What are some ways to earn money on the side? I live in UK, I have a full time 9-5 job and some spare time every now and then(not keen on starting a family yet).

I don't want to go to a second job as taxes would make it not worth the effort.

I'm looking for legal way of earning some quid in a spare time, I welcome any tips and advice?

Invest in dividend funds. You'll need some decent capital to start off with. And personally I reinvest all divided returns so you won't actually see it until you decide to sell your positions or harvest the dividends

write ebooks. I've got around £10 a month my best selling ebook. If I improved the quality, chose a better niche and marketed more I can easily see getting a much better return

rental property - though buy to let has been shafted recently so I wouldn't do it. I have however invested in property crowdfunding, I've put £2,600 into a property which is expected to get £10 return for the 3 year term, and then a nice profit when it's finally sold off at the end of the term. I could sell my shares in the property before if I chose

I don't have much capital as of yet, so I'll skip investing yet.

Same goes for buying to let. I don't have enough capital and don't earn enough to get into it. I did consider that once I get more money.

Writing ebooks sounds very good. Can you tell me more? Point me into right direction, please.

I make about 100$/m by playing low stakes online poker. I have played for a long time, though.

Yeah online poker still very doable, bang out 100k hands at 5nl playing abc you're looking at $200-$300 a month

Sounds interesting. I am not a poker expert, but I did play a bit in the past. I can practice and git gud if needed. Tell me more.
>>

you will need to practice lots, lots of sites, though 2p2 forums pretty good for questions and answers. Just get on stars, get 10-15 buyins at 5nl (cash or zoom, zoom has a max of 4 tables so you might have to play some cash tables to make up) and play nitty, set miner-y poker and grind up.

You could probably just make friends at a bar and play poker with them. I have a buddy that's trying desperately to do this, and honestly, I think the only reason he hasn't succeeded in getting a crew together is that he only started obsessing over poker like last week. Poker games are easy to start. Just make sure no one stabs you.
>>
>>1750953
if he's in UK most pubs have poker games, but desu just play online, can't multitable irl
>>
>>1750960
but real life gets you hard cash immediately and poker in general is not really a job. you also can't bluff people out online. and poker itself is literally random (esp if you're one of those peasants that plays Texas Hold Em)

a spare gig to make money on the side would be something like freelance writing, freelance web dev, making small vidya gaems or mobile apps, maintaining a blog or similar for advertising bux, etc
>>
>>1749978
Write a book and have some people proof read it to make sure it's good, sell the book on amazon
Write more books, start finding ways to improve the popularity of your book (blog, youtube, social media, etc)
Find out what demographic best benefits from your book and cater to that demographic
>>
>>1750968
would take too long. it's better to churn out (sexy) fanfic and start taking commissions

its easier than furry porn, which is more clique-y than a boarding school and requires artistic skill. but any modern person should know how to write
>>
>>1750964
>but real life gets you hard cash immediately
Non casino (poker) games are kinda just for fun, waste of time really
>you also can't bluff people out online
Yes you can...
>and poker itself is literally random (esp if you're one of those peasants that plays Texas Hold Em)
What?? NLHE if anything has the highest attainable edge, compared to draw and PLO etc..

Seriously OP don't bother playing these small games where people are complete wankers and it's a huge waste of time.. just get online, learn it and if you aren't a mong grinding NL5 can get you $200-$300 a month.
>>
>>1750969
Then become a patreon and write some kind of lewd book or find the next best way for men to masturbate
>>
>>1750975
>Yes you can...
literally how its all shitty avatars, if that

you cant smug out at people

>Seriously OP don't bother playing these small games
iawtp poker is a stupid way to make money. it's the most fair casino game, but that doesnt make it at all a consistent money-making device
>>
Sell drugs on the side
>>
>>1751001
You have a very low level understanding of what bluffing in poker is.. There are so many things in the game of poker outside of live reads that can lead to playing and reading bluffs/semi-bluffs correctly.
