I have a small business. Made about $60k this year. Gonna deduct like $20k between expenses and a bunch of other shit. I had a guy work for me a little and I had him fill out a 1099. He only worked a few times and made about $1,500. Also, I have $5k in the stock market and it has made me some money.
SO. Should I use a local CPA for my taxes or TurboTax?
I called several local firms and the only one who answered the phone said it would cost at least $650 for them to file for me.

taxation is theft
taxes go towards blowing up children in third world countries, if you don't pay your taxes you are held at gunpoint and thrown in a cage, taxes steal a lot of people's income and creates poverty a lot of time, fuck the IRS and every facet of socialism/communism, get the fuck out of our country

turbotax for business covers all that. It's really easy to use.

I heard they hire a bunch of people who don't really know what they are doing, stock the offices with them, and those people file your taxes.
Just a rumor though.

Assuming you are US based, your broker will send a form sometime mid feb that will list any stock/option transactions and dividends. Federally I do not find it too difficult as turbotax will automatically import the required info.
