ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?

Parents did the same for my sisters but not for me, here I was wondering why my insurance is $400+ and theirs are around $120.

OP my limit is $3000 - and I got there ALL BY MY FUCKING SELF!

Christ, how awful. Ten years ago I had $50k on just a single BoA card.

Go get the limits up on all of those. You need to get back to at least a million unsecured before it's worth maxing them all out on Bitcoins and leaving the country.

Apply for a Secured card instead, after 6 months they will bump you to $1000 limit.

I got my credit card 4 years ago as a neet. Im still a neet but they keep offering to increase my limit every year for some reason.

$4050 limit on Capital One card. It's my first actual CC and I got it last march. Initial limit was $3000.

$3000 limit on Kohls card shared with my mom that I was somehow put on 18 years ago. I am 25 now, so this was awesome for my credit.

>>1737358

Is it co-signed with your parents or something? No way they'd give you a 20k limit with no job.
>>
>>1737390
>Is it co-signed with your parents or something? No way they'd give you a 20k limit with no job.

No its not co-signed. I had 30k in the bank when I applied though and have paid it off in full every month since ive had it so im sure that helped.

I only use it a 20-30 times a year though which is why im surprised they keep giving me increases.
>>
Fuck B of A.

My first Credit Card was with B of A at age 18 (student account) It has been a nightmare dealing with them over the years.

It's damn near 15 years later and I have a job paying me $95,000 a year on average. I have numerous other cards including an AMEX card that is less than 2 years old with a limit of $30,000 already.

I call and ask B of A if I can get a limit raise from the measly $5000 it has climbed to from $1000 originally.

They ask a few questions, say I am approved and will get a letter in the mail with details.

2 weeks later I get a letter stating $500 dollar increase for a total of $5500 limit. I also get a credit score update that shows a hard hit on my credit which drops my 780 score down to around 750.

Fucking BofA is shit tier. If it wasn't for the age of the card, I would fucking literally shit on it and burn it and tell them to fuck off.
>>
I don't have a credit card.

I have a mortgage and a car loan though.
>>
I've got three cards from Chase with limits of $6000, $10000, and $15000. Plus my Amazon Store Card with a limit of $4000. I really don't need all this since I put less than $2000 per month on all my cards. But, it's nice to know it's there.
>>
I have a credit card from 2005 with 2k balance that I've never paid. Being in the military they've never found me. Should I be a good goyand pay it?
>>
22 yr old

>$1900 Wells Fargo student card (1st card)
>$3500 Chase Slate (applied when it was the only card that offered a free credit score, barely use it so never cared for points. Now every card offers free score checks with points
>$10,000 on my AMEX cash blue everyday rewards card. Lied about how much I made and they gave me $7500 starting, 2 months later bumped me up.

I keep my credit utilization rather low, only about $2500 in CC debt which isn't much.
>>
>>1738045
Your credit score is shit then
>>
>>1738105
2005 was 12 years ago. Would it even appear on your credit report? When I was 18 I had a department store card I was delinquent on. Several years later it doesn't show on my credit report at all.

>>
>>1738178

What?
>>
>>1738382

What's the point of a prepaid credit card? Why not just use a debit card?
>>
>>1737235
many european country has totally different credit system than the us. for example the credit scores don't exist here. that means if you have a credit card you only expose yourself to the risk of rolling balance with no long term benefit of lower interest rates whatsoever.

it usually makes little sense to have a cc unless for the rewards. but in rewards there is no real big competition so they also tend to suck.
>>
>>1736635
Exactly
>>
1400€ on the one cc I have. It's more than enough for my usual spending but I've been meaning to increase it so I don't have to worry about the limit when traveling but haven't gotten to that yet.

>>1738496
Except credit cards usually offer some benefits and safety when you buy shit using them. There are literally no negatives as long as you don't roll the balance.
>>
>>1736488
Discover is a pretty decent company. I applied when I turned 18 and got approved.
>>
>>1738675
>Except credit cards usually offer some benefits and safety when you buy shit using them.
the safety stuff is really the least concern 99% of the time. debit cards have almost as good safety features as ccs.
the rewards are the sole reason to use cc in my opinion. but the cost of the card and the risk using a cc and accidentally rolling a balance probably more than negates them for the average user.

banks push ccs because it's good business for them, not you. only 10% of cc holders play it perfectly an even less is able to reap any real benefits.
>>
>>1737390
I got a 12k limit with AMEX with no job, but I get a military grant every month.
>>
24k on my Sapphire Reserve, between the other random ones I've got it's probably about 40k total
>>
>>1738764
How do you "accidentally" roll your balance? Besides at least for me, and plenty of people I know, the minimum payment is my credit limit so I can't roll any balance even if I wanted to.
>>
>>1736165
Probably similar? I got like 10 cards for credit building. 4 or 5 are department store and unsecured cards I got when my credit was 400 and I was stupid.

Pushing 800 atm.

You noobies and NEETS seriously need to pay your debts and keep an eye on shit or u will be 30 years old unable to afford a home like me.

Just doing a little credit maintenance will save you thousands of dollars that you traded for you life if u work.
>>
>>1736176
50? Holy fuck. Why?

Build credit better somehow?

Investing?
>>
>>1736488
I used secured cards cause my credit was shit.

Stay away from department store cards.

Any name brand like visa, Mastercard, discover works.

Google how to properly use them and get a few.

Your credit will go to the moon and anything you want to buy will have u getting your dick sucked by the salesman. Mutherfuckers start humpinggetting air when they see a 800 credit score.

I know because I was 1.
>>
>>1736706
Get a few more cards. Every few months ask them to up your limit and if there interest to lower it. Worst they do is say no. But u could get an increase and theven bigger the better when making a major purchase. Even a bank loan.
>>
>>1736709
Me too anon. It's never too late
>>
>>1736940

In america you are either broke or use our cucked system of credit.

It's how uncle Sam keeps his thumb on the working man. Kinda like u guys and your 60% taxes or whatever.

School loans from the government are the biggest scam in america.

Take advantage of kids with unlimited Capitol in your vault and loan at low af interest.

Kid pays dealt for decades then.

If I close the account my score will take a hit. Age and number of accounts. I plan on buying house number 2 in the future and getting that score back up to 800. Gotta play their game.

My car is 0.0% APR, and my home loan is an FHA loan at 3.25%.

I can't really beat that. I just don't have a need for a fabulous credit score, it's currently sitting at 670 without any blemishes on file. It goes up a point every month, and I have enough in the bank/brokerage account to ride anything out.
>>
$1k. They always offer more but I decline. I only really use it for paying automatic subscriptions like Netflix Xbox live etc.

Never refuse a credit increase if its pre-approved. All it does it help build your credit.
