If you divide the annual subsidies of solar energy (39b) by the number of jobs (371k) you end up with 105k dollars per worker. Solar energy produces less than 1% of our energy. Is Elon Musk the greatest business man?

He's not a man.

He's a god.

You do realise climate change is a real threat, right?

The subsidies are only a fraction of the catastrophic costs that are yet to come.
>>
>>1768422
39 billion over 5 years

21k per worker

sounds about right
>>
>>1768422
Thats not even how employee salaries are calculated

You realize that third world nuclear power plants made in the 80s produce more energy than the biggest solar photovoltaic power stations in the world, right?

>You do realise climate change is a real threat, right?

Hahahahahahahahahaha

It's a bunch of bullshit cooked up to keep the grant money flowing to hacks and start a carbon market for Goldman Sachs to swindle everyone.

Ice cores show co2 is a lagging indicator of warming. That's because the warming itself is driven by solar cycles and the co2 is coming from the oceans and microbial respiration in top soil AFTER the sun has already warmed them up.

Is the global warming on Mars and Pluto also because of SUVs?

We're about to enter a cooling cycle anyhow good luck "hiding the decline" on that one.

Global warming will go down as the biggest scientific clusterfuck since phlogiston and epicycles.

climate warming has already morphed to climate change

not everything will work as an excuse to it, not just average warming
>>
Those numbers don't seem right and I'm not going to trust "cnsnews.com" but if you want to go by (amount of subsidies / employment rate) other energy sources are subsidized to.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_subsidies#United_States
I think solar's more labour intensive as of now to get set up, so if you really want decentralized make-work programs it's the way to go I suppose as opposed to more capital intensive centralized sources like nuclear or coal.
Other nations like China are still going to keep subsidizing R&D and modernizing their energy grids to become less dependent on fossil fuels so don't think cutting costs associated with subsidizing R&D will put you in a more long run competitive situation.

Fucking retard, we've been in a cooling cycle - which is why it's so alarming that the Earth is warming. People like you really need to be culled from the population, your intentional desire to be uniformed hurts the entire human race.

Yeah being a bloviating pitch man that fleeces taxpayers to pay for your boondoggles is certainly a good business model. As long as he keeps coming up with grander and grander projects I'm sure he'll be fine.

sources say over 39b annually.

Literally kill yourself. Im not even going to give a rebuttal. Just slam your neck into a band saw and snuff it.

>don't close down the toxic benzine factory
>afterall, most of our water is already poisoned naturally from the huge lead deposits in the ground
That's the kind of reasoning you're using. If global warming is a natural cycle, we are still fucked if we don't start prepping. And we can still contribute to it further, just like adding benzine to leady water would make things worse.

At least let us tag SOME investment into climate change for techs that are promising independent of whether climate change occurs. If the G20 spend 1 trillion over 5 years, worst case we have new solar and battery tech even if climate change is a hoax. But if climate change is not a hoax, we're avoiding untold trillions of dollars in the future.

Assuming that the sea hasnt already gotten too warm and we arnt locked into a 500 year melt.

Totally convincing science there guy. Whole thing has been a scheme since day 1. Have fun living like a peasant while the thought leaders of your religion live lavishly.

>spend billions upon billions every year for clean energy that can't turn a profit.
Why? If you're afraid of global warmings then use that money to subsidize safe nuclear reactors. They actually can survive on their own and it's clean. A couple had to shut down when oil prices dropped so why not subsidies those and use the rest for R&D.

Btw the sierra club is helping Illinois keep open two plants.

he's a FRAUD. The earth is FLAT. NASA is lying. There is no such thing as "space". Elon Musk is just another SCAMMER
