i use it just like a calculator, it's awesome! and it's right there on your key board so you don't have to transition to another device(ie your standalone calc.). my keyboard even has a lil key that pulls up the microsoft Calculator app when you press it. i love my life and i would kill myself if i didnt have this, so i gotta ask; what's your beef, chief?
