Hey /biz/
Currently, I work part time as a cashier while doing my degree.
I let myself be commanded around my the bosses. Also:
>Have worked too many Saturdays than supposed to
>Worked too many hours than supposed to
Essentially I'm a little bitch. I read Dale Carnegies book "How To Win Friends And Influence People" which made me too helpful for everyone.
How do I stop being taken advantage of and get respected at my workplace?

Stop being 15 is a good start

I've been treated by my parents as a 15 year old most of my life. Where do I start?
>>1742931
By growing up and acting like an adult. Then you won't be treated like a teenager.

Start saying "no."
OP here, I'll soon be quitting to take up a job in my degree. What can I do to get respected there too?

never say no to the owner, unless your safety is at risk/or they are putting you at an inconveinence

This.
If you are under 25 yo, you are worth jack shit. They can get hundreds of teenagers to do your job. You do whatever the fuck they ask you to do and if you dont like it you take another job

You put up with it, thats life.
You dont like it, you find a better job, not bitch about it.

Same thing, suck as much dick as possible. You have to start at the bottom overworking to get anywhere
