Is there demand for freelance essay editing on college campuses?
I'm thinking of posting ads at my local community college to edit students' essays for a price. Will people pay for this?
I was thinking like $3-$7 a page, depending on the type of editing.
After establishing trusted contacts, I would write entire essays for people for a much higher price, but obviously I won't advertise that.
If this works, I will extend advertisement to other college campuses as well.
The ads would basically just be flyers placed on bulletin boards.
What do you think /biz/? Is this a good idea?
Such services already exist, so sure you could.

I forgot to mention, I'm currently a high school student who is pretty good at writing essays, and will be attending a reputable college soon. So my credentials aren't amazing, which is why I will be charging less than professional tutors.
I was also thinking a first time discount would be a good idea, so that there's less risk for new customers, because they don't know if I'm a good writer yet.

Are my prices decent?
Any tips?

Why don't you go look for yourself you fucking mongoloid
Try your idea. If it doesn't work try something else. What do you need /biz/ for?

It's not scalable you fucking mongoloid.

Yeah it is, you hire grad students to do the work for you and skim 30%, create a little website that automates it, bam you got yourself a business

Also, it doesn't really need to be scalable, I'm mostly looking for a job on the side more interesting, and probably much more profitable than working at McDonald's (I'm just a senior in high school).

>senior in highshool
>editing college essays

I was just accepted at one of the top 20 english colleges, and I'm offering my services to students at community colleges. So I think I have a lot to offer to students who aren't particularly skilled with writing.
But yeah I recognize I'm not coming from a highly professional position, which is why my rates are fairly low (I've changed them to even lower than the OP). If they want a professional, they can go ahead and pay $50 an hour for a tutor. I'm just offering an option for those who can't afford that but still want some form of help.

They already offer editing assistant in "writing labs" on every college campus in America.
You have to completely write the papers. I did this for a while, and would charge based on the assignment. It's bad money. Probably $40 for 3 hours of hard work (if it's not an A or high B they'll never come back)

College kids are
1) Poor
> They'll never pay more than $40
2) Less lazy than you think
> The smallest assignments you'll get is 10 pages
3) It doesn't work on community campuses
They're a job for a reason, no assignment they give will ever require more than 5 pages and they don't grade harshly, anyone can get a decent grade without you
