1784832
Just go down to your local Barnes and Noble and purchase "day trading for dummies" if you're just trying to make a quick buck. If you want to make serious money then you're going to need a lot of expensive hardware and a seriously fast internet connection. You'll also need somewhat extensive knowledge of programming and algorithms. You can make money without that stuff but that's where the real money is.

That's what I'm after. Learning the ropes with manual trading, then moving on to algos. Thanks.

anyone who relies on indicators is a fool

insider info
If you like the way oil moves and you feel like you understand its price action, then learning to trade /qm, the mini crude contract, until you are profitable is a good idea before trading /cl.

Commodity futures are a tough game to play, things change quite fast - for example the difference between 10:30am and 12:00pm could be thousands of $ for you.
Are you trying to sell and not getting filled? Are you setting limit orders?
When selling, I like to try limit FOK orders to get a certain price but if it won't fill I'll do a market sell good until close and cancel it if the price runs off.
The longer your order sits on the book the more likely your are to be filled - if PA is pointing down, try selling a cent lower than bid.
>>1784775
Manually executing orders by yourself doesn't work any more. Things move to fast and the margins are too small.
You need to get good with an algorithmic or automated trading group to make any serious money.

>You need to get good with an algorithmic or automated trading group
You mean I should wagecuck to somebody to learn it?
>>1786675
Yes, unless of course you want to waste your time losing money.

How is learning (even if from mistakes) wasting time?
